He wants to apply for wife and baby.. But wife's passport still bears her maiden name.. Is it necessary to do a new passport? Or go ahead with old passport.. Still valid for 3 years.

She can use the old passport. She will need to submit proof of relationship (marriage certificate) n probably include relationship pictures.

The MP I contacted over a month ago just reached out this evening. I guess the reason for the delay in ppr is because Lagos office is the one issuing it. On the tracker it shows “Nigeria” as the issuing country.

To be honest I don't know how people are handling this... my study permit was less than 4 weeks from when biometrics got updated. This visitor visa for my husband is stressing me tf out. Drop BVL, see visa details, still waiting for the Passport Request...

They give priority to study and work. Thank God they’re even ready to clear visit application backlogs, imagine waiting since 2020. Ircc no try at all, the wait is almost over sha.

2. Kids don’t do biometrics n medical isn’t required for visitor’s visa application. Every other thing is done online.

Don’t declare two months, that’s will affect your home tie, you can’t claim you’ll be off work for 2 months. 2-3 weeks is okay to state during your application.

What error message are you getting? It was straightforward when I did it and can’t really remember the registration. Check few pages back, someone explained it.

The Visas are granted for 10 years effective from day you applied. However, this is limited by the expiry date of your passport. So if your passport expires in 2027, the date that will be printed on the actual visa will be 2027.

Canada visas do not extend beyond validity of passport unlike US visas.

My colleague traveled with one way ticket to Canada on visitor visa and I called klm Dey said no issue. If you say Poe experience I can still understand. I don’t want to talk on the issue anymore. I will wait on the person traveling on Thursday for airline n Poe experience.

That aside, help us beg ircc to release ppr.

What will be asked are general questions you already filled duration your application. POE experienced is ntn biggie if you were truthful during your application. If you claim you’ve family in canada, if asked about your accommodation, just state you’ll be staying with them. If you claim you’re financing the trip, make sure you’ve the money in your account. We don’t need to panic o.

Dear Emma,

I disagree that anyone should a flight ticket while they are still expecting PPR or when the counterfoil hasn't been put on the passport yet and returned to them. Yes, the Canadian journey is faith-based, but I would advise that people take it one step at a time.

If you have gotten BVL and probably have a visa document number on your tracker, keep sending reminders until your PPR lands, then plan to send your passport and let it return to you before booking a flight.

Airlines will check if you have proper documentation before you board because they will be fined if they fail to do so. If you require a visa to travel, they will check to make sure that the visa is current before they clear you for boarding. Airlines don't care if you book one-way or round-trip.

It’s the immigration officer at the point of entry who might ask to see your return ticket. It’s advisable to have your return ticket when you’re traveling for vacation or visiting with a tourist visa.

The immigration at point of entry might see traveling with a one-way ticket as evidence that you're not planning to return to your country.

Clearly understood, that’s why I said it’s good to be on the safe side.

I’ve seen/read 3 cases of people who travelled with one way ticket, I’m still waiting for a review on Friday/ Saturday. Also I feel I’ve a reasonable reason to give cbsa if questioned or worst case I will buy if required by the officer.

I’m visiting my spouse not Tourism, my proposed visit is for 3wks, the distance between her birthday and our wedding anniversary is 5wks. I can tell immigration I’m yet to decide if I will be waiting till our anniversary or not, reason I didn’t book a return ticket.

I understand booking a return ticket is good to be on the safe side. But it’s not listed anywhere as a requirement. Worst case the officer will mandate you to book a return ticket. I don’t think they’ll send someone back because of return ticket only when other documents ticks.

That’s why I said I will wait for his update, personally I’m booking one way and I’ve a reason already Incase of interrogation. If my friend’s spouse enters without issue, then I’m going with one way.

I just remembered my colleague traveled on visitor visa last year, he’s back to Nigeria. I called to confirm, he said he went with one way ticket and no issue at POE.

It can’t be because of ticket. I will wait for my friend’s spouse to arrive on Friday and ask for update. She booked Air France.

Check KLM/Air France for June, anything outside June is crazy. Those with visa documents can book June mid-ending with faith.

It is mandatory, the airline will not let her board without a return ticket for a visit visa. and if for some reason they let her board, she will have issues with Canadian immigration, because she won't be able to prove intent to return. For students, workers and permanent residents, it is different, and they can book one way.

That’s a false information o, airline can’t stop you from boarding because of that. I just finish speaking with KLM customer service (+234 1 277 80 50). She said decision is mine to book either one way or retune, they’ve no restriction.

Visit visa. I’ve called airline to confirm, they said it’s doesn’t matter, that’s immigration/cbsa job. Early April, I read about someone what traveled with one way ticket on a visitor visa.

I don’t know the person, I couldn’t get direct information. I will chill till Friday/Sat to get update from the guy.

It means there’s issue with application fee payment. It’s was either paid with fraudulent card or there was a charge back. Did you pay it yourself or used agent?

Try to pay the money, write a good letter of explanation and send it via Webform, anything can happen or just submit another application.

Also when did you apply and when did you get this message?
