The way we analyze things in this Country is sometimes amazing.
In construction, I believe (since I am not an expert) that so many other factors aside lenght are considered.
The rail line in Ghana and the one in Lagos, do they have the same terrain? Is the number of people to be compensated the same?
What is the approved government percentage for compensation in both Countries?
Recently I read a post where Swaziland, a Country with a total population of about 1,357,161 was used to rubbish Nigeria, a Country with over 199,805,437 population in the power sector.
I agree that we are not doing the best we could, I also agree that the rate of corruption is damn high even in our very own homes, offices, Services etc but we need to stop these comparisons and strive to do the little we can in our respective areas of calling.
Peace.
Politics › Buhari Closing Remarks At The Valedictory Session For Members Of FEC (2015-2019) by Emmahunk(op): 10:07pm On May 22, 2019
CLOSING REMARKS BY H.E. PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI AT THE VALEDICTORY SESSION FOR MEMBERS OF THE FEDERAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (2015 – 2019) AT THE STATE HOUSE COUNCIL CHAMBER ON 22ND MAY, 2019.

Today’s Federal Executive Council meeting is the last time we will meet as a cabinet before the commencement of the second and final term of this Administration.

2. Our first meeting in this chamber was in November 2015. Over the past three and a half years, we worked together to deliver our campaign promises. I strongly believe that it is this team work that led to the successes recorded during our first term.

3. Some of our colleagues, with whom we started this journey, unfortunately are not here to join us in celebrating our successes.

4. Specifically, I must recognise our late brother, James Ocholi SAN who passed away in a fearful motor accident with his wife, Blessing and son, Joshua only four months after being sworn in as a Minister.

5. I want us to all put him, and indeed his family, in our memory. He was a true patriot committed to our CHANGE agenda.

6. I also acknowledge the contributions of other Council members who resigned before the completion of our tenure to pursue other opportunities.

7. You will recall that when we started this journey, our country was facing numerous challenges.

8. We inherited a broken economy which eventually went into recession in the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2016. The situation was further compounded by insecurity and massive corruption.

9. Many would have given up. Indeed, many outside commentators said our situation was well nigh hopeless. However, we all came together and pushed forward to deliver our campaign promise to rescue our country from its parlous state.

10. Although we all had a common vision, we frequently had heated debates in this room on the best way to achieve our goals. These differing views are what made the decisions we took all the more rational.

11. It is this quality that made me retain my cabinet for the full term. Each of you in this room has a unique skill and strength. We are a reflection of the Nigeria we aspire to achieve. A diverse but tolerant nation where no one is silenced and where every opinion should be heard and considered.

12. I want you all to leave this meeting proud to have served your nation to the best of your ability.

13. You should be proud to have been part of the Government that liberated the local governments previously under Boko Haram rule.

14. You should be proud to have contributed to our food security and economic diversification agenda which led to the revival of our rural agrarian economy

15. You should be proud to have been part of the team that developed the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan which led Nigeria exiting its worst recession in decades.

16. You should be proud to have introduced the social investment program that enhanced livelihoods of millions of Nigerians.

17. You should be proud to have participated in settling outstanding pensions of many senior citizens abandoned by previous governments while supporting state governments to meet their salary arrears.

18. And of course, you should all be proud to have overseen the most ambitious road, rail and airport rehabilitation programs in the history of our country.

19. I want to put on record, that your achievements in the last three and a half hears has guaranteed your position in the history books of this nation. You have certainly built the foundations for an improved economy and a more purposeful government.

20. Although today is our last council meeting, I expect all of you to continue working until Tuesday, 28th May 2019 when you will officially hand over your schedules to your respective Permanent Secretaries. Your handing over letters should be submitted to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

21. I want to conclude by thanking all of you for agreeing to serve our nation during these difficult times. I want to use this opportunity to recognise the silent partners to this cabinet, your spouses, families and friends, who supported you through these years.

22. I wish you the very best of luck and pray for your successes, for dear families and our for country in the years ahead.

Thank you and God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

While there is no justification for crime where it exists, the question is how can a house of Assembly member go on raid without law enforcement officials because I can't see any.
Could it be that these so called kidnappers are rather thugs he used for his election that he can no longer pay? Or simply political opponents?

Miss Vivian Oluomachi Ozodulukwe, the first baby of the year 2003 in Enugu State and current Miss Common Wealth Princess of FGGC Umuahia has touched souls and almost moved some members of the public to tears when she visited the Holy Child motherless babies home located in Enugu, Enugu State to celebrate her birthday and share the joys of the new year with the motherless babies, she explained that she had to sell her Miss Common Wealth pageant costume to make her visit possible.
Earlier, the Rev Sister that received her and her few gifts thanked her on behalf of the children and extolled her deep love and desire to impact on the Society despite her humble background and meagre resources as a mere SS 3 student. In her response, the Common Wealth Princess maintained that her joy would never have been complete without using her little God's given position to impact on the lives of others. She did not however, fail to thank the Enugu State Governor, His Excellency, Gov. Ugwuanyi for the love shown to the Enugu State baby of the year 2019, a gesture she was denied in 2003 because of the then Governor's face off with the Catholic Church.
We wish the Princess a happy reign.

President Muhammadu Buhari has described the killing of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (rtd) as “very sad and unfortunate.”

The President commiserates with the family of the late four-star general, his friends and professional colleagues in the military, and the people and government of Adamawa State.

Noting that the late Badeh, who was also a former Chief of Air Staff, attained professional fulfilment in his over three decades military career, President Buhari regrets that he fell victim to incidence of violent and fatal attacks on the nation’s highways.

PoliticsNGR learnt that the President has directed security agencies to find the killers of the 15th Chief of Defence Staff and bring them to face the full force of the law, while ensuring greater security and safety for all users of the country’s roads.

The President prays that God Almighty comforts all those who mourn Air Chief Marshal Badeh and grant his soul peaceful rest.

*BREAKING* : *Massive* *Jubilation* *In* *APC* , As Ibrahim Babangida Sends Powerful Message To President Buhari-
dailyadvent.

Former Military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, on Saturday evening, set politics aside to shower encomium on President Muhammadu Buhari, on the occasion of his 76th birthday.

Babangida described President Buhari as a role model in a birthday congratulatory message, which he sent to the celebrant.

President Buhari will be 76 years old Monday, December 17, 2018.

Recall, that Babangida had of late become one of the critics of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Federal Government, headed by President Buhari, and had called for a change to a new generation of young political Leaders in the country, in 2019, ostensibly asking Nigerians to vote out President Buhari.

In the congratulatory message which he personally signed, Babangida described President Buhari as “an excellent role model to many young aspiring Politicians, and even to the not so young, because of the way and manner you have managed to sustain the survival of our country as an indivisible one nation, albeit in the face of many daunting diversions.

“You achieved great success in the fight against corruption, terrorism, and other forms of insecurity, in addition to getting our country out of economic recession.”

“It is heartwarming that at 76, in spite of the numerous onerous challenges of leadership, you have managed to remain focused and have shown tremendous energy and vibrancy in running the affairs of state with your acknowledged patriotism and commitment to serve our nation diligently with honesty and sincerity of purpose”, Babangida said.

Referring to himself and those who fought to keep the country together, the former Head of State said: “As we get over our mid-seventies, we can say with all sense of modesty that we should celebrate every birthday anniversary with prayers in order for us to thank Allah for all the blessings and the bounties He showered upon us.

“It is only fair that we pause and reflect in our own different ways on all the life’s challenges we face day by day and the positive strides we have been blessed to attain.”

Babangida said in the letter: “I wish to congratulate you for all the achievements you have recorded in your lifetime and particularly for your humility, deep sense of honesty and faith you have shown in the various aspects of governance, politics and democracy as our President.”

*SELLING* *JIBRIL* *OF* *SUDAN* *THEORY* *TO* *NIGERIANS* : *THE* *HEIGHT* *OF* *HAWKING* *IDIOTIC* *IMBECILITY*

By Michxael Ogueke

I sure didn't want to get involved in this madness, but then, watching & hearing some supposedly educated Nigerians hawk this satanic propaganda like pure water, I just realised that fools multiply only when the wise keep quiet!

Half of PMB's job in the past 3 years has been to clean up our stinking image all around the world so as to restore our dignity as a country & as a people & bring back the trust of the international community. But we keep goofing & destroying every gain he makes with our rabid penchant for pettiness & idiotic bickering!

First, it was telling a shocked world that an accomplished Military General, 2 times Head of State{military & civilian}, an officer gentleman that attended their best military academies & graduated with distinctions both in character & learning has no Senior School Certificate! What shame that gullible hateful twerps has to subject a nation to!

Now, the latest show of shame is a theory of an impostor Jibril from Sudan ruling in Aso Rock in place of a dead elected president. How have we allowed primitive emotions to take preeminence over reason & make us the butt of jokes around the world!
It wasn't enough that we wished him dead but we must pronounce him dead too by all means!

Those who stole us blind & are called to account for their loot, those who jostled & campaigned secretly to replace him then thinking he will die in London, the fraudulent agents of disintegration of our country, & the evil kleptomaniac establishment desperate to come back to power are selling you this satanic theory from the pit of hell & you are buying it wholesale & hawking it retail about like recharge card! What a tragic disgrace you are to your school, community & the human race in general!

How can a whole country ridicule herself & make a mockery of the international secret service community, world acclaimed & renowned media houses & respected men of God?!

The fraud Nnamdi Kanu & his PDP collaborators, now know more than the American CIA, Russian FSB, Israeli MOSSAD, British Scotland Yard etc. They know more than CNN, AlJazzera, BBC, Times, Economists etc.
They know more than the world leaders he has visited in their countries & the ones that has visited him in Nigeria.

They know more than Justin Welby the Archbishop of Canterbury & head of all Anglicans worldwide or Pastor Enoch Adeboye GO of the biggest church in Nigeria, Redeemed Christian Church of God both of whom visited him repeatedly in London when he was sick & confirmed glad tidings to the whole world that his recovery is total & amazing!

In our foolish & blinding hatred, we have forgotten so quickly that a lot of top government officials visited him in London severally during his illness & brought us good progress report on his total recovery. Those who visited the president during this period include, the Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara. Apart from his Media Team, the State Governors, some selected Ministers and the then Acting-President Yemi Osinbajo led the stream of visitors. So now, we shall jettison their testimonies then, or believe that all these people, world religious & political leaders, the world press & the international security community is in a gang up conspiracy against Nigeria?
That will be the height of foolhardiness but that is exactly what the hawkers of this stupid theory is telling the world we are, fools!

Again, how could Jubril have known everybody in the President's home in Kastina, recognize all the political actors in Nigeria, including his ministers and governors?

Proponents of this satanic game should understand that Nigerians are aware & wise people and not fools who will accept such a dubious and diversionary desperation strategy!

For good measure this was verbatim, Mr Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the House of Representatives speech after his visit with NASS leadership to the president in London ~ “Today we visited His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari. I am glad that he is doing well. His health has improved tremendously. I urge all Nigerians to continue to pray and offer thanks to God for answered prayers and for the safe return of Mr President.
We must give thanks to God for this highly welcomed recovery. It is clear that Mr. President’s insistence on following his doctors’ advice has yielded the desired results. Mr. President exhibited remarkable recovery and was very conversant with all the political happenings back at home and across the continent.”

Now, to the children of anger & perdition, working iniquity day & night, hear this, the Almighty God who kept PMB alive, when the desperadoes wanted to snuff him out with poison, will still keep him alive until he completes his mission of ridding our country of the ungodly, conscienceless thieving establishment that has wrecked untold havoc on her! No amount of wicked blackmail from the pit of hell will move him.

And for the irredeemable fools believing stupid pictures, may your condition & body shape during a life threatening illness remain the same without replenishment of flesh & strength when you recover!
May Nigeria Succeed! Amen!
