If you want to speak English, use English accent, and when you want to speak your dialect, by all means use 'eba' accent.
Why do you think he should speak with a white man's accent? Have you seen an English man speak Igbo with Igbo accent before? Have you listened to Indians speak English? What accent do they use?

Indians speak with their own accent, Chinese speak English with their own accent, and so do many others without trying to form the English accent. It is the listener's duty to understand the speaker based on his original accent.

Please let's not try to be inferior while denying our own. Our accent makes us unique as a people.

Does one still need COVID test despite getting vaccination
Hello MadeMan01,

Yes, you need to take the test before and after arrival. Do not forget that you're considered to be fully vaccinated to be eligible to skip the compulsory hotel accommodation if you got your 2nd dosage at least 2 weeks before arrival in Canada.

I agree, I took my first dose ending of April and took the 2nd one last week. My friend took her 1st dose in may and the second last week as well.
Hello elizyous,

Please can you confirm how many weeks interval precisely between your first and second dose?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Emmasonic4me: 4:24pm On Jun 22, 2021
I took the first dose of the vaccine today and the guy there said second dose comes after 8-12 weeks of taking the first dose.

I tried to argue that its 6 weeks but you know that Nigerian thing of "Do you want to teach me my job?" started and I had to end it there.

I know I can take the second dose elsewhere so long as I have my card.

Congratulations to all the PPR recipients ooo!!! I rejoice and celebrate with you guys.

May PPR fall on me too soonest than I expected.

Meanwhile, I've chosen to stop logging into my CIC account every night like a ritual, until I get a mail that I have a message in my account. This choice is for my mental and emotional well being.

Thank you.

Honourables, Can someone pls help respond to this?
Some logical questions that beg for answers are:

Why will this organisation sponsor you? To what end? As in, what do they stand to benefit as their return on investment by spending such huge amount of money on your studies abroad? Or are they a charitable organisation?

Take away all the monies (including tuition and living expenses) for the duration of your programme, what will be left from the 20m in the organisation's account? Will this remainder be sufficient for them to continue to run their business?

If you can answer these and be convinced within you that your responses are apt, then you are good to go. Otherwise, you may need a co-sponsor to share the financial burden.

Last last,...it will end in praise!

Good afternoon, please I am new here and need advice on some things;

1) please most of my funds are in stanbic ibtc bank and they do not make use of Mybankstatement platform, please how can i go about submitting it because i am considering going through the NSE route

2) If funds is being withdrawn after submitting my application from the account that has a bulk amount of my funds, can it affect my application or is there a way it can be tracked by IRCC

3) what are the things that are required in a reference letter from an organisation I no longer work with

Please gurus in the house kindly help out with these questions. Thank you
In response to your query,

1. Stanbic IBTC Bank make use of mybankstatement platform. I personally used it for mine. You can access it via their internet banking platform. When you login, go to service request and chose to send statement. You will have the option to chose send statement to embassy and fill other details as required. Once successful, a pop up shows up for you to download the one page mybankstatement certificate containing ticket ID and password. Alternatively, you can go to any of their branches if you're not signed up on internet banking. Don't forget that the service is relatively new to most of their staff, so they may tell you otherwise but you have to insist you know what you're requesting for.

2. If you send MBS to IRCC, they can only view your transactions up to the time you requested for it to be sent. Any other transaction afterwards will not be seen by them. However, if the manner the funds came looks suspicious that it may be borrowed fund, the VO can request for updated MBS to allay his concerns. You wouldn't want to shoot yourself on the leg if actually the money in the account is yours.

3. Since you're no longer working with them, the wording of the letter will be in the past tense. Basically, an introduction letter for you will state that you were a staff with the organisation between period A to B, it will state the position you occupied and your monthly/yearly salary (gross or net salary). Finally it may want to attest to your personality and request the Canadian embassy to assist you with any help possible towards your study permit application. This is not exhaustive but that's the much I can remember for now.

Hope it helps.

Hello everyone. So I’m the guy that applied from
China but couldn’t pay for the visa application fee because I don’t have a Nigerian card with me, I had to give money to an agent in Nigeria to pay for the visa application fee. Then later I got an email saying there was a charge back on the fee and the agent quickly gave me another receipt and said sorry without explaining what happened. Then 3 weeks later I got a Refusal email with 5 year ban. I was worried and I requested for my notes. And it turned out that this same person canceled the payment again. Hence the denial and ban.

Please my brothers and sisters.
How do I lift off this ban?
Below is my notes !!

Please help
What manner of wickedness is this? Just imagine the kind of mess the greedy and ignorant agent has put you into. I really don't know how you're gonna come out of this. Pursuing this will require hiring an immigration lawyer that knows his onion and will have more financial consequences.

So sorry about this development.

I recently got admitted into a school in Montreal, to my surprise I found out they are in the French speaking region. I would appreciate if there’s anyone here who knows the region thanks. Will advise me how to carry on
@ManlikeB, Congratulations on your admission. Which school in Montreal?

This one you're sounding like you just got to know Montreal is in Québec (a French speaking province), did you apply for the admission yourself or someone helped you apply?

CAQ is no big deal. It requires minimal documentation and you'll have to pay the fees of $ CAD115. Turnaround time to get it is 1 month or less.

By the way, I'll be going to Québec too come September. I'm done with my application and waiting for approval, fingers crossed.

Why don't you do upfront medicals? It will spur them to take a look at your file when the result is updated. You wouldn't want to prolong the waiting period when they send you for medicals and you can't book a closer date.

Pls someone should reply..I’m at the bank
The options available under the heading "embassy" will only ask you to pick a particular country from the list.

To be sure the person understands what you want...ask the person if you will get a certificate or print out containing ticket id and password. If yes, then you're good to go. That's all you will be attaching to your application.

Hello everyone.. I’m at the bank to get the MBS. They are asking which of the Canadian embassy will they send it to? Pls which of the Canadian embassy will they address it to
I'm afraid the person asking you that question doesn't understand what you want. Maybe he or she wants to send hard copy of your statement to the embassy which explains why the question is coming.

Simply selecting Canadian embassy is enough. Which bank are you using? You can get this mybankstatement generated yourself by logging into banking apps or internet banking of most participating banks.

please I asked some questions in the previous thread nobody answered me please I’d appreciate a response from anyone please and thank you . If a bank statement of inflow of 8 million within 6 months would be strong enough and how do I go about my processing after granted admission. And I’m scared to carry on the process without my agent. He’s only secured admission for me. I’m new here please I’d appreciate a response.
Hi,

I want to assume you're a single applicant with no dependents accompanying you to Canada.

You will need to confirm from your admission letter or school website what the tuition fee for one year for your program will be. Also, add $10k CAD for living expenses for a year. ($11k CAD if you're going to Québec). Convert the sum to naira and the answer to your question will become glaring. You may want to add some buffers too to be on a safe side to convince the VO that you will not struggle with your financial responsibilities.

IRCC requires at least 4 months statement. However, if you want to satisfy NSE requirements, you will need to show "mybankstatement" certificate for 1 year transaction on your account.

Before I forget, remember to factor on the costs associated with the study permit application such as application fees, biometrics, medicals, etc.

Finally, as you're thinking of proof of fund, think harder too on how to establish strong home ties.

I hope this helps.

Guy if you like yourself, upload the CAQ immediately and ensure it is acknowledged. They are checking your eligibility this fast because you didn’t submit all the right documents. Screenshots of application for CAQ is not CAQ approval and will never be considered as one. It is clearly stated on the CAQ and CIC website that you need the approval letter to apply for the visa.

Upload your letter immediately!!!!!
Eligibility may be fast because I submitted with NSE requirements. I've done the needful now.

Thanks for your advice make my village people no win ooo...lol

Thanks.

I'm yet to do biometrics and medicals. Also applied with just screenshot evidence of CAQ application. The CAQ approval letter just came and I'm waiting to upload everything after biometrics and medicals next week.

Does this mean eligibility and background checks has started already?

I did mine today,
1 - Face mask (very important, I ended up buying for #500)
2 - Don’t be late (I was late and it was costly)
Two copies of the following document (they must be in colored, except for the appointment letter which is fully black/white):
3 - Data page of passport (Don't forget, it must be colored)
4 - Appointment letter
5 - Biometric instruction letter (print all the 3 pages, *colored)
6 - Physical passport (it will not cost you anything to take it along with you, in-fact it was required today)

*Print everything before you get there because printing is very costly in the vicinity.
By "Physical passport" in item no.6, do you mean Passport photo or International passport?

So I did my upfront medicals on the 19th that's last week Wednesday, on Friday 21st IOM called that the results will be uploaded that day. I have been busy and not able to upload the e-medical form. I tried uploading this night only to see update of medical passed without uploading the form IOM gave me.

I have medicals appointment with IOM on 3rd June at 8am. I've been monitoring the vfs booking platform for biometrics to get appointment for same 3rd June or a day before or after. Getting an excuse to leave work to travel as far as Lagos has been a tricky one.

Do you think I can still achieve doing biometrics same day with medicals?

As the name implies PGWP means Post Graduation work permit, meaning you will get a work permit after graduation, going for a program that is not PGWP eligible means you're going back immediately after your studies, truly what will you be doing in Canada if you don't have the permit to stay there

Second question as I always advise it's usually better to process your study permit first and get approval leaving your wife and family as home ties then processing theirs immediately after your approval, that doesn't mean if you process them together with yours there won't be approval of you can demonstrate ties in other means and strong financial capability to take care of them, People process all together and still get approval but most times it's better to use them as ties
Is it safe to apply for SOWP for spouse and visitor's Visa for child immediately after getting approval for your TRV or one should apply for that after landing?
