Emmasonic4me:So here's the details: Admission: April 26th Application submitted: May 14th Biometrics request: May 15th Upfront medicals: June 3rd Biometrics done: June 4th Medicals passed: June 11th BVL: September 9th PPR: September 9th Documents submitted (in no particular order): 1) The 3 IRCC application forms for TRV, Study permit outside Canada and Family Information. 2) Degree Certificate and Unofficial Transcript 3) Advanced Diploma Certificate and transcript 4) SOP of 2 pages 5) Marriage Certificate 6) My birth certificate and Child's birth certificate showing names of mother and father from NPC. 7) Pictures showing registry wedding, family picture during child's dedication and pictures taken on my child's birthday to "emotionally" demonstrate happy moments for home ties. 8 ) 3 different land documents (deed of assignment) all in my name with only one having survey plan. This is to address economic ties and assets. 9) Current job offer letter, 3 months pay slips, salary increment letter, work ID card, introduction letter from my employer and study leave letter stating I'm eligible to apply for study leave upon getting my study permit approved. 10) Screenshot evidence of applying for CAQ. The CAQ Approval Letter came later and I sent via webform and emails. 11) My passport data page (Virgin passport...lol) 12) Admission letter (LOA) with full funding that covers cost of entire study. 13) 2 MBS from Stanbic IBTC Bank. One for salary account and savings account with very good cash inflows and outflows. 14) IELTS General TRF to expire in November 15) Police Character certificate 16) Resumé which should address study gaps. The story: I started this Canada waka since 2017 targeting PR in Express Entry Category. In the quest to get the target score to max language points for EE, I wrote IELTS 3 times. I missed a particular EE bi-weekly draws by 3 points...very painful I must say. My profile in the EE pool eventually expired and I wrote the 4th IELTS which luckily I now used to satisfy NSE requirements (although that NSE thing na scam). I applied to 3 different schools, U of Ottawa, Simon Fraser and Concordia. Ottawa admitted me without funding but Concordia came late to the rescue with funding. I was not sure if the deed of assignment documents for the lands in my name made any difference but I added them because of what I read from others here. I believe this, the family pictures with wife and child staying back in Nigeria, proof of employment and letters from employer emphasized strong home and economic ties. At some point, I read about a denial for a fully funded applicant and my heart sank for a moment. I did not submit any extra funding letters from my supervisors. I assumed all the details they need are there on the admission letter. However, I carefully mentioned the funding part in my SOP and included email address of my supervisor (hoping any clarification they might need about the funding should be directed to him...I dont need any additional documents request abeg...lol). My admission letter was a conditional offer (the condition was the official transcript I am yet to send) and it gave me concerns when people here were emphasizing unconditional offer letters. I almost lost my mind frequently checking for updates on my application. I was even begging God for a ghost update to be sure my application has not been abandoned and gathering "online dust" already. I never saw any. My eligibility and background check started 2 days after biometrics was done. After medicals was updated to passed on June 11th, all I got was a long silence until today that the eagle landed. BVL and PPR mails dropped 3 minutes apart around 6.23am. Currently, I have deferred my admission to Winter 2022 starting in January but yet to get a new/revised LOA. In summary, everything was a miracle from God. Irrespective of my sinful nature, the Almighty God decided to show me mercy and grace prevailed. I really can't capture all the details but these are the highlights. Finally, God answered my calls and granted me amnesty!!! All Glory and honour be to Him alone. Thank you to all the people contributing positively on this thread. This Nairaland is a goldmine. Special thanks to the brain behind this forum @seun and all the moderators. To all of you expecting the miracle, receive it in Jesus' name. Amen. #ItHasEndedInPraise #GodGrantedMeAmnesty |
Go and tell your yard people ooooo....the eagle has landed!!! All Glory and honour to God Almighty who made this possible. It's PPR guys!!! #May14thApplicant #FullyFunded No NSE request but I included IELTS General result and MBS. I'll be back with the full gist. For now...I'm over the moon. What a feeling!!! |
Teemenzo:Please there is no cause for alarm. Remarking IELTS is not an issue and amount earned from your job doesn't undermine his proof of employment. Payslips, job offer letter, work ID cards, pictures from your workstation or office are notable proof of employment. The only thing to be concerned about is showing the source of your Proof of fund, explaining any lump sum and the fund being unencumbered. |
Teemenzo:I'm trying to figure out the connection between remarking IELTS writing and salary amount being a red flag. Could you please explain? |
ManLikeMace:Emmasonic4me: May 14th | Upfront Medicals: Passed |
Mzrosy:There's nothing to quote. I've gone through your posts and no such trace. All your comments are questions when you needed help. I'm assuming you forgot to post it after typing. Please post your timeline and documents submitted to encourage others. Don't forget to give us landing gist too because the thing dey sweet well well. |
Faithyyyyy:Madam zukwanu ike! Do you mean sharing what you did to address refusal reasons in previous application is now a big deal? If I may ask, did you learn all you claim to know from the womb before you were born? Some persons here have made efforts to correct the impression you have. Instead of accepting it and moving on without saying a word, you're busy putting up more defence and arrogance. Please learn to be humble! |
IRCC, this delay and high BP you people are sharing...there is God ooooo!!! School is resuming September 7th and IRCC has been reviewing eligibility since over 3 months now after passing medicals since June 11th. All I can say at this point is: It is well with my soul. Que sera sera. #May14thApplicant |
Please is there any phone number one can call to get across to IRCC? As a reputable government institution, shouldn't they have a valid phone number to reach them on? Why has nobody mentioned the phone call as an alternative to reach them? They are not responding to webform, will not acknowledge receipt of documents sent via webform and will not respond to enquiries on applications. If you sent too many mails, they will just dash you a generic response. This is becoming frustrating to say the least. I need to call them on phone. May14thApplicant |
And someone sued IRCC for their delay in taking decision on their Permanent Residence Application...lol https://www.cicnews.com/2021/08/canadian-court-rules-ircc-took-too-long-to-process-immigration-application-0818963.html |
tourphland:I used the same website to apply for mine. Paid with the Regular naira Mastercard. Just ensure you change the currency to naira. You should be fine. |
gracedson:Congratulations bro! I'm so happy for you. I'm next in line. Oh Lord, I'm seeing what you're doing here, please do not pass me by. May the Lord be praised now and forever. Amen. |
EmeeNaka:Sorry about the delay brother. No giving up ooo... you know as e dey be. Request for the GCMS notes, analyse and address the VO's concerns and refire. It will surely end in praise. I'm still waiting for IRCC oooo. #May14thApplicant |
Good morning all, This idea of sending 10-15 mails daily to Nairobi office...won't it amount to one constituting nuisance? Do you mean sending the same content to the same address at such frequency will make them take decision on one's application? Can it get the VO angry and influence the decision to be negative like looking for one flimsy excuse? Remember they are humans too. ...I'm just thinking aloud and I don't know if anyone else is thinking the same. #May14thApplicant |
Blavkmaann:This guy you're too funny. I'll be coming to Montreal too, but still waiting for my PPR. Sent you a PM. |
Teemenzo:They didn't send you there to start analysing and assessing their architectural designs ooo. Anyways, if it will make your BP not to go high, then it's a win-win. Very funny though...lol |
Stephblues:Congratulations once again!! May the Lord receive all the praise and glory. Go forth and conquer the land. |
Bushboy009:You don't need a 3rd party to order it for you. Just do it yourself. thegcmsonline.com |
Teeprecious:And they couldn't be proactive to ensure availability even as different variants of the virus are erupting. This unavailability will technically defeat the target of resuming for fall semester fully vaccinated. Thanks for your response though. |
Nigeria received Moderna Vaccine but they gave us AstraZeneca Vaccine as 1st doze. Are the 2 vaccines compatible? What will happen now? I'm really concerned about my safety. |
It's about 48 hours to August 6th and IRCC are just keeping quiet. I don't know the magic they want to do withing this short time. Fall resumption is almost here and one needs time to plan, resign properly from work, sell/dispose some personal effects, book air ticket at reasonable prices, etc. Someone in Canada should help us remind them that we are still waiting. They should not update us with grammar why they couldn't meet up. We need PPR!!! No matter what happens, you know the slogan...it will surely end in praise! #May14thApplicant |
Keren12:You will need to get a recent bank statement as the one you have is already one month old. A bank statement obtained few days to submission of your application will suffice. Meanwhile, why are you not using mybankstatement service? It's considered more legit and less paper work since it's just one page document. Yes, your IELTS general with the band score you stated is accepted. |
frankob:Anyone can do upfront medicals irrespective of the route you take (which in reality doesnt make any difference now). |
stevedestiny:They do. In the event they send you medical request, you're almost certain of Visa approval. However, if they send you for medicals now, chances are that you may not be able to secure an appointment slot at a closer date. Hence, we recommend upfront medicals. |
stevedestiny:If your resumption date is September and you're still waiting for medicals request, then you're wrong. You should quickly book for appointment for upfront medicals. I hope you'll find a free slot this August for medicals. All the same, it will end in praise. #May14thApplicant |
AdoChel:Crashed? Maybe if hackers can get hold of the site and issue everyone with PPR...lol Anyways, I was able to login this morning with my usual Chrome after clearing cookies and caches. |
lawfree638:Seriously, I wonder how he comes up with those programmes as if he was there when they designed them. Kudos to him @lekiboboe. |
Elyasix:Please which 29th June are you talking about? The one that just passed by few days or the one of last year 2020? If it's the later, then you need to take some chill pill and calm down. If it's the former, then state it clearly so you can be advised on what next to do. |
Octavoral:They do not send NSE request to every applicant. However, since you have already applied, you can raise a webform to send the NSE requirements. It does no harm. |
Bhooomie:Exactly one month. A very thunderous CONGRATULATIONS!!! May the land of maple leaf favour you. Amen. |
meemeeibrahim22:You must have been fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before your travel date to enjoy the hotel accommodation waiver. However, you must take the Covid test at least 72 hours before departure and also when you arrive Canada. Needless to say your test result should be negative. |
Akannitommy:Hello Akannitommy, I'll be coming to Concordia University for Fall semester this year. I'm still waiting for my approval. If you don't mind me connecting, I just sent you a PM. |
