Recreating a profile doesn't mean you will automatically get NOI from Ontario. Usually they set their criteria for selecting profiles that will receive EOI. One of such know criterion is a recently created profile. Another might be sending EOI to profiles that fell short of the Express entry ITA cutoff by small margins (this usually makes such recipients to have a hard time deciding whether to accept the NOI or expect a lower cutoff in subsequent draws).

Also note that recently, they invited profiles lower than 400 that can speak French while last year they did bonanza to IT guys maybe because there was a shortfall to be filled in that area.

Exxon Mobil staff and NYSC PPA scenarios are disjointed. The first is a staff under the employment of Mobil and the second is a staff under the employment of federal government. Respectively, both employers pay them.

Is it that you didn't notice I mentioned NYSC or you were too daft to think it's an acronym for some multinational? How could you be oblivious of the fact that some people are not even paid at their PPA during service year? Some of these people have other basic amenities provided for by their PPA including mattresses and other off-record assistances- with value more than the expected stipend. Did you sign any employment letter with your PPA stating your monthly SALARY?

Did I ever mention that the federal government allowance was not paid? Recently, Abia State Polytechnic Staff (people that are on conventional employment by the State) are on strike for unpaid salaries of 11 months. So, they should burn down the polytechnic, abi? The question can go on and on, but I'm pretty sure your low RAM cannot processes them at the pace they come.

I'm a typical Nigerian, no doubt. But again I ask you: Is it your "typical"? Or is it your "Nigeria"?

As to your prayers to the man, may someone else rain curses on your behind too even when truly you're insolvent and couldn't meet up with your financial liabilities.

Go and re-write your IELTS test and focus on your reading. It happened to me when I scored an overall of 6.0 instead of 6.5 or above. I wrote the test again and I made more than 6.5. Although the cost is scary.
N68,000 no ne small money for each test.

Exactly! I remember when I finished NYSC. After the POP, the school proprietor was owing us about 3 months stipend. Some corp members did the unthinkable and were abusive towards the man when he said he couldn't pay then because he was insolvent. However, I kept my cool and advised others to follow suit because obviously the man was struggling as a startup entrepreneur.

Fast-forward to earlier this year, I called him to request for reference letter (by the way, who knew I would ever have need for him). He remembered those days and said he will help me anyway he can and asked me to draft the letter the way I want it and send to him to go through it and adopt on their letter head.

The English is very clear. Or do you want something like... "We regret to inform you that... We wish you well in your future applications"?

They specifically stated you should email them once you have a new score uploaded and also said you should let them know if you want to withdraw your application. This means they are giving you chance to get the seemingly ONLY impediment to your admission.

Quickly give the exam again and hope you get the required score.

That's the problem we have with most Nigerians. They know we won't go further to enquire to clarify our doubts, hence the high chance of the fraud continuing. In situations like this, we just accept it and "leave everything to God" instead of challenging the authenticity of the EOR.

I don't see anything that stops you from getting the steps from Dotcman to contact Australia just to eliminate your doubts.

This is coming after 7months of constant calls for them to get the verification done.

Why don't you go physically to the school and resume work with exams and records dept on a daily basis until it's sorted out. It appears Unical and Uniuyo alumni are scarcely represented here.

Actually it's your examiner who grades you.

Why is the IELTS speaking test recorded? Is it assessed by a different examiner later?

There are several reasons it is recorded:

Security. Recording the test ensure it’s integrity. It prevents possible corruption like offers of bribes.

Evaluation. A significant percentage of interviews will be examined again by another examiner. If there is a big discrepancy between these scores then they may be evaluated by a third examiner.

Contested results. Candidates can pay extra to have their whole test re-evaluated. In this case the speaking test will be examined again

Examiner evaluation and training. Examiners are tested several times a year and the interview is evaluated to see if the score is correct and if the examiner carried out the test in the correct way. It may also be used for training new examiners.

Nice one. In fact, I have reasons to believe it's the examiner that grades you too. During my "second missionary journey", the examiner recognized me and asked why I'm appearing again. I told him its the listening that's messing me up. He said something like... "Okay, I'm sure most of the candidates I examined last month didn't get lower than 7.0. Anyways, I wish you luck in your listening test tomorrow."

What does that suggest?... Your guess is as good as mine.

Is it not logical to think that having someone else listen to the audio to award marks later will be unnecessary and a waste of man hour?

Can we say they are only paid to come and read out the questions to the candidates and be forming fake British accent?

I totally agree with the bolded. We PAID for this IELTS thingy and as such have the right to ask questions about it no matter how trivial. It is their responsibility to recruit and train customer service personnel to respond to such questions

I concur. The same way newbies here would have had the right to ask ANY questions no matter how simple or repeated if someone was paid too. There wouldn't have been any need to constantly refer them to the dreaded page 0.

A healthy competition from MOD IDP will make BC sit up soonest.... Just watch out.

Once you apply for EOR, you cannot use the score for anything until it's completed and you know the outcome.

I have a letter from the immigration. I could post the content to help me get a view of what it means. As I am just illiterate to this myself.

On the misrepresentation, I don't know of that and I will like further Information on that.

In conclusion, I am confused about the situation , that is why I am here for help.

You have not answered the questions I asked in the previous page for clarification.

Meanwhile your result is not bad just that a 7.0 in writing would boost your CRS score. Try and estimate your score too yourself using the crs tool.

By the way, from your questions, it's obvious page 0 needs you badly. Try visit it.

Hello all,
My IELTS written on the 24th of March is out and I. Had 7.5 overall score. Not so impressed but need assistance;

Details are;
Writing - 6.5,
Listening - 9.0,
speaking - 7.0 and
reading - 7.0

I need help on the way forward after this result. I do not have a family member who has permanent residency permit in Canada. Neither do I have a second language nor have I schooled in Canada.

I have previously applied and I submitted my documents but my application was rejected because my score was low. I applied through an agent.

Please what can I do if I do not want to go through an agent again? What's the next step after this IELTS result of 7.5. Thanks in anticipation.

I also hope you didn't give the agent application fee. The 1040CAD I mean.
