However if that's the case, I humbly appeal to the moderator behind this to soft pedal. The lady in question has been very active and contributes positively here thereby enriching the thread. In addition to that, even after getting PPR and landing, she still hanged around to help others. That has not always been the case with so many people that get PPR and disappear (which is understandable because of tight schedule and pressures from work and studies).

Again, the moderator should kindly reconsider his or her position. This is my humble submission.

They failed to update my 1st dose online and the date showing there was the one I recently took for 2nd dose only captured as my 1st. I quickly pointed out to them but the lady was saying some gibberish until I wanted to change it for her oo... They called a superior that did something to correct it and after 24hrs everything is now showing correctly. His excuse was that the person that put my details in the first one didn't synchronize correctly. What a lame excuse!

So, verify yours to be sure. Imagine the embarrassment and financial burden such carelessness from them would have caused me.

You've been expecting PPR and "tapping" blessings from others that got theirs. God turned to your page and gave you PPR, but you failed to announce it, state documents submitted nor share your timelines to encourage others that are waiting...and boom!, you're asking for how to send passport for stamping. It's well oo!

This is Nigeria where law enforcement officer is busy breaking the law and causing nuisance.

A recent CBN update on guidelines for obtaining PTA now allows students with one-way ticket to get PTA.

This update came into effect about a week or 2 weeks ago. A very close friend of mine travelling to UK this week with one-way ticket got hers ($4,000) yesterday from Stanbic IBTC Bank.

If your travel date is within 2 weeks from now, you may want to give it a shot and update us.

Modified: It appears the PTA is issued to students with scholarships for now. We hope this changes soon as more FX becomes readily available.

I have been reading about this 4 weeks before resumption timeline but I just want to know if you have any link from IRCC website I can reference it. A friend of mine experienced same too but you know if we see the source, we can know when they lift it as well. I searched cic website thoroughly today to no avail. But I saw it on 3rd party immigration website. Please share if you have it.

It appears that 4 weeks rule is silent on IRCC website. However, my school mentioned it on one of their International students FAQ page that students can only travel 30 days to their resumption date. So, I want to believe it's one of the Covid-19 readiness plan put in place by the schools and the airlines are communicated too.

The selection is there. Just check well and choose one way. The return date field will disappear.

Though we had the intention of leaving together if approved by December. So that means I will have to leave by next month so as to get my study permit and Sin before applying for him cos everything needed is down already.

Yes you can travel since your classes have resumed be it online or in-person. Remember to have your enrollment letter handy and they may ask you to login to your student portal to confirm you're currently enrolled and taking classes.

Based on the recent policy on ground now, the earliest you're allowed to travel is 4 weeks to your resumption date. You risk not being allowed to board if you travel earlier. Qatar Airways refused to board a friend of mine that is 6 days more than 4 weeks (30 days) from the resumption date. This may change later though.

You don't need to state your reasons for deferral to IRCC. They know they delayed giving you a decision so you couldn't meet up with your resumption. Just inform them you deferred and ask them to update your file with the new LOA.

Meanwhile, look for the summary of notes. That's where the VO will write his observations and the actual reasons for refusal.

It's only possible to delay payment when you choose to pay by bank transfer. However, the booking reservation will be automatically cancelled after 48 hours if payment is not made.

USD official rate I guess... I selected payment mode by bank transfer to their Zenith Bank, called the phone number on the booking reservation and they gave me conversion rate for the day as 414.50.

Hello my people. Longest time. Congratulations to those who have gotten their PPRs and goodluck to those yet to receive theirs.

For those of you coming to study in Calgary, Alberta…. And have gotten your PPRs… feel free to shoot me an email if you need help with looking for accommodation or maybe to check out housing for you. If I’m free on your arrival date, I can probably pick you up from the airport.

Please the email you got is not from IRCC. I've checked the domain name and they are just a corporate entity that offers immigration services. I guess you may have reached out to them before.

They are both ok as long as flight is not transiting through USA. Make sure you book early o. Don't mind the person telling you to wait for passport to be returned. Book way ahead of intended traveling date.

Yes, it is. I want to assume you've done upfront medicals. If yes, expect PPR once you send the updated LOA to them.

Post Covid, no in-person submission is allowed. You will have to send your passport via DHL even if your address is next to VFS office.

Chief, this could have been you announcing your PPR only if you did Upfront medicals.

Anyways, you can try your luck by going to IOM or Qlife physically with your medicals request printout from IRCC and begging them to give you a date so you can meet the deadline. Good luck and congratulations in advance!
