Why are most of South Westerners hypocrites.

You either suppress information on SW failures or avoid them.

To kill the discussion, you derail the thread or open an alternate thread to drive away traffic from existing.

This is how you people intend portraying Fashola as a better Governor than Chime, Akpabio, Okorocha, Obi and Amaechi.

I have come to understand all these tricks and they can no longer sway my conclusion and sense of judgment.

Every thread in Politics section is now all about sectionalism and bashing the so called competitors or emerging power as to suppress their fame and track records.

Please, don't forget to check the link

So what your problem with SW.

Because the moderators are not dancing to your PDP and SS/SE sentiment. You decide to play the victim.

Nigeria needs to go back to Agriculture.
That was our primary source before Oil.

With US shale oils, energy prices will fall.

manny4life: MOST NIGERIAN have been patronizing buying low quality products since the days Nigeria was concieved, there's nothing wrong in it.

It was ONCE a shame... Dude, yall keep shouting fake and substandard, PLEASE

Did you say economic downturn and inflation, from what time to what time? Is Nigerian economy not booming? At least on paper and CBN just reported a single digit inflation, does it mean people aren't buying low quality products? huh huh huh

Bros, leave this argument, let's focus on the thread..
.

Don't quote me If you want these arguments
to end.

We don't need to buy fake and substandard good because the economy was better in the 60s,70s and early 80s.

Inflation rate was down and goods were cheaper.

Did you say the current economy is booming?
Am sure you are not a business man.
Business is very slow.

BluStreak: Well articulated response Manny. Without the ibo's introduction of affordable items, the Yoruba's would have still been living in their grass thatched houses, converging in one politician's house to watch TV etc. The low priced goods has helped a lot of homes live a comfortable life even though the items often times have a short life span.
How many average Nigerians (Yoruba's) can afford a 600VA made in Japan small generator for N75,000? But with N9,500 you can buy a 950VA China generator imported by the Ibo's. Talking about furnitures, in 2002 a glass dining set with 4 chairs sales for average of N180,000. It beats me to hear that 11yrs after, you can get a low priced dining set with 4 chairs for N80,000.

All because of ibo's ingenuity, a lot of us are living better. They saw an opportunity and took it. What is the opportunity? Providing low income earners and the poor among us the opportunity to live a gσσ∂ life and at an affordable rate. This is spread across all areas of our living; from car parts to clothing to perfumes to households etc.

I rest my case. Haters should just stop hating.

NB: I am against the faking of food and drugs. It kills or causes death.
Just shut it, when did we start patronizing sub-standard and used items.

Probably you just came to Lagos, it was once a shame for Yorubas to buy Fake and substandard goods.

But economic downturn and inflation made Nigerians Patronize these goods,no need singling out Yorubas.

thelastPope: We were all ignoring the guys fooolishness, you now went on to complete it! LOL. Its a PPP project with the private guys taking the bigger share of the cost. The onus is on the private guys to deliver on time. For every minute the project is delayed, they are loosing money. They will normally take loans to fund it. These loans have a grace period before interest starts counting. The private guys will have to complete the project on time so they can start making money and paying back their loans. That is the beauty of PPP. This is half way into GEJ's tenure. How can he be making election promises now? Funny how some of you reason, walahi!
Now i see what @garri is saying.

So JB is going to toll that bridge for years.

And thesame PDP is fighting Fashola over lekki road.

texazzpete: The only people who call Sanusi an 'Islamist' are the usual band of intolerant m0r0ns.
This man is one of the most principled men in Government. You may not like his radical ideas, but to use the whole Islamic Banking saga to label him an 'islamist' smacks of hardcore imbecility. Islamic banking was mooted by Soludo, a Christian. Is soludo an 'islamist'? Islamic banking is in practice in the US and the UK...even post 9/11!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Nairaland saying that the issue is an incendiary issue because of the 'negative connotations of the words Islamic'. Yeah right. Isn't that just the same sort of Intolerance we condemn in Boko Haram?

See one dolt here calling Sanusi a 'cattle rearer' meanwhile the man has achieved more than the fellow's entire family has achieved!
Bros, cool down, how dare you compare Christians who don't want Islamic Banking to BOKO-HARAM.

Please tell me what he has achieved has CBN governor.

RomanceRe: Disadvantages Of Late Marriage by emmatok(m): 10:13pm On Feb 20, 2013
tomakint: Anything marriage is tied to the apron of anything African culture, coming to Nigeria, especially Yorubas, Marriage is almost tied to 'being successful in life' when actually it is a grand deception of the deepest dye! I have seen many men who married early and are yet to breakthrough, I have seen many men too who married late and are successful likewise I have seen vice versa, the truth is prepare your hearts (emotionally, physically, financially) very well (be you man or woman) before you choose to settle down with your partner and be ready to challenge whatever situation that comes your way with a brave heart because Marriage is not bed or roses! Nothing like LATE MARRIAGE!
Most you bring tribalism into this.

Elueme: You were probably living in the arctics hen OBasanjo was in power. The Yorubas including Soyinka kept mute in most part of his administration even in the face of misrule, why they were so quick to sell their birthright by backing the man from Ota for a second term in 2011. They became antagonistic after it had become clear that the man from Ota had deceived them into losing their territory to the PDP. I have stayed long enough with the Yorubas to understand their mentality but this time, we all know what each other knows
I see you love spinning facts.

PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by emmatok(m):
Dede1: I usually do not respond to junks written by characters such as Richard Akinjide but since you seek the truth, Akinjide is one reason people hold Yoruba in contempt. However, I shall disappoint you on the issue of Ojukwu’s parentage. Unlike the loudmouthed Richard Akinjide, I do not dwell on people’s mother and father.

A political love peddler and perennial decamper such as Richard Akinjide introduced tribalism in Nigerian academia as Awolowo introduced tribalism in Nigerian polity. When he decamped from NCNC and joined NNDP on the promise of ministerial appointment, his first action on duty as Minister of Education was to appoint a fellow Omo Yoruba and political decamper in Dr Biabiaku(sp) as Vice Chancellor of Unilag and pushing out Prof. Eni Njoku. Folks remember that the things that qualified Dr Biabiaku for a teaching position talk less associate professorship were, 1. omo Yoruba, 2. clipboard carrying member of AG, 3. a fellow political love peddler such as Akinjide and 4. average lecturer at UI not even an associate professor.

I love Yoruba peeps with loudmouth and Akinjide did not disappoint. Ojukwu as a master degree holder from Oxford and son of highly placed Nigerian with friends in high places can not drift for job. Ojukwu was given options and he chose to be administrative officer, a job reserved for Colonial masters. I gathered it was a plan to vacate all the colonial masters from the eastern region to the western and northern regions. He was posted to Udi in Enugu as an assistant district officer (ADO) where he allagedly slapped a Briton who was DO (District Officer). The Briton was transferred to northern region while Ojukwu was transferred to Aba as ADO under Chief Jerome Udorji. My father, who was a district councilor in Asa, informed me that Ojukwu had little issue with Udorji which made Ojukwu to leave Aba for the military.

I am amazed at the manner Yoruba peeps flaunt their collective ignorance in the public. It is laughable that a person in position of Richard Akinjide lacked the knowledge that Ojukwu did not attend British Royal Academy, Sandhurst. Anyway, laziness and loudmouth can be agents of delusion. Since Ojukwu had a master degree from Oxford University for that matter, he was sent to British Royal Academy, MONS, Aldershot just for the military regimentation.
Old Man, you need to give this your wahala some rests.
Abi you want kill yourself.

There is Tribalism/ Rasism / discrimination all over the world.
Except in Igbo land.

HAPPY.
