I have not disputed the main purpose of inter-modal transportation, what I said is in correction to those who keep claiming that Onitsha doesn't have the capacity which I said is highly incorrect. Most of the world's sea channels and canals are "MAN MADE". They were built with serious money that it's economic importance is greater than its cost.

Onitsha, is not close to the Shoreline, so you will have to dredge across most states if you want depth.
