Politics › Re: For Ojukwu, I Wished I Were Born Igbo – By Femi Fani-kayode by emmatok(m): 5:58pm On Mar 09, 2012 |
Onlytruth: I just finished reading through the thread and concluded that some of my brothers (and some Yorubas obviously) misunderstoond my position on this almost completely. I did not want to respond to the Eko-Ile types, so I simply ignored them.
Go back again to my FIRST response on this thread; basically this is what I said:
"You are welcome bro Fani Kayode. You are my brother in Ojukwu."
I never said Kayode is now to be given Igbo vote or political coin. None of that. I choose my word very carefuly. I was only saying (in simple terms) that his words are true, and that (whether he means them or not) his lionizing of Ojukwu as a hero IS WELCOME. Nothing more, nothing less. Anybody who lionizes Ojukwu in public will get my appreciation. It is when he comes for my votes or political capital that I shall sit him down to examine his records.
The funny thing is that it is these people talking about Igbo being too easy to deceive that are actually the easiest ones to deceive. They somehow can't discern true Igbo thoughts on issues just by following our statements; and when we make our moves, they become befuddled, confused and angry, just like when we gave GEJ the unprecedented support. They still don't understand why we did it, and often make the mistake of thinking we voted because he attached "Ebele" to his name. Fact is we really didn't. It is much deeper than that. Just watch, the Nigerian political game is gradually shifting to our corner, and nobody can do anything about it.
BTW I asked a question earlier, which was re-echoed by my brother Sam_Ikenna;
WHAT DID OJUKWU DO WRONG TO ANY YORUBA PERSON TO ATTRACT HATE?
I'm still waiting for the answer. Your(Igbos) hate towards AWOLOWO, made some Yorubas hate Ojukwu. Awo and Ojukkwu were still friends after the civil war.But Igbo propaganda made Awo and Yorubas look bad. |

octavian: At the moment none, over the past 7 years, every season an English team gets to the UCL final, except 2010. Messi should move out of Barcelona to prove himself, Zidane, Rivaldo, Ronaldo de Lima all did, Messi do not need to move out out Barca to prove himself. |

He moved to spain and still competing every season for the best. To clear all doubts,i think what you should ask is this: If Messi were to move out of Barcelona will he be the best or a shadow or himself? How many EPL teams are doing well in the UCL. |

ACM10: Abiola should cover himself with shame in the grave. Mandela spent 25yr in prison. Aung San Su Kyi spent 20yrs in both prison and house arrest. Mikhail Khodorvkosky is in prison at present. All these people are democracy activists. None of them fled abroad in the face of danger. But Abiola could not overcome his Yoruba gene of cowardice. He eventually fled abroad on Aug 4, 1993. I was taught in primary school that kakanfo is the bravest of all yorubas. No wonder yorubaland has not christened another kakanfo 'cause they felt thoroughly embarrassed by the actions of their last one.
Now enjoy your relaxation with the real democracy activist(Mandela) jibe at your fake kakanfo LOL, Trying hard to defend your Ojukwu . Unlike your Ojukwu MKO Abiola to Nigerian in the heat of the struggle for Democracy. Your Ojukwu died abroad. Abiola died in Nigeria, he died a Nigerian. |

Ozichim: Please lets stop this. This two people cannot be compared. Ojukwu took brave step to stop the pogrom against his people. He risked his life for all. Abiola was only struggling to become a Nigeria president and died in it. Please why and how can we compare the two. I see this as an insult to we blacks, they don't seem to have some moral values anylonger. Even up to this point some people cannot see why the two cannot be compared simply because Ojukwu is not a Yoruba. Tell me which wicked fellow will be angry with Ojukwu for deciding to stop the pogrom by himself since the federal government could not stop it.
Some have already said that if they were in Ojukwu's shoe then; they would have done the samething. Some Nigerians are deliberately wicked. You don't see any value on anybody except it benefit you. Abiola cannot be conpared to Ojukwu. Ojukwu lived for the aspiration of his people, Yorubas should tell us wheather Abiola did the same.
Don't use election or politics as a judge because election can be false especially in Nigeria and it is not a true test. Let us know if you don't know that Abiola is corrupt together with Nigeria political leaders. Ojukwu fought for his people(Igbo) and it end . MKO Abiola is the name behind the Nigerian Democracy. Nigeria never believe in elections until JUNE,12 1993 and that was the catalyst for our current Democracy. |

I agree with this. No, In these situation, they are legally married. So it is both parties(husband and wife) child.None of the parties can take any action on that child without the other agreeing to it. Even in divorce child custody and visitation is discoursed. |
