Imagine the fool girl think of marring the Dep-GOVT with wife and children.

I am sure she wanted to use that pregnancy as a bait.

Above all she even wanted to report the man to his wife, thinking madam don't know about the issue.

Politics › Re: Sss Re-arrests Kabir Sokoto by emmatok(m): 3:54pm On Feb 10, 2012
Gbawe:
Very astute post. Help me ask those expressing happiness and praising GEJ's Government what they predicate their thinking on. Ali Konduga (former Boko Haram spokesman) 3 years in jail. Ndume (alleged sponsor) currently on bail and free to do more 'sponsoring'. Terrorism is killing Nigeria (literally) and the best GEJ can come up with is 5 years in jail, or a monetary fine  shocked shocked shocked,  for terrorist and their sponsors. Shall we talk about Zakari Biu? What has happened to the Borno Governor in whose Asokoro lodge Kabiru Sokoto was first arrested? What about Ringim being 'retired' rather than sacked outrightly for the escape of Sokoto that was the apex of his many other failings?

They say they have Boko Haram's most recent Spokesman. Yet what action are we seeing? What difference has this made to the attacks and killings? In serious nations, the capture of the spokesman of a terrorist group would ordinarily become a valuable asset in fighting that group. Instead in Nigeria, because of the collusion you allude to, Abu Qaqa is 'worthless' and we are only getting ridiculous kumbaya information from him.

What will they do with Kabiru Sokoto or gain from him , based on what has happened to others linked to terrorism, for anyone to be jubilating? The absence of severe punishment for those involved with or abetting terrorism shows bright Nigerians what is going on. This compromised Government , because it knows precisely who it is fighting, is not interested in punishing anyone severely or pushing too hard since , more or less, it cannot really go after its fellow "owners of Nigeria" anyway.

While America is assasinating terrorist and instigators of terorism, without any judicial trial whatsoever, Nigeria is granting them bail (Ndume), avoiding them (Borno Governor and many others) or trying them in Court and handing them 3 years jail sentences (Konduga) . People should think about that to discern the difference in atitude and desire to fight a serious menace. Does it not shame those jubilating here and praising our decietful leaders that Umar Farouk Abdulmutalab (to be sentenced on 16 Feb) faces a mandatory life sentence in the USA for attempting to bomb an airline while we handle terrorist and their sponsors with kid gloves on in Nigeria? Is that how those genuinely seeking solutions behave? How will the problem ever be defeated with this lackadaisical approach?  Despite allegedly masterminding the killing of many, we will all probably see Sokoto reveal nothing useful and then be sentenced to 4 years in prison.

People should wake up to see that , for the GEJ Government, this is not really about genuinely battling and destroying 'enemies'. If it were, we would see Konduga, Ndume, Biu, Qaqa, Sheriff, the Borno Governor and others treated very differently as the gravitas of terrorism automatically and naturally demands.  Nigerians should just remain as safe as possible instead of allowing themselves to be cannon fodders in the fight between two decietful groups.
Funny indeed,

US arrested Umar Farouk Abdulmutalab(attempted Suicide) -Life in jail.

Nigeria arrested terrorist(accomplished suicide bombing) - 3-years in jail.

Culture › Re: Why Do Ikwerre Igbos Reject Their Igbo Identity? by emmatok(m): 7:41pm On Feb 09, 2012
aribisala0:
It is important to correct a number of misconceptions ,
1.Historically there is no such thing as "YORUBA" .
Rather there were several ethnic groups that trace their ancestry to Ile-Ife.
2.They all spoke what were essentially different languages with huge variations but some degree of mutual intelligibility. I think Nigerians in general need to open a dictionary and study what the word tribe means .
VERY FEW actually know.
3.To some extent all of this was made possible by the influence of OYO. The word "empire" should make clear that there were different nations which fell under Oyo control and influence but  never at one time were  all of Omo odua under OYO.

If the term Yoruba is to be applied correctly it should apply to Oyo people only and NOT EKITI,AWORI,IJEBU etc.
MANY AMERICANS WILL RESENT IT IF YOU CALL THEM BRITISH TODAY
COLONIALISM AND NIGERIA HAS FORCED MANY PEOPLE TO BECOME "YORUBA" Who would otherwise be known differently. Those who understand this will understand why it is wrong for any OMO ODUA group to insist another is YORUBA a word that has no meaning anyway.

4. To that extent those who say AWORI are NOT yoruba are CORRECT in very much the same way that Ijebu ,Ekiti and others are not Yoruba. Today the term has been bastardized to mean all Omo Odua which is a different concept entirely. The Badagry people are certainly not "Yoruba but claim ODUA ancestry and so this can be interpreted several ways

5,Those who say Lagos is Awori need to be more explicit ;What is Lagos? Lagos State has FIVE DIVISIONS HISTORICALLY and was formed in 1967 from parts of the Western region e.g.Mushin and the old Federal capital territory.

BADAGRY
EPE
IKEJA
IKORODU
LAGOS
of the five EPE and IKORODU are IJEBU ,
BADAGRY  is EGUN  but is mixed with others and
IKEJA division which extends up to Sango in Ogun state is quite mixed ,THAT LEAVES LAGOS DIVISION . There are Awori settlements in Ikorodu e.g Majidun and Epe too but relatively small. On the whole It is wrong to describe Lagos State as AWORI either in terms of indigenous population majority (as a large number of Western REGION IJEBU were added to the NEW LAGOS STATE on creation)or land occupied.

Regarding the Ikwerre issue this has been debated AD NAUSEUM several times. I believe it is clear how the Ikwerre people (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH ETCHE PEOPLE) wish to be identified, others should respect that.
HMM,

1. Abeokuta - Abula Egba=Egbados.
2.Ikorodu - Bariga =Ijebus
3.Ebuta Meta-Iddo-Idumota=Aworis
4.Epe- Aja-Lekki= Ijebus
5.Badagry=Eguns.

To your assertion that the Ijebu, Aworis, Ekiti e.t.c

You are wrong, they are all Yoruba clans, but not all Oduduwa children.

A monster can't be a coward - thank God you've finally accepted that Yoruba people are not COWARDS
Just say you want them to lead the way against the hausa/fulani rather than taunt them, that's a little bit childish

And it doesn't negate the fact that Ibos look like Gorillas and your women have hairy chests and beards grin grin grin

Brief History Why Yorubas Will Always Haunt Ibos in Their Dreams

This is what my Dad told me about how the hatred started, My Dad is a proud Yoruba man that fought in the civil war on the Nigerian side, He fought in the war alongside his childhood friend, who later became Major Gen Leo Ajiborisha, Pops left the Nigerian Army in the 70s for reasons known to me but he still takes pride in fighting to protect the Yoruba Nation from Ibo invasion, The boots and Nigerian army uniform he wore during the war are still intact in his wardrobe in London,

According to him, the Ibo nation will continue to hate the Yoruba tribe - till the next three generations because they know deep inside them, that without the Yorubas fighting on the Nigerian side - there was no way the Hausa/fulani would've defeated them,

You can keep blaming the Yorubas for your biafran war woes because Yorubas youths joined the Nigerian Army after the invasion of Ore, the constant bombing of Lagos, and Ojukwu announcing on Radio Biafra that he would be having breakfast in Yorubaland the next morning or something,

Pops said he joined the army after Awolowo announced on radio that everyone who has got two sons should let one of them volunteer to save the Yoruba nation from Ibo nation - and most Yoruba youths had to do that to save their homeland,

The Biafra war is over, move on, hairy gorillas

Lies,

That attack was't foiled .

The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations of the Division, Lt. Col. Abubakar Edun, in the one-page statement made available to newsmen at about 6.45pm explained that the two suicide bombers simultaneously rammed their separate explosive-laden vehicles through the main gates leading to the formation’s premises, ,

injured soldiers whose uniforms were soaked in blood were reportedly seen being evacuated to undisclosed hospitals. Eyewitnesses’ account also indicated that the impact of the explosion also destroyed a part of the Administrative Building and that window glass pane and doors were shattered. The multiple explosions caused commotion in several parts of the metropolis as residents ran helter-skelter to take refuge from the explosions. Traders at the weekly Kawo market abruptly closed their shops.
