Hello guys. Please I am new in this whole studies process and of course I have read previous pages. Can I still apply for a masters program for this year 2020 session? Also, can I apply direct to any university without legalizing my documents at the MOE?

Regards!
Yes you can still apply

how where u able to send your required document by Ghent university to Belgium embassy
If i may get you right, the documents required by Ghent University, which is listed in the mail sent to you by Ghent Admission officer. You are to get all the documents. For the legalization, the process is to start from MOE, then MOFA and then Belgium embassy, then thereafter you send all together by courier to your school in Belgium (Ghent)

thanks but i did authentication from the ministry of education and and foreign affairs which was an original and photocopy but is not a certified copy from the school what can i do then

,They will not accept it at the Belgium embassy. So you have to go to your school for certify true copy. Take photocopy of your certificate to your school they will sign and stamp certify true copy on it then you can use it at the Belgium embassy. You dont need to go to the MOE once you have been there before

is waec part of the certified copy to be submitted in belgium embassy
The thing here is that, if you are going for masters you dont need to legalize waec but MOE will make it compulsory for you to authenticate it and you can as well do that at MOFA, but no need to legalize it at the Belgium embassy. But if you are going for undergraduate program then you need to do all

has anyone gone about the certifized copy legalization am finding it hard to understand, please can someone lecture me on that
your previous school in Nigeria can issue you certify copy of your degree certificate but not your transcript. For your transcript. It is either you have it yourself or you ask your school to send it to the Belgium embassy for legalization. Mind you, you have to go to MOE & MOAF before legalizing at the Belgium Embassy

Greetings to all the great members of this thread.

Am looking at applying for a Masters admission to few universities in Belgium and I would love to find out from all experience and successful members if the IELTS result is a compulsory factor when applying for admission or can the be waived for international applicants from Nigeria.

Also if it is compulsory, did you guys write the academic IELTS?

my apologies in advance if my question have been previously asked or if it did offend anyone. I would appreciate you kind response.

Thanks
@ xtus, many schools in Belgium will exempt Nigerians graduates from Ielts, but you have to provide a letter from your previous university that English is the medium of instruction

This is what I got from Leuven about the legalising of transcript.... Seems is not the school that will send it directly cause I have to legalise it... Please help me check the attach file..
@ i am not a guru, but i will advice that, if you have a copy of your transcript upload and send it to them, if you dont have access to it let ur school send it to them. They will accept it

All your original documents will be returned, that’s the essence of the photocopy and legalisation... your photocopied legalised document stands as original.. you just have to present both the original and the photocopy..

Then the original will be returned to you..
Thank you so much @ fikki1 & femiadeuyi for your immense contribution to us. May God Almighty grant all that your desires

I would also like to know if the original legalized degree certificate is what we are to submit for visa application. Are they going to return it to us at the end of the application.

Legalized Transcripts are not needed for visa application

please guru's in the house, is the above statement true that " transcript are not needed for visa application"
Travel / Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by emmy4Gold: 7:36am On Nov 01, 2019
@ pweedydaughter it depends on what the school you are applying to request for. If they need official transcript directly from the school then you have to do as requested. Mind you, for visa process you will need to have your transcript so that you can legalize it at MOE, MOFA & @ Belgium Embassy. So my take is that if your intended school did not make it compulsory to send directly from your previous school then it is better to send it to an office/organization in Lagos, so you can get it from them.

Good day my people, how is our day going, please I need clarification on Legalization of documents, I have soft copy of my degree certificate and transcript. Can I print these soft copies and take it for legalization. I hope we are allowed to do that. Or

Will I have to take the printed soft copies to my school for stamping before going for legalization.

Thank you so much my people, I look forward to hearing from the guru's in here and those have passed through this stage.

Good evening e-family, it has been a rain of refusal. My application was refused September 11, I applied on the 8th of August. I have been so unhappy that's why I could not report my case on time. Something is really going wrong, what is the way forward my people.

This simply means proving to the VO that your proposed program will be of benefit in Nigeria, help advance your career technically and most importantly the cost of your proposed study is of a reasonable expense.
Thank you so much sir. May God bless you abundantly

The thing about EMPLOYMENT PROSPECT is that it's a reactive refusal clause which means the VO was not impressed with what you stated which means you need more than just a letter from your employer but rather a detailed explanation of your work industry, the future prospects and most importantly financial benefits in relations to getting employed in Canada and departing after your studies.
Thank you so much Qudkom for your good contribution to my enquiry. Please I need more clarification on the last point you raised " Financial benefits in relations to getting employed in Canada & departing after studies"

I think it's refering to your employment prospects when you graduate. How will your Canadian study improve your chances of getting a better job in Nigeria, especially given the significant financial cost involved?

I say a very big thank you @ mandyknows, nneteb and Mankano for your good input. May God Almighty bless and meet you all at your moments of needs IJN Amen.

It’s not necessary to state that the job would be retained. Just show that you are working no matter how small the salary. You could also volunteer or intern at a firm. There should be evidence of that.
Thank you so much Blema111, in my case the reason is employment prospects".. I submitted my employment letters, ID Card, pay slips. The visa officer raise the point of Employment prospects

Good morning my people, please I would like to know how best to tackle this refusal reason "employment prospects " I know the best way is to get a letter from employee that ones job would be retained, In my case it will be difficult if not impossible to get such a letter. Are there other ways I can tackle this
