@xterra2-I expect that the Governor's protocol staff should be organized. Ideally the Governor should seat next to his ADC/CSO. Why dint they arrange to buy travel tickets with that arrangement in mind? Why embarrass a traveler who validly has a claim to a seat he paid for? As for evidence to sustain a law suit, there's enough of it. I know so! Go on aggrieved traveler, bust that Daniels' a.s.s! |
Good enough the passenger is a lawyer, so I expect he knows what his legal options are. Sad enough the Governor sat there through all this, like a dummy without a word. And the ADC? A bloody policeman who by some fortitude was "selected" to go and "chop" with the Governor saying all that? These are people we pay and clothe with tax payers money! He should go and ask Admiral Arogundade how it feels to molest a member of the public and be slammed with 100 million naira lawsuit! He/the Governor should be hit with a law suit immediately and an example/precedent set with this matter. Next time public office holders would learn to behave. What rubbish! |
cool, used to have this joke back in the days ![]() |

A cop was patrolling at night in a well-known spot for "parking." He saw a couple in a car with the interior light on. He got closer to the car and saw a young man behind the wheel, reading a computer magazine, and a young woman on the rear seat, knitting. Puzzled by this situation, the cop walked to the car and knocked on the window. The young man lowered his window, "Yes, officer?" "What are you doing?" "Well, isn't it obvious? I'm reading a magazine." Pointing toward the young woman, the cop asked, "And her, what is she doing?" The young man shrugged. "I believe she's knitting a pullover." The cop was totally confused. A young couple alone in a car at night, And nothing obscene is happening! "What's your age, young man?" "I'm 22, sir." "And her, what's her age?" The young man looks at his watch and said, "She'll be 18 in 20 minutes." |
From the little I know of the Military, Aliyu Gusau is well regarded in Intelligence circles(right from Gen.Buhari's era as Head of State). Leave politics out of this.Gusau is a crack intelligence officer and Jonathan could not have chosen a better NSA.As for Sarki Muktar, well dont know much of his Intelligence antecedents. Was Military Governor of Kaduna & Katsina states at one time (as Colonel), then headed the DMI perhaps, was Ambassador to Russia before OBJ recalled him as NSA. I'm only worried that Gusau having taken a shot at the presidency once, may be tainted with Polictics but lets see, |

@ poster-Agreed our leaders have failed to "rule" with the fear of God, but leadership ability has nothing to do with ones geopolitical zone. One of the major issue in this country is tribalism. The earlier we put it behind us, the better.I am personally vey detribalised.Dont care who or where the President comes from. |
@ cbase, flexystar & iyeayo, thanx for the encouragement ![]() |
@naijaking:: What a surprise Huh Yar'dua missed the important meeting? He must have been outside drinking kunu with Turai, walking around on his 2 legs, and playing with his grand children. ![]() |
A bit long, but might be worth ur while, After getting all of Pope Benedict’s luggage loaded into the limo (and he doesn't travel light), the driver notices that the Pope is still standing on the curb. "Excuse me, Your Eminence," says the driver, "Would you please take your seat so we can leave?" "Well, to tell you the truth," says the Pope, "they never let me drive at the Vatican, and I'd really like to drive today." "I'm sorry but I cannot let you do that. I'd lose my job! What if something should happen?" protests the driver, wishing he'd never gone to work that morning. "There might be something extra in it for you," says the Pope. Reluctantly, the driver gets in the back as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel. The driver quickly regrets his decision when, after exiting the airport, the Supreme Pontiff floors it, accelerating the limo to 105 mph. "Please slow down, Your Holiness!!!" pleads the worried driver, but the Pope keeps the pedal to the metal until they hear sirens. "Oh, my God, I'm gonna lose my license," moans the driver. The Pope pulls over and rolls down the window as the cop approaches, but the cop takes one look at him, goes back to his motorcycle, and gets on the radio. "I need to talk to the Chief," he says to the dispatcher. The Chief gets on the radio and the cop tells him that he's stopped a limo going a hundred and five. "So bust him," said the Chief. "I don't think we want to do that, he's really important," said the cop. The Chief then asked, "Who ya got there, the Mayor?" Cop: "Bigger" Chief: "Governor?" Cop: "Bigger" "Well, said the Chief, "Who is it?" Cop: "I think it's God!" Chief: "What makes you think it is God?" Cop: "He's got the Pope for a limo driver!" |
Go ahead bro, u can! |

Football is a contact sport agreed, but it seems the Premier league is too physical as opposed to other leagues.Ramsey would surely get over this. |
Here we go again! Labour market don dey over laboured o. |
I expect Lagerback to be firm in his team selection this time around. There should be a massive clear out anyway.the future belongs to the youth.I look forward to a very mobile and fit super eagles. Not these clay footed "chickens" we saw in Angola. |
The problem with these politicians is that they appear to "start off well", but derail along the line.Lets see how this arrangement goes.Seems like GJ would run this Government like a "transitional" one. |
I believe they deserve some form of rehablitation in prison to enable them function better in society when they get out. |

@Toba-The Federal Government does not belong to any tribe. Its not a tribal thing please. |
Something fishy sure is going on there.Too bad they with held the other evidence of payment into a private account. Unless you want to hold your peace, this sort of thing would interest the EFCC & ICPC. |
Nigeria is a soverign state, so Obama is out of order to DEMAND the health status of YarAdua. It is ok, if he demands that Nigerians have a right to know YarAdua's health status. In any case, I can bet the US Intelligence Agencies have a complete dossier on YarAdu'as current health status now, so why pretend to demand for it eh? Beats me, |
Whatever is the cause of the friction between you and ur landlord, please be advised that there is nothing like "one year" quit notice. As a yearly tenant, you are entitled to 6 months notice to quit and the law stipulates the procedure that must be strictly followed for such a notice to be vaild. So the issue is not to just issue "notice to quit".It must follow due process as laid down. Its a pity that some landlords always play God in this country.Pray God gives you the resources to have some development of yours. That way, its bye bye to such nuisances. |
I dont think we should reduce this to Local vs. Foreign Coaches. Ideally, if the NFF had balls, they should have appointed Siasia/Oliseh or any other capable local hand to tinker with the squad.Mind you, the current crop of players I bet you, would always let us down.Time has come to weed out the dead woods there and assemble a much more youthful and very moblie team.Thats what we need.As for Lagerback, I wouldnt criticize him until after the world cup.My attitude is "wait and see" for now.Afterall when Westerhoff came to Nigeria, who was he? what was his pedigree? But he achieved so much, |
cool, used to have this joke back in the days
