WolfOfWalstreet:I was once like you...the first job that came to me as a graduate back then in 2013 was a teaching job of 13k. .I did it for a year and an uncle linked me up in his company with a security job of 35k...I left the teaching job and started working as a security officer...I was into this for 7years until I was redesignated to Account dept as an Accounting officer, with a level 8 grade. So... everything in life is about choice and luck anyways. Pray and continue praying for the best. Trust me, the journey may not be easy. It's not just easy self but keep pushing and hoping for the best....above all never stop praying. Best of luck 🤞 |

I had never vote in my life, neither do I step out of my house on any election day but this time around, am voting. And my vote goes to PETER OBI.... Whether it counts or not... Don't care if he eventually loses, I have satisfied my conscience.. |
SalafRider:I met this friend of mine, Ayo during our school days in one of the schools in ondo state, that was in 2005. Infact, we got along with eachother immediately we met when doing our course registration, since we were admitted into same Accounting dept. Afterwards, we got so closed to a point where we had to share the same room till our final year. So, while in 200l, I was dating a 100l girl, which happened to be the only babe I was dating in school, even though I had one other I was dating in Lagos before I got admission. There was much love between us that almost everyone on campus knew about our relationship. It was just like we were married. I dated this babe till our first semester, 400l before I began to observe some changes about her which I never knew and understood the cause till we finished from school, went for service and all go out different ways. Ay, on the other hand used to be those serious type that would read and study on their own after lectures, spend most times in the library, which made his social life bored, that he only managed to have only one particular girl and their relationship never seems to last. But that never changed the fact that we were good friends who helped eachother in all manners of ways, financially, spiritually, educationally all through our stay in school, and even till present. Now, here is the point....After school, I lost contact with this said girl and she became the past but Ay has been there as my usual friend, even though we base in a different state. We are used to travelling to attend any special occasion of ours. I'm married with kids and he is married too with kids, and life has been fair to us, atleast. But last month, this my ex sent me a request on FB and we got each other's contact, so after so much conversation thereafter, there was a confession and revelation from her about my friend. In a nutshell, Ay told her about the girl I was dating in Lagos, that each time, I say I want to travel to Lagos to go see my parent and fetch some money, it's a lie, that it's my Lagos gf I was missing and going to check upon. Well, which was truely part of the reason I do travel then, as I will always tell my friend about my Lagos gf. That he further told her I never loved her and was playing on her. And this my babe was always comfortable staying and sleeping in our room then even when am away as she is just so fond of our side. Laslas Sha, that my Friend took advantage of her n they bleeped. That it was because of that she gave me and "us" distance, as she couldn't look both of us in the face, that she was ashamed of herself. Lol, A scene of over 15years got fresh in my memory and got me wondered. She asked abt him, that do we still talk? I told her Yes! And she begged me not to tell him, that I should just forget it, since we all are happily married now. Cos she is married too with her own kids. I had to call Ay and ask because, he was and still a good friend to the best of my knowledge. To my surprise, even before I asked him, he already had a hint of what I wanted to ask him, because I first asked him if he remember her(mentioned her name) and he said yes, that did I come across her somewhere, I said yes, that she reveal some things to me, lol. He immediately start begging that it's been long he had wanted to tell me himself and apologized. I told him it's okay....that I genuinely forgive him, just that i was surprise and never believe. Even, If he had deny that she lied against him, I might probably be forced to believe him. So I told him it's cool, that have forgiven him. But the question is, till date, if he has any business in Lagos, he still come to my house to pass the night, even when am on night shift. Is it advisable to still trust him 100%? Note: Aside this stain, Ay is a nice guy and would do anything within his capacity for me as a friend!!! |
Hello pals, I will try as much as possible to make this brief. I met this friend of mine, Ayo during our school days in one of the schools in ondo state, that was in 2005. That is what am presently into...I own a b.sc in Accounting and entered a federal govt job with SSCE, though my salary as a level 4 is attractive... graduates as a level 8 in other parastatals rarely receive such monthly....I have as well been working there for 3 years, yet to upgrade with my b.sc! No recruitment of senior officers ever since. |
HalpyBee:honestly, I know o!! Its just one of those past events I always regret to rem |
Times without number...wow, I can hardly forget these silly past. May God forgive me!! I had numerous experiences of it. Would just pickup one of it and share. Yeah, 2009 to be précised, there is this means of communication through small phones called AFRICHAT. with this, no means of facial identification. Its just mainly sending text msgs and thereafter, exchange numbers. That's all! Once u are able to have d phone number, boom!! You begin phone conversation, often times, "extra cool ".....we talked at length describing how your look is, whether, tall or short, fair, chocolate or dark, your location and all that. Cut story short, I came across this particular girl thru this africhat and based on how she described herself, she should look like Genevieve, Martha Ankomah, or worse ....Simi! I told her my look too and we both fell for each other and was expecting to meet. The day came...I told her I will wait her at a popular filling station at my bustop. Cos we were supposed to go home from there..She was coming from igando, down to Alakuko, that's alagbado area of Lagos. I had this habit of when trying to meet a babe for the first time, my phone will always be only on vibration and I won't be standing at the spot I told her I am. And this is because av encountered similar fuckups b4, and won't want a repeat. While waiting, she called she was on bike riding her down to the filling station, so I positioned myself well, after some few minutes, hmmm....I was surprised at what I saw coming down from bike. I doubted if she was the one, so to confirmed, I crossed to the other side of the road and brought out my already vibrating phone. I could see she was actually the one calling. Jeez, I held my phone and was looking and viewing this girl. She was just a direct opposite of how she described her look. I waited for like 15mins, contemplating on what to do....chai...noo! My frds are home waiting to meet the cute babe have already made mouth on. I thought of meeting her at the filling station to just handover to her the cash I intend spending on her visit as t.fare for her but what excuse would I give for not taking her home. Hsteeew, I felt for her but I can't just take her home and no means of giving her t.fare without linking myself with her. I was forcer to switched off my phone when i could not bear the continuous ringing and I walked off without knowing how she was able to sort herself. |
PhilipReigns:that's just the irony of life or lemme say Nigerians believe on our police. Tell me which organization or department that isn't corrupt in this our country. Well Sha...na dem Sabi!! |
PhilipReigns:Its surprising anyway! TCN is d company's name. Transmission company of Nigeria. Their staffs could be compared to NNPC staffs....they are well paid, if only you could be opportned to get in. Mind you, 6yrs working with them,I still remain as a contract staff...that shows how hard and difficult it is to be a permanent staff. |
VTJN:my brother....In all honesty, it's difficult for someone like me or colleagues to help. We were just fortunate to even get employed back then as a contract staff, not to talk of the real staff. It's hard... recruitment are being done from Abuja. |
Hmmmn....I smiled bitterly reading different pathetic comments! It's just so unfortunate finding oneself in this kind of situation(30 to 50k monthly). It's just more or less like roaming and swimming in poverty for as long as one is earning such peanut, especially in this current situation of the country. I have been working with a particular govt parastal for 6yrs as a contract staff, on a consolidated salary of 35k...am married with a kid o, though my wife got a police job afterward, earning 50k, in a different state, while am here doing mine in Lagos. Even at that, it wasn't that easy coping with life, considering the basic needs expected to meet...before u know it, u begin to see yourself as being stingy to friends and families...that is if you must meet up with your full responsibility as a man...no hanging out to enjoy yourself, let alone having a side chick...for where?? Its just so frustrating! Seriously....buh earlier this year, our salary was increased massively to 135k. So, my dear folks, PATIENCE, PRAYER AND CONTENTMENT is very key!!! It's not easy but let's learn to adapt to whatever situation we find ourselves in...I pray those still struggling with life shall smiles at the end....I feel for us o....cos I experienced it and know how it feels... |
Nigeria, as a country has turn to cinema....imagine!! Just like that. After paying ransom abi? Ok oo... |
Am patiently waiting for d 40k..... |
