i drop the protest i stay for showing the thread.

Some days back i made a post here on how easy it is to design a website and before i could come back to update it i discovered that the post was already deleted for i could not see it in my profile posted items.
I am so disapointed at the moderator or the admin who did that.i was not replying to a post in which case i would be claimed to be insultive in their eyes nor have i abused any1 here u ca check all my post,i just made a post of how one can use free webhosting site to learn drupal b4 buying a domain an unleashhis /her skill on the new domain.and what i get was that the post was deleted.i feel some1 is misusing the power of a social community and am quiting.since the incident i feel bad whenever i come here.
For my friends that i know here i wish to leave totally i leave u in peace.thanx for being there.

Webdesign in nigeria is gaining ground and the earlier you start trainning the better.
I encourage u as i currently do rather than pay big money for what u can learn at home on your own and become a professional and later charge for ur services. Than limiting ur scope to one trainning company.
Resouces needed;
1. laptop or desktop computer connected to the internet plus an email address.
2 skill required;
how to copy,pasting and clicking.
Start designing-there are two methods to design web site, either coding with php from scratch(this method is difficult but u can learn it and code like facebook owner zuckerberg or using open sources content management sites like smf,wordpress or drupal etc(i recommend this method and is what we are going to use).
3.dont buy a domain or host a site yet use free domain extension and free host to perfect the skill before buying those.
4 if is a forum u want to create,google free smf hosting,and options will show up u can use smfnew.com to register the domain extention and to enjoy free hosting were u will practise.the process is like u are openning a yahoo mail.u can also google drupal7 free hosting site,if u want a blog.gardendrupal.com is one of the many site that offer drupal 7 free hosting. create account with them just like u r creating email in the process u have gotten domain extension and free hosting.
5.now log in to either the smf forum for forum design and familiarise yourselve with the admin dash board,is easy dear try it.u can visit simple machine forum.org to read their online manual and go to the forum u created to apply whatever u read there.do the same for the drupal7 website u created by going to drupal.org documentation and practise with ur web site.after doing this for a very longtime and can now design there u then.
6.buy a domain and hosting(learn this on youtube or ask question in nairaland and upload a drupal or smf as the case may b and smash a new website with ur familarity skill to both platform-i will be back to complete it.
7 give N100 to charity if u are going to use this knowledge

I checked your site up and clearly the script is not connecting to the database.

It could be one or all of the following

1. Smartweb has killed the database somehow (I won't be surprised, nothing good has come out of them from the users here)
2. The web designer has killed the configuration file that holds the database connection details (very unlikely)
3. Mysql has crashed on the server you are being hosted on (Again, I won't be surprised).

Really, the problem you have is a very easy fix if only you were not dealing with a ghost webhosting "company".
If you have login details of your cPanel I could look at it for you.

Webhosting should be the most critical decision to make when you want your site online.

Recently i partronise smartweb.com.ng by purchasing both domain name and hosting from their website for 1yr through a nairalander friend who i pay to upload an smf script in portharcourt, after somedays the site starts showing data base error-all means to make either smartweb.com.ng or the friend to fix it is in vain and the website www.gethotinfo.com remain blank till now.

Although the nairaland friend later send smartweb.com.ng a complain ticket and later call me to say i should login to the root folder to do some thing to fix it but am a novice.

This suituation will push me to learn webdesign for i dont like the way and manner am being treated.i wanted to hire some1 for a good forum design but i have been disapointed some people are really rude.newbies just be wise>goodafternoon

1st i love d over 60 feature links because it can keep u spellbound until u click d link u wish
2nd the adsense skyscraper display there even d blind can c them.

How do i get dat front page with/without changing my smfcodes?and also having the hot link as e.g jokes(35).
