Update:
I missed telling the house about the severed exhaust pot/silencer. Funny enough, the sound was or will I say sounded ok to me. But u could hear it roaring but quietly.

I have to straigthen the pipes underneath, get another muffler, net and hanging pipes. Electric welding and all other accessories are costing me close N9k.

I am spending another N2k to fix the leaking power steering hose.

So that is it for now. . . . . when i get back home this evening, i look to getting more pictures
But for now, this is the journey so far.

Here's an update.

We eventually assembled with other owners of the vehicles in the container we shared on saturday morning for off loading.

Was quite an exciting experience. This baby was d last to exit the container.

Closer Assessment showed a clearer picture of the situation of things. D battery was dead,no fuel in tank, exhaust silencer was severed of the manifold apparently as a result of the rear crash.

As was initially suspected, d front impact pushed the front accessories a little closer to the engine and bent so metal enforcement the front bumper reinforcement being one of them. D condenser and radiator was bent. Condense was still good but already disfigured despite being in front but the radiator can't even hold two satchets of water. The fans weren't working as suspected also hence everything about cooling is off. The car however was sound.

It then became a challenge to get the car to my location from Tincan first gate were I off loaded. I didn't want to tow the unit because of the cost(about 18k). So I first bought ten litres of fuel, hired a battery and then got the car running. Added water as much as the radiator can hold. But the engine was gonna heat up above normal. Also the power steering fluid was leaking so steering was stiff at a spot but freer in motion. My journey started. Lucky me, d traffic wasn't much so I kept motion, stopping at intervals to allow it cool.

But at some point it won't cool. The temperature gauge had gotten to the limit. D engine was as expected emitting smoke. So what I did was to stop throttling but allowing the gear to drive it. It was slow and steady but was enough to get me to my location (festac) without any damage.

We continue the next episode tomorrow.

I am thinking of the best way to give the car the. Best look.
So cost not being so much of an issue here, which do you think is better and I need evidences

Normal painting or oven baked?

I am not asking because I don't know the difference, but I seem not to know whether there will be much of a difference
Inspired and others who have baked in Nigeria, your opinions are needed here!

What do you guys think?
What do I need to watch out for to get the best of this unit.

I am cost conscious but not as it compromises quality...........so over to you guys.

Unit has since left Yankee on 23rd March in a Container aboard Grande Gabon Grimaldi Vessel
Feelers say the vessel has since arrived on April 7th and currently under-going customs clearing
