Ok, So how did i find my latest recruit? I didn't have loads of money to sign on the big time players; hence i went the Wenger way (Salvage auction) "Abandoned" but raw talent. . .amongst a couple of others on a limited budget, it had to be a bargain deal. I began the search. . First, it was a RAV4 and then CR-V and then Hyundai But somehow, this one popped up. . . .we bidded and won!! We found her in this condition. . . shinning and immaculate though crashed. No deployed airbags, not likely to have a frame damage, not much work to be done. . . Good deal by any standards We bidded and won!! See it for yourselves. . . judge and ask questions. We will answer. But remember to follow us on the journey home and the eventual repairs. . . .now, that's how we do it here! ![]()

montelik: We have never found it easy at Ewood park and I don't expect that to change. Even with what some would imagine our strongest starting line-up, its possible for us to not exactly dominate.Jamb Question Define and Enumerate Man Utd's starting line up? ![]() |
I won't say nada until i drive past there on Friday If the portion from the Ore toll gate past Ore round about till the boundary with Edo State is ok then i can comfortably agree to this assertion. . . that's about the worst portion on that route |

Common guys, it's not naysaying. Ewood park is always a tough place to go to Again, the race has to get somewhat interesting now. If we go five points clear, that will knock the sail off Citeh Let's give them some hope and then nick it off them |
Call me a naysayer, but i can't see us winning tonight. I just want to be proven wrongly |

Ok, Monsieur Vieira goes again http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17540540 |
This is really sad. One of the few great minds in this country RIP bro. . . but which kind sickness kill this guy? |
AjanleKoko: Are you done with the MSc?Yea, late last year. It was really a fulfilling experience and i hope to make the best use of the knowledge But really, that seems to be the reason for my confusion. I am trying to see how much i can develop myself with the emerging trend in digital marketing I tend to see this as the next step of the marketing practice in Nigeria; it has fully matured in the western world but not so here. The strength and dominance of the traditional media isn't helping matters and the fact that our people a just gradually turning up to the e-life seems to be some sort of hindrance. But i guess that with more innovation and developments in both software and communication devices, the maturity of the new media generation, it won't be too long to see this aspect of marketing dominate. I don't even think if there are WSI consultants in Nigeria, the only guy i used to know seems to have lost the franchise as a result of non-performance but i think that with time, this sector will blow out. The cost effective nature is also very appealing compared to the cost of traditional marketing. For now, i am just getting by with some PR and Advert design jobs i am doing. It doesn't pay as much as i expect; really pittance but hey, i love the exposure and glamour it offers atimes. So far, i have worked on a music TV brand, reality TV brand, currently working on a multi-national pharmaceuticals brand, a courier account and some new media account management. But here's is what's confusing me. Work for me or keep up the job search? I am scared shit on the issues associated with running a business in this country but it seems appealing. I also know i need some touching up experience-wise at least to be able to manage various situations. But also, i lost hope on working or will i say, i felt terrible after a prominent multi-national consulting firm MYSTERIOUSLY withdrew my offer on the day i was meant to resume. I lost morale and confidence for a moment. I even felt there wasn't any need throwing my papers about. But then, it's all about the money and then being sure i am happy waking up every morning to set out for work. But i seem to be ok with being busy. At least it takes away the worries with thinking on which trajectory ones career should take. i just hope i get to sort this out before the middle of this year. And hey, i love my cars, even when i don't make profit, i still seem happy doing them. |
Ok, i have been more of an observer than a follower or poster but not as a result of not wanting to but not having much to share. This thread came up when i was battling with study affairs but now that it's over, i intend to join the talk show. Ok, where do i start? Don't know but a little insight will do. I will also love suggestions or another direction of thoughts Started work just after NYSC in 2007 with a prominent Alumni union in Nigeria. . .was really fun interacting and working with/for them biggies talk of the big guys in the various sectors and i do tell u i have had one form of interaction or the other with them. My job from NYSC has always been between the media, journalism and communications. My job at that point was more of PR, event management and administration. It was fun and required lots of creativity and thinking. But then monotony starts to set in and the desire for more knowledge. Turns out work was going to be the same shitzo year in, year out. But one has got to earn, live and grow. Also the need to have income meet with personal needs set in I needed another job and fast. . . .series of test, interviews; a couple seem forthcoming but not to sure i wanna take them up Turns out a prominent private uni advertises for an M.Sc in my preferred field,. I jumped at it. Exams and admissions interview over, mid 2010 sees me resign and off to grad school for an M.sc in marketing comm . I guess that's one exciting one year and i will always want to do a re. But till now, i am still asking me whether it was wise a decision to resign. . .i guess it was but. . . . . |
AjanleKoko: Generally busy these days, work-wise and personally.Let's just say Eko was not as hectic as this back then. Moreso, work was a little bit without pressure and much less target driven businesses But things have changed today. I am kinda trying to mirror my career in the next fifteen years in the way i am ASSUMING yours has taken. Let me take a guess. . .graduate from Uni, work for 2-3 years, go for M.Sc and then get back to work for a stretch of 15 yrs + or - and then hit an MBA or EMBA whichever is applicable and the start the winding down years. Correct? |
spyder880: ^^^ just some inside info, have done water availability survey for one client. We did the geo-physical survey in the site in Isi Uzo LGA. Also I am based in an area surrounded by about 15 commercial boreholes operating 24hrs. 4 of the boreholes are owned by my pals and coleagues. These boreholes supply most of the water used in Enugu urban. My uncle is doing something in Enugu. . . .. he hates managing water. Lives in the New GRA area of TE. . . .now the contractor has been messing up and doesn't seem to be meeting the agreed quality of water. . . what prospects do u thing that area holds and what do u think it will cost to deliver something of drinkable quality? I thought i should call u, but not until i see what has been done. I am not in Enugu though |
