clairefran: I have a sister who has a 2011 B.A and she intends to do an hospital management course in Canada. Our father will be the sponsor but the available fund is just 4m. I am wondering if he should transfer the sum into my sister's account and write a letter justifying the transfer. I really need advice on how to go about handling the SOA. My sister is 24yrs old. We also want to use our parent's hospital as home tie - like saying she is studying hospital mgt to assist our parents when she comes back. My sister has been teaching since graduation and so cannot justify such sum in her account.Pls advise.
Its beta not to transfer the money,ur dad sud just stand as her sponsor, n get all d required docs. So d hospital (since she will b returning to manage it) n Family will stand as hometie n also its beta she gets more hometies. Goodluck

P.S: Whats ur sis' first degree?

abisolmi: Hi,

that I am not sure of although CIC did use the word "apply", which should mean date you applied. I landed in August and that was the date my study permit carried but TRV was issued in May so i still got the old restriction. Obviously, you get to apply for authorisation immediately but turn around time to receive the authorisation is 3 weeks, thats what i was told. After authorisation, you can then apply for SIN card.
Welcom ma, how was ur journey??

kunle2box: Thanks emperoracro, I am not sure it's the network cos there were no issues with other sites I was visiting. I use google chrome. Though I tried uploading at the time you specified, I will still continue to try. Please isn't there a way of reporting such issues to CIC. Also, I am trying to apply for September entry, I hope it ain't too late.
I mean d netwrk to cic server not ur own ISP. Keep trying, i tink u can check their frequently asked question section and see if dat error code is there, sorry for the delay bro.

We are as guilty for the rot as the leaders (so called) we (s)elect.

We all know there is a problem.

It is certain that someday, people are gonna fix it.

Whether you and I would be a part of the change (tsunami or hurricane) is not so important.

God Bless Nigeria
Bro u ar absolutely right. I am gonna b part of that change either Tsunami ,whirlewind or Hurricane. Hahahhahahahahha

earthgreeners: You wouldn't blame most people.. There is a general perception among the average Nigerian youths that the country has been damaged beyond repair. lol

But I believe there is light after the tunnel

It is most likely that I would also thread the path of the PR and get a life in Canada after my studies.

But I have refused to stop exploring opportunities back home.

In fact, I am in close connection with a committee of friends to start up a business. While I bring in the Canadian experience, they blend it with the Nigerian hustle spirit......

Who knows tomorrow?
Brother, i love dat, i believe there is still chance for Nigeria.
I will love to speak to u personally, i will pm u,hoping for ur reply. Thanks

ManTiger: You've heard about ENABLING ENVIRONMENT right?
Pls wats ur definition of an ENABLING ENVIRONMENT? If its d same meaning i have in mind i.e an environment free of hostilities, financial assistance, linient tax, minimal cost of production etc, den my bro Nigeria is d best place to invest. My reasons are:
1) Cost of labor is very cheap in Nigeria (most labourers earn below $200 in a month), pls which other country as famous as Nigeria can boast of dat
2) Our Tax system here is very flexible, infact majority of Nigerians dont pay tax (Am totally nt in support of this)
3) Its not everywhere in Nigeria dat is having security issues
4) N wen it com to Finances, dia ar several available options one can raise money in Nigeria (Though majority of dis systems are severally mismanaged due to corruption)

Time will nt permit me to continue but i see no reason why we sud run away totally from our country, if we do,who will build it up? Abi una wan tell me say na God build Canada to d level wey e dey today? GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by emperoracro(m): 10:58pm On Jul 27, 2014
I have been following this debate since morning; enlightening n educative,i must confess.
I noticed almost everyone if nt everyone's concern is knowing which gives someone a better chance of getting a gud job upon graduation; University or College? But y do we Nigerians think more of getting Jobs, rather than thinking of ways we can create Jobs, which is exactly wat Nigeria really need at dis crucial moment. I suggest we all go out there, acquire workable knowledge, come back to Nigeria (i dont mean permanently) n build up this our Nation,so as to ensure a properous future for the generations unbone. God bless Nigeria!
