THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM. yet parents use their own hard earned suffered money to by BB for kids, the same BB that will replace their books.
Students are now more versatile in Sex than books.
Have you employed young graduates of late and see how poor background kids excel while spoilt rich kids fumble. i am not against riches (thank God i am well to do too) but we that are making it are spoiling the future of the kids with too much comfort.

well said...but you missed one thing, you dwelt so much on the roles and influnce of parents on the academic performance of their child, what i mean is an individual stuff!...one can chose to be disciplined or not, its a personal virtue.
The problem is that so many of our youth are so addicted to one thing or the other(2go, NL, fb, nimbuz) to the extent that it has reduced their intelligent quotient and drained even the little they may know. I bet you a disciplined person will always stand out in anything he or she is involved!

Exams are written across the country in good time hopefully, sheets are collated
and sent (after due processes are followed) to the computer for immediate marking.
This may have been decentralised but used to be done in just one place for control
purposes.

It takes a split second to mark and score each sheet and the process is such that
results of each candidate is automatically uploaded to a central database matching
each candidate's score to his/her filled information.

Next, results are uploaded to the website for checking.

Note that Saturdays and Sundays are working days for a lot of industries
and persons like those in telecoms, aviation, health, partly education (as
obtainable here), etc.

And as earlier said, it is a process that requires effective planning and
an excellent project management knowledge to be able to effect. More so,
your team must be made up of persons who have good integrity and are ready
to get the job done.

Monitoring and controlling is key here.

naptu2: They did a documentary about this during the 2011 elections. They compared INEC, WAEC and JAMB and showed how inefficient INEC was. WAEC and JAMB are able to distribute exam papers and collate results better than INEC using the same resources (Nigerian Airforce, etc) that INEC uses.

I doubt the marking protocols of JAMB. Imagine a candidate that did not attempt any question in Economics due to time shortage. When the results came out, she checked and behold to her uttermost amazement, she go 48.
Now tell me, what happened in that situation? Or has JAMB started given away free marks or bonuses for not attempting questions? This goes to show that even the computerised system of marking isn't flawless or infalliable.

What you understand shouldn't be too hard or difficult to explain. I have only told you what works and not your tithe by simply telling you how other unbelievers are rich without paying tithe because you said it was your tithe that brought blessings to you. WRONG SIR...JESUS taught tithing, he even paid tithe himself, the following bibles chapters attest to that fact:
LUKE 18 vs 12: '' i fast twice in the week, I EVEN GIVE TITHES OF ALL THAT I POSSESS''(jesus speaking)
LUKE 11 vs 42: ''But woe unto you, pharisees! For ye TITHE mint and rue all manner of herbs, and pass over judgement and the love of God: these ought ye have done, and not to leave the other undone''.
Jesus' teachings on tithing in the above Bible verses. Where do you stand now?

Secondly, if you say the teachings or laws of the old testament no longer hold, why then do we have the 10 commandments of GOD in Exodus chapter 20? Lastly, by the mercy of God i'm allowed to give you a hint about what is currently happening in terms of this situation (Though it's rare) cos heaven does not often give hint to people who are under God's TEST but you're just lucky to get this, here it is;

'God is currently testing you to see what's going to be your response, and your decision would determine how far you would go with God in life and how much he would bless you'

Joe!..GOD bless you, we need more of you on nairaland. I didn't know we have so many robbers here on NL(unfaithful tithers or non-tithers). People are so ingrained in their believe to such an extent that it has beclouded their sense of rightful reasoning.
