Nigerians are not asking for too much:stable power supply, good roads nationwide, and strong public sector participation in supporting indigenous based companies and businesses.

I have always asked myself that question as i have had ideas of several projects that i could initiate and will help a lot of people but i get stuck in my tracks as i do not get funding to run such ideas. I am aware that some big organisations like Unilever, MTN and others support initiatives like these but i want to be exact about what they really support and how one can get such support from them.

There is a brain organ responsible for it of which i unfortunately cannot recall its name. When you see someone yawn, that organ fires up and you mirror what that person does unconsciously...the same thing goes for when watching a movie with other people, the same parts of the brain are fired up.

If i become d president,i would not stay in aso rock,i would live in d same house i did before i got to that seat of power,i would earn a moderate salary just enough to take care of myself and the family,the children will school in upgraded federal schools in the country,i will have my medical checkup in our indigenous hospitals,will chatter between states via an helicopter instead of creating terrible traffic jams,when i worship at church,i will not have to seat at d front with d G.O but with d congregation as being a president doesnt mean that i should be favoured more than others. I will not have a fleet of jets but just one or two will do, i will encourage my fellow leaders of the Nigerian people to cut their salaries and allowances to 25% of what they earn presently...

Waoh,i just finished watching the making of the movie 'Avatar' and i must say i am largely impressed.our Nolloywood film making industry has a lot of lessons to learn as regards film production, shooting, capturing, directing and the likes of such industry. One thing i notice is that the when a movie is produced in Hollywood,the producers give it their best shot and try to rewrite history and have their names written in the sands of time that they did such an epic movie. One day, i believe we will attain such a level of success and even more in Nigeria as the goverment gets awakened to its responsibilities.

Nextweek monday,OAU(Obafemi Awolowo University),Ile Ife will be celebrating her 50th year anniversary with a range of activities. There are banners annoucing the annivesary in several locations on campus,the enviroment is all giddy and ready for action. In the middle of all this,there is one evil though...the power supply has become incessant and more epileptic than ever before. I wonder what is happening...is this how we would be celebrating 50 years?In darkness? The school administration and all other concerned parastatals should please take note.

I am not an adept lover of romance movies, though i do love watching other kinds of movies. Very recently i watched two particular romance movies that teach the same lesson. These two movies are 'not easily broken' and 'the vow' . From these movies i learnt that it takes the problems and upside downs of life to make things become right. There are some problems that won’tjust go out of our lives unless we learn the lessons from them.

Problems have a way of smoothening things up and making them better. They refine our characters and help us form betterperspectives about life. We tend to treat people better, love our family more and become better givers. The usual concept we predominantly have about problems is negative , grave and causes nausea . But when we look at our lives over time, we’ll come to notice the impact these problems have had on the course of our lives.

Poverty for instance helps people to become better managers of money, sickness helps to bring us to our sensesregarding our lifestyle (most especially for people that never give themselves rest and are always inconstant stress, sickness is the signal that they need rest), divorces and breakups are pointers to the fact that one needs to be more caring and should put in more work into the next relationshipand as a final example, death teaches us to value our lives and of those we dearly care about. It’s all just Nature’s way of balancing life….Ying Yang, as the Chinese philosophy puts it.

You wanna change the world, you gotta change yourselves first. You cure yourselves first. You have not even begin to do that. You think by carrying bible all about gives you the qualification to change the world? It doesn't. Christians have been in this world for about 2 millenia and the world is still sinking in chaos. I would like to address some false pronouncments that u made.
First,christians are not sick people curing sick people.we r alive and well,ready to be used by God to do great things in the world.
Secondly,the world is still in chaos because christians have been church focused,unfortunately.but a church shift ia occuring that will change the way xtian see things.
We are already changed people.our minds renewed,so u cant say we are not changed,from changing ourselves,we will change the world.

As Christians we r supposed to change the world and make it better,starting from our neighborhoods.the Boko Haram problem for example should be looked into by the church and a solution should be put into action to deal with it. The goverment can only do so much.

Jenwitemi: Sorry, but these points you put forward are not true. Christianity became a religion when followers were asked to worship and praise a deity in order to gain eternal life that they already possess.

Christians do not already have eternal life before meeting Jesus.Besides we do not need to worship God before we receive eternal life,all we need to do is believe that Jesus Christ came to restore God's kingdom to us.
