I don't know why children like you like to equate beards with money...what has money got to do with having beards?
Having beards is just one of those things people do to look good, same as wearing nice cloths, or working out to look fit and healthy, or the same way you go to the barber shop to get a nice haircut.
It is only senseless Nigerians who are supposed to be minding their business that goes around to criticize people who make an effort to look good.
Ask your self whether someone can't grow beards and have money...

Reasons are:

1, North has 19 states, South has 17. ABU is the most prestigious school in the North. 4 schools (UNILAG, UI, OAU & UNN, even UNIBEN) share that in the South. So while almost all the VIPs of the North attended ABU, these 4 schools share that of the South. In fact, SW schools will be the most hit as 3 of these top 6 first generation schools are concentrated there.

2, ABU is more cosmopolitan than the Southern schools. So you have southern students schooling there. You hardly find northerners in universities in the South. What that means is, a southern product of ABU will also be competing with southern products of southern schools for slots of southern states. So a southern product of ABU can be the minister from Oyo or Imo state!

LOL. I have a friend undergoing her youth service in Benue State now. We were in an argument and she vowed that there's no student in Nigeria currently who never sorted. I told her I've seen my first year's result and I don't have any Carry over course, don't know any lecturer's office as I even hate going to them and I intend maintaining the status quo. Told her about my brother of which I could vouch for, but guess what? She's not so bright as a graduate and that conversation buttressed the fact that she sorted a lot.

I had a graduate boss I used one of my holidays to work for. This one is the worse graduate I've seen. She can't hold a conversation in English for two long, there are common English words you'd have to break down to her in the simplest form, very crude in manners. I had to resign in a Month for an initial two months job agreement. There are environments I can't spend hours in and working with her was one of such.
