Canadians are grossly over taxed and in return receive insufficient services. Taxes are a political tool to keep Canadians struggling and eventually to be come dependent on Government.

I meet him July this year, everything about him is cool. My only worry is his fanatical support for arsenal which I consider the worst club on earth.

He keeps disturbing me of how his club will win the league, but whenever they lose he becomes super depressed and aggressive.

We have talked about this many times and he has sworn to change.
But this night he came back very late and was making so much noise, shouting and yelling
Then I googled scores and saw that his club lost today

I can't take it anymore
He is not the first guy I have dated that loved football. His own is that when his club loss it affects him very bad.

I have even suggested he should stop supporting arsenal but he won't listen.
After this night rubbish he just displayed I'm thinking of calling it quits.

Am I overreacting??

Valid reason to drop him.

Canadians will be paying higher payroll taxes in 2024 because of the mandatory rising Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance contributions.

If you earn $73,200 or more, you’ll be paying an extra $347 in payroll taxes in 2024, for a total tax bill of $5,104.

Your employer will also be forced to fork over $5,524 in the new year.

The federal government is imposing a new tax called “CPP2.” The original CPP taxes your income at 6% up to $68,500. The new CPP2 expands that threshold and taxes additional income at 4% up to $73,200.

The carbon tax increases the price of gasoline, diesel and home heating fuels, which is a big deal in our vast, cold country. The carbon tax also makes groceries more expensive, as it increases costs for the farmers who grow our food and the truckers who deliver it.

The carbon tax will cost the average family up to $911 in 2024 even after the rebates, according to the Parliamentary Budget Officer.

Why are people like you always on the side of making Nigeria seem negative. For your information, this has nothing to do with Nigeria. European countries are tightening their borders due to asylum seekers and foreigners who end up becoming a problem to the country. Also, they are trying to curb situations where foreigners end up messing up their social benefits scheme like CAF.

Why are you desperate to paint Nigeria as what it is not?

Seun Kuti was just talking about this daysa ago like a prophet...exactly the playbook he talked about. In summary..
1. They encourage you to japa to them
2. They remove the benefits their own folks enjoy... UK, Germany
3. You work for less pay and less benefits.
4. You become the new willing slaves and the hope of japa is lost.
5. Generation of suffering is transferred and in few short decades, the childen of japa becomes the children without home (Nigeria)
6. At the same time, the place those children call home will always see them as migrants and not locals.
7. They elect right wing politicians to push these and create different access for different people

His advice...think and let JAPA be a way to make enough but remember Nigeria is your true HOME.

Interesting stuff. Countries are tightening up.

A lot of Nigerian students, especially those on PTDF scholarships are in France

Thank you very much.

Some Nigerians do not even know what is happening. Let them step out and see the number of Nigerians in France.

Many PTDF scholars are opting for France instead of the UK.

Nigerians also come into France as refugees. These ones are a huge strain on the French government.

Many of the girls rescued from prostitution rings end up receiving their benefits.

Nigerians full for France.

Google is your friend. Compare the stats of Nigerians in those countries and those in the USA, UK and Canada. There's a reason those three countries are very popular in Nigeria.

You stay in Nigeria reading stuff oof Google. Not going to give you a true picture of Nigerians in France.

Have you been to France?

You only know the USA, UK and Canada. Other countries exist apart from those ones you know. Nigerians also go elsewhere.

Abeg komot Naija for that headline.

Nigérians rarely go to France for studies and hustle.

Nigérians prefer visiting anglophone countries where we don't face language barriers.

That's why we are obsessed with America, Canada, UK and Australia.

That law will affect francophone African countries that see France as their earthly heaven.

How would you know if Nigerians go to France when you have never been to France?

Come to Caen, Paris, Tours, Lyon, Grenoble, etc. Also, more Nigerian students are coming to study in France.

Try booking to renew your passport at the Nigerian embassy Paris and check out the wait times.

It is crazy.

bro it's not only Nigerian students it affects all students and all nationalities

The title does say "Nigerian students, others".
You did not read that?

Where does it say "only Nigerian students"?

Not all countries are affected the same way. For example, Francophone countries like Senegal have some preferential treatment.

Algeria had a special arrangement.

Nigeria is bottom on the list because it is not Francophone, it is on France's red list for human trafficking and prostitution, organised crime and benefits fraud.

Nigeria has also recently received similar treatment in the UK and so it is correct to highlight Nigeria in the title.

The French parliament has passed legislation toughening France's immigration policy.

The amended bill was backed by both President Emmanuel Macron's centrist Renaissance party and Marine Le Pen's far-right National Rally (RN).
The vote divided Mr Macron's party, and Health Minister Aurélien Rousseau resigned in protest.
Leaders of a third of French regions said they would not comply with certain measures in the law.
A previous draft was rejected by parliament last week when the National Rally as well as the left voted against. In response, the government redrafted the bill, making some of its provisions tougher.
The new legislation makes it more difficult for migrants to bring family members to France and delays their access to welfare benefits.
It also bans detaining minors in detention centres.
A controversial provision discriminates between citizens and migrants, even those living in the country legally, in determining eligibility for benefits.
The tougher version appealed to right-wing parties, who backed it on Monday.
Ms Le Pen welcomed the amended bill, calling it an "ideological victory" for the far-right.
"This is our bill," said Eric Ciotti, the leader of the right-wing Republican party. He called it "firm and courageous".

But left-wingers said Mr Macron was enabling the far-right. "History will remember those who betrayed their convictions," Socialist party leader Olivier Faure said.
32 of France's 101 departments, including Paris, said they would refuse to implement the provisions of the law on benefits for non-citizens.
The French vote came hours before an EU agreement to reform the asylum system across the bloc's 27 member states.
The new pact, agreed by EU governments and European Parliament members, includes creating border detention centres and enabling the quicker deportation of rejected asylum seekers.
Hailed as a landmark agreement by Parliament President Roberta Metsola, the new system allows asylum seekers to be relocated from southern member states, which have the highest numbers of arrivals, to other countries.
It still has to be formally approved by the Parliament and member states.
The new French legislation exposed divisions within the governing alliance. 27 MPs voted against while 32 abstained - almost a quarter of pro-Macron MPs.
Health Minister Aurélien Rousseau, who was a member of the Communist party in his youth, stepped down in protest at the immigration law.
"Some measures in the bill make me very uncomfortable," said Yaël Braun-Pivet, the president of the lower house of parliament and a member of Mr Macron's party.
The bill would have passed if Ms Le Pen's party had abstained, though not if it had voted against. The government pointed to the size of its majority to argue that it did not depend on National Rally votes.
Speaking after the vote, the prime minister accepted some measures in the law might not be constitutional.
"We will ask the Constitutional Council," she told French radio, referring to a top court which upholds the constitution's principles.
Human rights groups denounced the new reform as the most regressive immigration law for decades.
Mr Macron's party lost its majority in parliament in elections in June 2022. Since then, the government has frequently found itself unable to win votes in parliament.

Family / Re: Parents With Sickle Cell Kids How Do You Cope? by Enculer2: 4:02am On Dec 01, 2023
Yemike:
I need people with experience on how to manage SS Crisis.
Both my parent are AS and we the kids are 5. I'm the first child and I'm lucky to be AA, the 2nd born AS, 3rd, 4th, 5th - SS.
I have 3 SS siblings and right now most of their responsibility and wellbeing is on me as the first born cuz my P-man is old already.
Just last week I have to rush down to my brother's school to bring him home cuz he called me in the middle of the night weeping cuz the pain is just too much and his roommate isn't around.
My question now is how can it be managed? cuz it's really affecting everybody cuz It's affecting their studies, I'm exhausted right now cuz anytime it happens it's ends with me borrowing funds to send to them and lastly it's sucks happiness out of the atmosphere as hearing a teenager weeping and knowing you can't do anything about it is saddening.

I've seen some people asking if they as AS can also marry AS please and please don't try it as you'll just be bringing innocent kids here just to suffer. The trauma of you seeing your kids in pain sef no be here.

How can SS Crisis be avoided/managed?

I'd have loved my write up to be well detailed but the little I wrote up there took up to an hour cuz my phone is bad.

You experience and advice will be well appreciated. Thanks.

Its is only in Nigeria I hear of this.
