That's an air france flight that just left lagos. Didn't take Niger. Reliable airlines like AF have likely worked this into their schedules already so that they don't experience.

Interesting info.

There are many sovereign countries with population of less than 200,000 people; less than half the population of Jos or Markudi.

If a referenfum is held today, Plateau and Benue will still vote to stay with the North.

Plateau people are cowards.

In a referendum they will vote to remain in Nigeria.

If there was a war they would still support Hausa Fulani as they did in the past to support genocide against Igbos.

As you prepare for your TEF, please try to learn French to the best of your capacity.

You do not know where you would utilise it in the end.

Do not learn it just for the exams....

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Enculer2: 6:53pm On Jan 23
Today, we announced that the Government of Canada will set an intake cap on international student permit applications to stabilize growth, for a period of two years. Details: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2024/01/canada-to-stabilize-growth-and-decrease-number-of-new-international-student-permits-issued-to-approximately-360000-for-2024.html

For 2024, the cap is expected to result in approximately 360,000 approved study permits, a decrease of 35% from 2023. Study permit renewals will not be impacted. Those pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees, and elementary and secondary education are not included in the cap. Current study permit holders will not be affected.

To implement the cap, as of January 22, 2024, every study permit application submitted to IRCC will also require an attestation letter from a province or territory. Provinces and territories are expected to establish a process for issuing attestation letters to students by no later than March 31, 2024.

In order to better align the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program, we are changing the eligibility criteria:
• Starting September 1, 2024, international students who begin a study program that is part of a curriculum licensing arrangement will no longer be eligible for a postgraduation work permit upon graduation.
• Graduates of master’s and other short graduate-level programs will soon be eligible to apply for a 3-year work permit.

In the weeks ahead, open work permits will only be available to spouses of international students in master's and doctoral programs. The spouses of international students in other levels of study, including undergraduate and college programs, will no longer be eligible.

thank you so much. I've already embarked on the LinkedIn route. as far as interest goes the Project Management path is really of interest to me but really it's the money trail I'm following. if I may ask, why did you leave the IT certifications life behind grin

I have an engineering background and developed interest in programming. First job out of uni was in IT.

I had good IT certifications and IT job but determined that I was better at engineering management.

I felt more efficient and fulfilled with engineering management.

Let me use football analogy. Let's just say I am a better manager than I was a football player.

The experience and discipline from programming, studying for and passing certifications and grinding is still helping me today though.

Finally, Project Management is a very strong asset in Canada. Please get it ASAP.

Hit me if you need free resources and tips.

Hello Everyone.

Please I have a couple of questions. I am a lawyer here in Nigeria, about 4 years post-call call but I have never practiced law. My experience has mainly been in sales and business development for about 3 years now.

I got ITA last year and I'm hopeful to land this year with the intention to live in Calgary so I've been seriously thinking about the best career path to follow in Canada and to start planning ahead now.

I have I.T. certifications as a Scrum Master and as a Product Owner (PSM and PSPO) and I also plan to sit for the Agile Project Management and Business Analysis certifications before I travel so I can pursue a career in I.T. as a Project Manager/Business Analyst in Canada.

Recently, someone advised me to not sit for too many certifications so that I am not overqualified for entry to mid level jobs since I don't have a lot of experience in the field.

There is also the option of studying and sitting for the bar exams in Canada and pursuing a law career as it seems that everybody is trying to become a Project Manager nowadays and the competition for those roles is really high so pursuing a different career path may not be a bad idea.

I really just want to know if it's a good plan to work with and if there are opportunities for young professionals like me or the possibility of getting a decent job, especially in Calgary in I.T or even any industry generally, or if there are better options to consider as far as building a career is concerned. Your input will be appreciated

You have got plenty and time ahead of you. It all depends on what you plan to do. What do you like? The options are endless.

There are any employment services open to PR holders and upu can start to benefit before you arrive.

Start by connecting with people on LinkedIn.

I have gone through that IT certifications path in my former life. It never stops.

What ever you do, try to have that additional career which you have already.

All I can say is that with your law background, you shall chop and chop.
