Autos / Re: Which Car Will Be Best For My Crippled Aunty? by Enculer2: 12:44am On Sep 10, 2023
Badgers14:

The best for her would be a van like a sienna or Odyssey because the van or which ever car she chose to drive will need modifications..

You want to give the mechanics some space to install/modify what they need to be modified.

There's somepeople that drives with their scooter in the driver seat (that is using their scooter as a drivers seat).

There's a company in the U.S that does that wheel chair accessible van/ cars, I think it's called BraunAbility.

You can check out the company and see what they do, that might give you some ideas also.

I will post the link to the company if I find it.

Modified ** link is below

Good afternoon everyone,

Please can a couple (without kids) survive in Canada on 10m for atleast 6month?

School fee for 1 year (outside the 10m) will be fully paid.

Flight ticket will not be from the 10m

Thanks.

Canada is large. You have to specify where. Toronto? Elsewhere in Ontario, Alberta? Not the same cost.

If you are staying in Ontario, I think you will struggle.

Please do a thorough research before you move

It was penalty shootout.

Thank you so much for the motivation and advice.
Moved to the uk just two years ago and I’m a bit familiar with the challenges faced when relocating to a totally new country, as you pointed out.
I was second thinking continuing with French because I thought by the time I would be fluent enough to pass the exams I would be closer to getting ILR here in UK.
However, I would continue to give it my best, because Canada still seems like the better option to me, and french is looking like the only way.

You have gotta be strategic in your planning. How long do you have before your get ILR? You can consider doing both.

Start the journey for Canada and also work towards ILR. I did something similar and I got EU passport and also PR. Travelling with EU passport + PR card is stronger than travelling with a Nigerian passport + PR card as I have witnessed. Plus it is always good to have a back up plan whilst you can. You have a 2-year head start, ride on!

Depending on your age, there is absolutely no rush. These 3 things should be your priority:

1. Learn French
2. Process PR
3. Process UK passport

In between, learn a lot about Canada, learn about the job market, life in Canada, learn French. Get your UK drivers licence (you can exchange for a Canadian G drivers licence easily). Work on Canadian friends and family that can tidy up an address you can call a second home. Start preparing links with financial insitutions in Canada. Join facebook groups of the cities you plan to live in Canada. Also get all the certificates that are needed in Canada for your job. Network on LinkedIn. You will be surprised what you can get from years worth of networking.

I see many people fail to do strategic planning for Canada. UK is a good buffer to plan before moving to Canada.

In the end, it is your call. There is so much you can do in parallel with getting your French certifications. If your French is solid, there will be more options for you and your family.

All the best whatever you decide.

This is one of the reasons black nations need to build countries other races respect. This is one of the reasons we always warn you guys to vote wisely. 1. What exactly is the rubbish? Did you have the same status as his in the medical field? One who wraps the dead is also in the medical field.

2. Only today you have a plan? Before he left he had a plan and had achieved his goal in the medical field. You don't know if you will achieve your goal.

3. Only a fool will see this as discouragement and not learn from what he said.

4. Many do ignore such people ... focus on their plans ... and when they arrive only to find out that their plans cannot be carried out.... people who don't look before they leap.

@ topic ... he made some very good points that most do not expect .... these developed societies are regimented .... programmed ... you must begin work at 8 a.m ... no excuses..... you must take a 10 minute break at 9 a.m .... do whatever you want... but must be back at work 9:10 .... then lunch .... 12:00 to 12:40 ... no excuses.

Today I have a clear plan to achieve my goals . Pls all those of those who have been deported and banned from entering foreign countries or those who can't afford to travel should please stop disturbing people!!.

Leave them alone , you are all like the OP are bitter and angry and want to hold others back!!

The energy you use to source these stories why not use it to source stories of people like me and my friends who are doing very well abroad

Fellow Nigerians ignore these people and focus on your plans

Thank you. Nigerians always follow the crowd. If someone fails it does not mean every it her person must fail.

Hello house,

I need advice as I have almost gotten to the point of giving up on this Canadian PR.
I and my husband are in the pool with me as the main applicant. We currently have a score of 472. But it seems like they won’t be calling that any time soon at this rate. I have tried to look into most PNP routes but we don’t fit into any as I don’t have any family in Canada, I don’t have tech experience either.

Is there anything I am over looking ?
Is there another route we can consider for PR ?
Please I need advice. My NOC is Administrative Assistant.
I have considered learning French but I think it would take me too long as I am overwhelmed with al lot of other activities at the moment.

Sometimes you need speak to people who have gone the route before you. I do not know the other activities you have in parallel but if you spoke with a friend or family who has applied for PR and lived in your country they can help prioritise these things and advise you accordingly.

All I can say is if you start something, go for it. 472 now might be worth more or less tomorrow. No one knows.

I love to see ladies take lead in this PR adventure. I am really delighted when I see ladies work as main applicant. Ladies also usually have a very determined spirit when they set out to do something. So please keep the fire burning. Learn French if necessary and keep moving.

I taught my wife French to help her with French exams and so it means that anyone out there who is determined can do it as well.

You need to understand that getting PR is not just the end result (What am I gonna get from it?). It is also about the person you would become at the end. The challenges you overcome along the way will make you a better person able to tackle challenges.

All the best!

I will consider your last statement the most. Those overwhelming things, are they more import than your quest to experience Canada? With determination and proper planning I believe you can achieve something for yourself and your family. There are many things you may have to give up temporarily to achieve that.

Your response is perfect.

With what I see in the United Kingdom anytime I go there, I do not wish my enemy to go and live there.

Reason I chose Canada over going back to the UK. I even prefer staying in France over the UK.

I lived in the UK before brexit. Post-brexit, living standards of France were higher than that of the UK and the cost of living in France lower than that of the UK.

French colleagues don't even want to go to the UK unless you pay them like crazy money.

UK is toast. People with no prior experience get excited about the place but damn the country has lost its glory!

Hello, please can someone respond to this I beg? When putting in application for express entry, when is one required to show proof of funds? Is it among the first documents that u will submit when u apply? I know Wes, IELTS, filling application form, maybe reference from workplace, work experience and some few other stuff will be d first application, I don't know much. But where my worry is is the POF, Or do you show it after you have been given ITA? I really want to know when the whole proof of funds stuff comes in and how long it will need to stay in ones account too. Also is 37 years as main applicant too old for express entry?

Chances dwindle as you get older but you are by no means out of it.

I will advise that you smash your English tests, your spouse needs to smash theirs as well. Then do French if you can.

I smashed my English tests, my spouse did not do well in her English test but I did not do badly in my French tests.

I was older than you when I started the process and got EE okay. If I was under 30, my final scores would have been wicked.

All the best.

As per proof of funds, I had it in my account from the time I declared it to when I soft landed Canada.

Thank you for your response.. ahh Wetin be this?! God Abeg oo! How long did all this take pls?

So like I said, in my case I was pursuing 2 things at the same time. The Canadian PR and citizenship with a European country.

For the Canadian PR, I do not think I had to legalise the report at the Nigerian embassy. I did do this for the citizenship application.

So it is not too bad.

Hello everyone..
Pls has anyone applied for PCC from diaspora? Have you gotten it and was there a need for biometrics?

If I remember correctly, biometrics were taken at the Nigerian embassy. The embassy staff will give you a package to be sent to Nigeria. The police report will then be produced and certified by the foreign ministry.

This legalised police certificate then gets sent back to the country you are and the Nigerian embassy will legalise the police certificate.

These guys are lowest scums of the earth. It costs so much to legalise the document.

Disclaimer: I used mine for citizenship application. That is the reason why they needed it legalised.

I think for Canada application, you do not need legalisation by the embassy.

How did you guys get your first car in Canada? How did you bring your insurance as low as possible.

With G licence, 2 options.

1)Brand new car - Insurance quotes appear high.
2)Used car - Insurance quotes are lower but how do you get reliable cars? From dealers (Honda, Toyota?)

Exploring all options.

Hello everyone.
My husband and I are expecting our baby soon and I want to have the baby in Canada, I recently got my Canadian PR visa and want to take advantage of that.
I currently live in Europe and I plan to come into Canada before mid November. My plan is to do a soft landing, have my baby and go back to take care of myself and child before permanently relocating as a PR to Canada.

I have no one in Canada and will be landing for this purpose during winter, I need an accommodation in Alberta for a period of two months. Anyone in Alberta with an extra room in their house available for short term rent will be an ideal plan for me.
I want to be around people as much as I can. I am also open to joining Alberta group for this purpose pls.
I want to settle the accommodation as soon as I can.
I am open to other provinces as well.

Send me a PM. I do not stay in Alberta but Insha Allah, there will be leads to a solution.

I went through your past posts on NL to know your kind of personality because I know a female friend willing to sublet her room, you claimed you are an introvert, and you enjoy your private space and don't like sharing your space while you loose energy having people around you.

Now that you are pregnant and you need help with accommodation and help from people, you still came here to claim you want people around you.

You want people around you now as maid shey?

Personally, people like you don't deserved to be helped.

Your response is typical. You have very little and probably are inconsequential in the scheme of things but are putting up a show like someone who has what it takes to help.

If you cannot help the pregnant lady, steer clear. I am repulsed to think that dark-hearted people like you are in Canada. You clearly do not have the Canadian spirit and are a toxic addition to Canada. People like you dilute the good spirit of Canada. Imagine Canada having someone like you as a New Citizen.

Irrespective of what the person has posted in the past, your post shows that you are a low quality person filled with hate.

It is attitudes like these that will keep the asians firmly ahead of Africans in Canada. No spirit of fraternity.
