Done sir

Replieed you.

This thread is supposed to be aimed at TEF Canada students. I feel it is extremely dry. Are people studying on their own? Do they know what to study? Where are the discussions on exam questions, exam tips, questions asked recently? I understand that people get banned when they type in French but surely people should be exchanging more on here.

It should not just be about French schools and French teachers. That's 60% of what I see on here. The TEF Canada Facebook page is a good one but this page should provide a good supplement to that one.

A candidate can take action to produce a document containing a bank of all TEF questions and answers for instance. This info can be shared with candidates intending to write their exam soon.

There are loads of potentials for the thread. Sadly untapped.

Are you not one of the people that will become one of leaders in the future, if God wishes?
What are you doing differently? Aren’t you using every opportunity to attack even when the intention is good?

Are you even laden with wisdom to understand that Nigeria of today is a reflection of the over 25 years of past failures to understand that it will take a serious amendment coupled with untoward hardship to reposition it.

You are talking about subsidy right? We need subsidy in Nigeria but def not on that scam of fuel. Have you ever sat down to think of a better way to channel subsidy and come up with a word of advice for that?. But instead what do you do? To come on every post like a rattle snake and spew rubbish as usual. To be an attack dog even when the intention is good.
The case is a case of someone who abuses his father 2/7 calling him names and yet expects him to pay his school fees.
If you become a leader today what would you do differently? Would hate not consume your wisdom? The hate that you have nursed unconsciously overtime

For good leadership there must be a virile follower ship. High time people like yu stopped crying like bush Babies and embrace change.

Government will never satisfy everyone. There must always be scarcity of resources.

What a dumb slave you are

Thank you so much. Very detailed and very encouraging. I just updated my scores. Step by step like you said. I have gotten the much needed advice from those on ground, as for my other questions I will take to the main EE thread.
God bless you.

I thought I should share some experience if it will help you or others as per "la Francophonie".

We received the newcomers help with settling to life in Canada and in addition, received special services through a link provided by the French school our kids attend. So the list services are similar to the ones provided by ACCESS, YMCA, etc., only this time it is mainly aimed at Francophones and it is quite detailed if I am honest. So in effect, you will be getting double support like we did.

With regards to school, our kids attend a French catholic school. It is a nice French community. Your kids can also start with a French immersion school and navigate to an all French school in future. We found registering the kids for French schools extra easy as they want to take care of the Francophones. Plenty of support for francophones.

With respect to jobs, I can categorically tell you that there are jobs in Ontario that require bilingual people.

Ontario is expensive, granted but as a bilingual, you want to be either in Quebec or Ontario. Opportunities abound. Just ask.

Cheers

Firstly if the application is legit

The application no should start with W123456 something
If student visa, application no will start with S
Visit visa, application no start with V.

The email am seeing is not even legit.

Reason why I'm asking to know if the person has went for biometric enrollment

"Has gone", not "has went".

It is very difficult not to profile some countries. If I say everything I have seen Nigerians do people on here will think I am being too hard on Nigerians.

I have seen it in the UK and France and I see many of such people heading for Canada.

It is hard to separate Nigerians from scam. The attitude is terrible.

I mentor students from different parts of the word and the ones from Nigeria are the worst. Poor attitude, poor commitment and want to get things on the cheap.

Dealing with Nigerians is always a let down.

I still like Ontario despite the higher cost of living

Nice.

How about access to international flights? How easy have you found world travel from Alberta when compared to Ontario?

How about your line of work? Do you feel you have got more options in Alberta?

In the end, it is all about your targets. You have experienced Ontario and so you would be in a perfect position to make the call.

Many folks here capitalise on the safety that anonymity brings and spew insults on persons they will bathe with address of respect should they meet in person.

A man asked what he should do over the disrespect of his 37 year-old son in marrying without his consent. Very rude behaviour you will find in the way many responded to his enquiry. I bet their legs will buckle, and their lips will seem heavy like 30-feet container if asked to repeat what they have said here to him in person.

One of them managed to bring religion into the matter to insult God while dishing out acid from her tongue in the name of a better person. Disrespectful generation. You will have what you sow.

Respect people, folks.

On the otherhand, you get better/diverse job opportunities, better salaries and better returns on real estate investments. So just depends on which tradeoffs you're comfortable with.

Perfectly put.

It is by no means the wrong thread. This thread is the perfect thread for the poster.

She wants to know what she should do. EE to Ontario or to go to Montreal. She will need info from people on ground in Canada and I imagine many people currently living in Canada have gone through this phase.

Hello,
I am a bit perplexed and wondering if anyone could share some info with me. I just managed to get the required french level for French CBD draws and much as i am excited about updating my EE profile i am also wondering if i have better chances in Quebec's Arrima as compared to Ontario french draws. Another thing i am worried about is the 1500 OINP application fee as i continue to amass my POF and thinking that Quebec is a better option as it has a lower POF requirement. My fear is that Quebec may be difficult to survive for the rest of my family as i am the only french proficient member of the family.

Just to put into perspective:
1. i have an active profile in both EE and Arrima
2. should i update both profiles with my french results?
3. where do i stand a higher chance considering my CRS is currently in the ranges of 300-330 before NCLC 7 french update
4. hubby has no eca or ielts and doesnt plan on pursuing either
5. will my family manage the mainly french speaking Quebec environment, in terms of hubby getting a job as non french speaker, children coping with public school where i assume french is the medium of instruction?

I know i am putting the cart before the horse here but i would like to make an informed decision before i take any further action with regards to updating my profiles. I understand that i am not guaranteed ITA either way but better to ask that to be sorry i didnt.

thanks in anticipation.

You gotta think globally. Your family must be carried along. My advice will be to use your French skills to get into Ontario.

I was in a similar phase as you currently are now. I considered Ontario and Quebec.

My only worry is that your hubby has no plans to write ielts. He gotta pull his weight and support the big picture.

I admire your drive. I admire ladies who are focused on the Canadian dream. You have asked the right questions and you are well on your way.

Feel free to hit me. We carry our francophones along.

Bonne chance.

Thank you for your valuable advice. I'm pursuing an M.Eng. program in information security, and I have three years of experience in technical support. I would greatly appreciate referrals and tips from individuals who are already in the field I'm aspiring to enter. Montreal offers a wealth of attractions, and I'm open to the idea of settling here permanently, but my next career move will largely dictate my destination. Regarding French language courses, I did attempt them, but it proved challenging to balance between my academic responsibilities and language classes since I'm self-funded.
*I am in the market for a job, I do not mind a lot as the aim is to get my first Canadian job experience *
