replying them would be insane. Thanks
Don't bother replying them. I think your options are:
-Sound proof window/door
-Report to ministry of environment (if you are in Lagos).

There's a popular church (name withheld) who sighted their own old lister generator a distance away from their church but right behind our house windows.

The noise and the generator fume is sickening. We talked to the pastor, yet they refused to relocate it. We have left them for God cry
If it's in Lagos, you can report them to the ministry of environment. I had a similar issue with Assemblies of God church beside my house, after plenty complaints, we reported them to the ministry, and the ministry sent people to investigate. I was impressed. Although it only solved the problem for awhile

UNEP is d united nations environment programme, an arm of d UN just like UNICEF that u mentioned earlier. So y is UNEP not in d Niger Delta d way we have d undp, UNICEF& WHO that u mentioned in d north? Even if d NGOs are health related, are there no sicknesses in d south?
Well, PEPFAR (HIV) actually works a lot in the south. And there are some other ones too in the south, I have some friends that work with some of these agencies in the south.
BusinessRe: Tony Elumelu Foundation And UNDP To Empower Only Northern Nigerians? by ENG0701: 7:17am On Jul 10, 2019
Okpa042:
so the south is insignificant?..
It is not about being insignificant, it is a question of priority. Most times, these NGOs don't have more than $30m for a project, and that is even the rich ones, Nigeria is almost 200m people, you have to focus on places with the worse indices. I also do not like it, as I am a southerner, but their logic makes sense.
BusinessRe: Tony Elumelu Foundation And UNDP To Empower Only Northern Nigerians? by ENG0701: 7:13am On Jul 10, 2019
lexy2014:
Less than 2%? How did u come about ur 2%? NGOs don't need 2b political b4 they focus on just d north. All d major NGOs from oxfam to UNICEF don't just have more operations in d north, they are stationed in d north with little or no presence in d south. Oil degradation has destroyed d environment in d ND & left many without a means of livelihood. Do u c UNEP there? No way
Well, the 2 percent is the official UN statistics. Which you can also confirm online. I don't know about UNEP, I only know about NGOs that are health related because that is my field.
BusinessRe: Tony Elumelu Foundation And UNDP To Empower Only Northern Nigerians? by ENG0701: 11:03pm On Jul 09, 2019
lexy2014:
So there's no poverty, literacy & malnutrition in d south? Is it all d NGOs that are doing VVF
Most southern states have less than 2 percent of severe malnutrition, in the north, it's above 10 percent.
NGOs are apolitical, and they focus on regions in countries with worst indices.

Not all NGOs are into VVF, not all are into malnutrition. They all have what they focus on.

Even Bill Gate's foundation also focus on the north, DFID which is british, Clinton foundation, Unicef, WHO, all have more operation in the north because that is where intervention is needed.
BusinessRe: Tony Elumelu Foundation And UNDP To Empower Only Northern Nigerians? by ENG0701: 10:32pm On Jul 09, 2019
lexy2014:
And virtually all international NGOs, d UN, DfiD, USAID Japan Aid, e.t.c all work in d northern part of Nigeria. That's a mystery I am yet to understand
NGOs work in places with poor indices. Malnutrition, illiteracy, VVF, are more in the north, so NGOs focus their attention there.

While I may agree with you... You have to be patient to see things unfold.

Madoff was fleasing people billions of dollars, his children were living the dream and he was on top of the world for decades.

Until he was caught, given 100 years in prison at the age of over 50, which means he will die there. One of his son took his own life, the other died from another kind of death. The wife?

What does this tell you?

Abiola was the present day Tinubu but today all wealth is gone.

Igbinedion of Benin is just living on past glory, Babaginda is now a vegetable... He can't walk. Yes, the name still open doors for his children but as time goes on, they will be forgotten in coming generations.

Abacha, we know how that one ended...

Annenih, is gone and forgotten...

Sweatheart, the man who said a good name is better than gold and silver is not stupid...

Manhattan Gandhi and Mandela (my phone had these names as autocorrect, but doesn't have the evil ones mentioned above) was neither as wealthy as these men, but their names will go into 1Million years to come.
Babaginda's sickness is due to old age, good people also get sick, his family will forever live a good life. Abacha's children are doing well, rich and free, Annenih died of old age like everyone will. Karma sometimes catches up with some, but very few in my opinion.

No matter how hard I try to present my analysis, I will be seen as someone that support fraud. Capital No, I don't support it nor the fraudsters but we are chasing shadows while thinking yahoo yahoo will stop with condemnation, persecution of these guys. We need to go back to the drawing board and see how we got it all wrong as a country. I'm a confirmed street guy that knows that honesty barely pays or yield any dividends in this God forsaken country. We,(97%) the society worship anybody with money without thinking how they got it. Our culture, norms, ethics and values doesnt support us to see what is wrong as wrong rather as a blessing in disguise. The leaders loot what they will waste in the end and you think guys with no hope won't find a way to make a reasonable living when he knows that the country is bleeped. The police provide attachéé to top yahoo guys, the bankers aids the capital flights, the bank managers respect the young guy with huge deposits in his Bank, thereby fostering his job, the bank securities give the guys more respects because they tip them. Incase you don't know, the politicians takes the larger percentage of blames because they steal to our face which is demeaning....why do you think there is increase in kidnapping? All because the hopeless want to match up. Rituals? They are been brainwashed that money will come out if you bring a pant. And if all these were to succeed, the same society will adore them. Also, the mentality of "i must get it by force" is killing us all and we are silent.
Lastly, cybercrime is global. We can't eradicate it , we can only reduce it.

But before reducing it, make enabling environment for all

Thank you

@foolishmasses
I agree with your analysis. As any reasonable person will agree with you that all these vices are symptoms, and to tackle them we need to address a lot of fundamental issues.
However, what annoys me the most is how Yahoo Yahoo is being celebrated. No other crime gets celebrated this way. Armed robbers, prostitutes, kidnappers don't get this much support, it's gradually getting normalized. Celebrating a crime gives the impression that the society is in support of it.

This is what I am saying, every states, countries, localities have their traffic rules and regulations. Once you know your state has crazy law on traffic, do everything to avoid being caught. You know that LASG will seize your car if you drive against traffic then, dont do it... its as simple as ABC
Sometimes, people drive on one way unknowingly, maybe because of no sign, no not familiar with the area.
I once went to drop a friend in yaba, and she directed me to take a road that we both didn't know was a one way road. I had to pay a fine for that.
Making the penalty that stiff will seem unfair to people in such situations

i hope this is helpful
I have an idea of what you do and where you work. Technically, I thinks it's similar to sales rep, with more focus on educating HCPs, and other field marketing activities. I think 6221 fits, 0311 is for managers. Let's wait for more opinions.

Don't just know why things brought to Nigeria with good intentions are destroyed with wickedness...

The other story I heard from Nigeria info was about a lady called Chioma. She boarded the vehicle from lekki or so, she told the driver that she doesn't have cash on her that she was gonna do transfer, the driver innocently agreed not knowing Chiomas intention.

When they got to Yaba she feign that the network was bad, the driver still told her to go and try to send the money when the network is good. Few weeks after she has been mocking the driver, calling him mumu whenever he calls her...

Why are some people like this?

Another driver called to report that a driver was killed at Oshodi too.

Who caused this nation with wicked people self...
This is why people don't help out again. How can you call an understanding person mumu.

Personally I do not take most comments on nairaland seriously. A lot of people on here during election period are paid to comment. I know this personally because a friend of mine once did it.
He worked with PDP online team during the 2015 election. I even once dropped him at the office in gwarinpa, Abuja.
It makes no sense to be arguing with someone who is paid to argue.
After election, most of them stop commenting because their contract is over.

I think it will be nice to learn, as i heard that it also increases chances of getting work in Canada. you can download Duolingo to start learning.

Hi everyone. Got a question regarding the biometrics stage.

Is international passport needed when going for biometrics capture?
Yes, it is, and you need to make two coloured photocopies of your data page
