Celebrities / Re: An Interview With Actress Chiege Alisigwe by Engineer96(m): 12:44pm On Dec 08, 2012
All these celebrities, polticians and the affluents talk about NGO to help the less privileged in the society.
First ladies (presidents' wives- past and present) talk about less privileged. Governors' wives talk about NGO with emphasis on less privilege. Yet, we still have them everywhere and they are getting worse off daily.
I think all these NGOs are using the platform to enrich the pockets of the people that set them up.
Uncountable NGOs with no meaningful impact.
Nigeria-a country where everything goes.

Education / Re: Kano To Build Secondary School Hostels In Niger Republic by Engineer96(m): 6:05pm On Nov 09, 2012
The intention is clear here.
To take the children away from their parents like Abdumutallab and train them like aqaeda, ashaab and the likes. To train more boko haram members that will take over from their present leadership while shielding them away from the Nigerian government.
Who are they deceieving? It is very clear that boko haram has caused the north more than they can imagine- paralyzed economic activities, reduced investement and the likes to their detriment.
Enugu is cool. Lagos is cool. What will I be doing in that desert called states of the core north.
Culture / It's Well by Engineer96(m): 8:09pm On Nov 05, 2012
Hello NLs!
Please, I want your sincere views on this cultural aberation.

A colleague of mine lost her husband some weeks ago. I couldn't go to see her due to some peronal engagements.
Later, I called her on phone to condole with her and she told me ''it's well''. When she resumed work, almost everyone that comes to condole her would say '' it's well''.
This got me confused. Is it well that her husband is dead? is it well that her husband was shot three times at the head on his way to Onitsha from his village? Is it well that her husband was killed by armed robbers or assasins? is it well that her only child/daughter is just five years? Is it well that the woman is now left alone to bring up her child?
I mean what is well there? To the best of my knowledge, when a woman lost her husband, especailly in Igboland, vis-a-vis Nigeria, people will try to tell her that worse things has happened to other people. Or as a christian, she should not weep like someone that has no hope or that God will reward those that killed her husband. But telling her it is well, seriously, it is confusing me.
Is this part of our culture what could be responsible for this?

Nothing strange. He was merely
identifying with his associates. What is
the difference between them?

Nigeria police is the first criminal in Nigeria.
Nigeria police is the first enemy of Nigerians.
Nigeria police is the most corrupt institution in Nigeria.

Nothing good can come out of Nigerian police.
The guy was just unfortunate. Believe me, there are worse criminals in there than the said guy.

Politics / Re: EFCC Arrests Man With $7M At MMIA by Engineer96(m): 2:00pm On Sep 29, 2012
This arrest brings us to a very important point.
It is this Tijani Abubaka (T J for short) that was sent by Farouk Lawan to collect part of $620k from Otedola.
Do we believe that there are other petroleum dealer(s) that greased Lawan's hand during the public hearing? Is that $620k part of the $7m being smuggled? Are other politicians, apart from Farouk Lawan, using this T J to smuggle money out of the country?
We need to ask questions.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Baby Born With Rosary In Ogun State by Engineer96(m): 8:35pm On Sep 02, 2012
According to Ogunsanya: “Such claim
could only be possible with the help of
a third party who might have implanted
the rosary into the woman while she
was unaware.”
He said that such claims might be due
to some women who inserted Intra-
Uterine Device (IUD) through their
vaginas into the uterus, adding that this
may not necessarily disturb the growth
of the baby.
Dr. Ogunsanya noted that in such cases,
it was possible for the baby, during
delivery, to hold on to or bring such an
object out of the woman.

The CMD has said it all.
Don't mind those Islamic fanatics trying to deceive everyone but I refuse to be one.

Celebrities / Re: Eedris Abdulkareem Calls Obasanjo A ‘Mugu’ by Engineer96(m): 8:25pm On Sep 02, 2012
What was Obasanjo contribution to make
nigeria a better country?

Obasanjo liberalized the telecom sector, Obasanjo gave freedom of the press. Obasanjo liberated us and stabilized us from the hands of the military.
He has sacrificed alot for us. He brought debt relief for Nigeria. He brought technocrats to help reshape our economy.
Privitization started during his regime.
All towards a better Nigeria. I am sure you would perform much less than Obasanjo accomplished.
Celebrities / Re: Eedris Abdulkareem Calls Obasanjo A ‘Mugu’ by Engineer96(m): 2:56pm On Sep 02, 2012
Politics apart. Can Eedris call his biological father mugu? Is Obasanjo not old enough to be his father?
It is not in our culture for the young ones to insult the elderly ones no matter the case.
He should have it in mind that what is being talked about here is OUR Nigeria that even Eedris owes alot.
What has Eedris contributed towards a better Nigeria? What has his father and his grandfather contributed to make Nigeria better?
He should be taken to a rehabilitation home.
