Education / Re: UNIZIK Wins Geo-sciences Competition Among African Universities by Engineer96(m): 6:50pm On Mar 28, 2013
Plz NLs,
I have a question. What was ESUT doing there? Were they expecting that they could win in the presence of UNIZIK, UNILAG, FUTA, etc or were they expecting magic?
Just to satisfy my curiosity.

Nairaland / General / Re: Can You Report A Law-breaker To Policemen In Nigeria? by Engineer96(m): 7:53pm On Mar 20, 2013
Report any crime to Nigerian police and you will be the first suspect.
If the crime affected you, you will give them money for fuel for their vehicle. Or they will detain you pending investigation. They can equally kill you so as to let their friends have a free day. Or you can be become the accused.
Never give NPF any info or do it at your own peril. Either you try to manage the situation on your own or let the criminal(s) be.

I am in.
Zico,
I will let you be because you said you are a fresher (a beginer) in the field.
Money or currency circulation is mostly done through commercial banks like UBA, ZENITH, GTB, 1stBank etc. I wish to bring this to a layman's understanding. When new notes are issued, just like when #1000 notes came out newly, you get it from commercial banks. This money is in turn used in buying and selling and so the circulation contnues.
Entertainment / Re: Six Nigerians Honoured By World Economic Forum by Engineer96(m): 10:26pm On Mar 16, 2013

Bravo.
Politics / Re: 'My Oga At The Top': Wife Protests At Channels TV' by Engineer96(m): 9:51pm On Mar 16, 2013
The issue§ to consider here is" Did the oga at the top asked this man to speak to the media for and on behalf of NSCDC"?
Nollywood has seen the title of their next video.
This joke has made channels tv even more popular
All the federal ministries will issue a circular that no staff of their ministry should go to the press or issue any statement to the press except duly authorized by the minister. This may not favour channels.
There is no need for this protest. This joke has gone far beyond channels tv.
Time is a great healer.
Politics / Re: GEJ Fires Director-General Of NCAA, Demuren by Engineer96(m): 3:40am On Mar 12, 2013
Dr Damureen has been the head of NCAA since Obj's administration through Yar'adua's to Jonathan's administration.
In Nigeria, there are abundant and untapped human resources. I don't believe that anybody has the sole knowledge of anything in Nigeria.
Again, GEJ has the power to remove the head of any federal agency.
We may not see what the president and his team saw that made them decide to change the baton but Harold can be outperfomed by another Nigerian.

Investment / Re: Which Nigerian Stocks Have You Bought Or Sold? by Engineer96(m): 8:46pm On Feb 28, 2013
I bought UBA in 2011 @8.90 and latter the same year @ #6 but now UBA is, as at today, #8.20.
I hope to hold it for the next 3years or more. But I learnt that the share price of other subsidiaries of UBA like prudential registrar, Afriland properties, _UBA capital will now be part of my shares just like firstbank and other banks that have introduced monobanking.
I don't know the ratio of sharing because the registrar is currently selling at about 1.50.
Plz, somebody should educate me more on this because I need to know.
Thanks for this topic. It will surely be an eye opener to many investor and would-be investors.
Politics / Re: Pupils In Enugu Study On Bare-Floor, Leaking Roof by Engineer96(m): 9:27pm On Feb 25, 2013
This is incidentally this is incidentally my local government.
Though my hometown was not mentioned but has the said highest number of profs.
You can not find a primary school like these ones in my home town and that is where the said chairman-award winning chairman came from.
What happened to constituency projects of both state and federal and state legislators- princess Stella Ngwu, Senator Ayogu Eze, Barr Eugene Odoh who is the speaker of Enugu state house of assembly, mr Okey Nwoke.
They can take up these projects after all budgets for constituency projects is big enough to build 10 new primary schools in each fereal constituency.
But we should not forget the ones renovated by the former chairman.

It is for marketers, and non marketers.
The place, department or the unit you will be posted to will be done by the employer at the end of a training which you must undergo after the test.

No matter how anyone sees it.
Christianity is a better religion for me. This involves money but your life is preserved. Moreover, these are free will donations.
Compare this with the blood sucking, killer and anti life religion and tell me which one is better.

I once read a graduate of UNIBEN writing for the issuance of his certificate 10 years after graduating.
It is frustrating.
Education / Secondary Teachers Fails General Paper Exam. by Engineer96(m): 6:43pm On Jan 27, 2013
Belgian trainee teachers fail in basic general knowledge
Wed, Jan 23 12:40 PM EST
BRUSSELS (Reuters) - A large number of Belgium's future secondary school teachers struggle with basic concepts of geography, politics and history, a study published on Wednesday has shown.

Among final year teaching students involved in the study, one in three could not identify the United States on a map and almost half did not know where the Pacific Ocean was.

Shown a picture of Mao Zedong, two in three could not recognize the Chinese Communist leader, with the most common response being that it was the late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.

Researchers at the Limburg Catholic University College tested 1,000 students in eight teacher training colleges in Belgium's Flemish region.

The test, which asked 114 multiple choice questions, was carried out because students often showed gaps in their general knowledge, the researchers conducting the test said.

"Nobody is completely taken aback by the results," Erik De Winter of the Limburg Catholic University College said.

When asked which political ideology stood for the redistribution of wealth, higher taxes and state involvement only one in two answered socialism.

Students who followed the news and read newspapers scored better in the test than those who said they did not, De Winter said. He added the college would now carry out further research to see how the situation could be improved.

The Flemish education ministry said it was already rethinking the training of its future teachers and would, if necessary, make adjustments by summer 2013.
