He submitted the affidavit deposed by Oba in 2016 and was asked if he had gone to UI to authenticate his findings that the Certificate was altered, he answered in the Negative.

Similarly, Mr Asekomhe, who claimed to be an Associate Professor of Banking and Finance at the Benson Idahosa University, Benin, also said he had never seen Mr Obaseki’s original certificate.

He said he could, therefore, not comment on the original certificate.

Election cases are sui generis (i.e in a class of its own).

A Governor, his Deputy, President and Vice-President do not enjoy immunity as enshrined in Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution as amended, when it comes to election cases.

The Supreme Court in Kakih v PDP & 2 Ors., the celebrated case of Saleh v Abah., Maihaja v Geidam., Audu v INEC, Imam v Ali Modu Sherriff and so many other decided authorities have aptly put it that you don't need previous conviction to ascertain forgery when it comes to election cases. (It is in the link I sent you earlier).

All that is needed is a Proof that Mr. A submitted a forged document and the Issuing Authority stamping it as true.

In the case of Saleh v Abah, the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi emphatically said Abah didn't graduate from their school.

Abah argued like you have stated up there that conviction must have been proven but the Supreme Court said NO.

Like I have said, Obaseki's path of redemption or damnation is the UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN.
