I hope you know that PTDF can change the country a person chose. You can choose Germany and when the scholarship is out they will change it to France or Malaysia. PTDF does that all the time. So Imagine paying application fee of €100 and ending up getting a different country. To my understanding it is far better one wait for the shortlist, especially if you are for FGM.

That's why in all that we do, let's not forget the importance of prayer too.

Well, may GOD forbit that o. Anyway, my advice to anyone who wants to defer the admission after winning the scholarship, please target January 2023. Deferring your admission to anything more than 6 months is not an ideal or a wise approach even if the current PTDF management permits it. Remember, rules, regulations, policy and even the government itself might change later.

That was one scholarship that was cancelled in the past when a new government came in.

The koko is to get the award first. U can reapply for the admission again from that November.

Yes, it's true. But I beg you with all my heart, remove South Korea from the list. Don't let it end in tears. It's not a good place for Africans to study at all unless you intend on leaving as soon as you complete your program. I know 2 people that are currently having hard times there after completing their MSc. They were forced to become factory workers. Infact, one of them who got a degree qualification job was asked to forcefully resign after sometime because the authority forced the company to give it to their own citizen. They won't allow you to take jobs based on your degree qualifications. Unlike the US, Canada and virtually all Western nations, South Korea doesn't allow Africans to stay back easily and assimilate to their society. You might be lucky if you marry their citizens though!

There are many USA and Canada universities that no longer require application fee especially now that UK introduced Post study visa.

Many schools now waive GRE.

now waive English for Nigerians. Some require WAEC or English Proficiency letter.

You just need to Google.

So many Nigerians are winning it. Try and change your network to get info.

This is where your First Class, strong 2.1 and publications stand out unlike PTDF which is pure luck.

Bro, even the US and Canada universities are not that easy unless you have contacted a Professor who is keen in welcoming you to his/her research group before submitting your application on the general admission portal. Without this, most applicants waste a lot of dollars on application fees every year to US/Canadian universities unlike UK universities that doesn't even charge for application fees (except for few that does). I was once a victim too. Don't forget GRE, IELTS , WES evaluation etc are needed in most cases and these are not cheap either.

With your fist class or strong 2:1 CGPA , you can get scholarships in Canada and USA conveniently.

With your first class , PTDF is not certain for some people because of Nigerian factors.

Mind you its usually easy for STEM courses to get these scholarships.

U need not worry if all the schools have closed for FGM. The most important thing is to win the scholarship award first. U can defer your admission till the next semester intake.

Interesting indeed. To buttress your point, even Libermmann confirmed that he knows a 2:2 that won UK Msc last year. The competition is within the states. An average profile of candidate A in state A might be better than than a distinction profile of candidate B in state B. So A might win and B might not.

WAEC is very important. If not, there is no how many 2.2 candidates usually win.

You won it because your total score in your category might be in a less competitive state. Note that your category (FGM) is less competitive compared to UK. You might have got recommendation in your proposal as there is less competition. Most strong profile chose UK.

Many people with strong profile better than you did not win. They might have chosen UK which has more competition. They might have been in a more competitive states. Also, it could be that marking scheme was lenient as WAEC didn't carry much weight back then unlike now.

You just need to thank God and stop putting people hopes high. The truth is only few people will win and many people will be disappointed. Say it as it is.

Above all, it is God's grace that will make one win and not by anyone doing. Keep on praying. What will be will be.

If WAEC and First Degree aren't so significant as such , then your assertion and your current award seem to confirm the announcement in which PTDF itself said that selection of awardees will be based strictly on performance in the interview? But one thing is clear, no one at this point fully know the exact grading and selection criteria. Past award schemes may have also changed. The criteria are almost being changed every year. But having good grades is very very important. GOD help us in JESUS Name .Amen

The dictator Putin has even banned Jehovah Witnesses in their law since about 3 years ago. It's now an civil offense to be a Jehovah Witness in Russia. This is why it is wrong to allow evil rulers to be in power. Christians have the right to elect godly leaders but if we refuse to act right, evil and tyranny will prevail. Nigeria of today has a population of about 50% Christians (born again or not) . That's about 100M people. Yet only about 20M people decides who to lead us. This must stop.

The fact that some or many Christians compromise or blend with the world does not mean all other or every Christian will do the same. Neither does it mean JESUS said Christians must not be involved in governance. In every other areas of life such as accounting, engineering, business etc, some christians still compromise. But does that mean they should stopped being accountants, engineers, businesmen etc? The answer is a capital NO. Again, you are still misquoting the scriptures. JESUS did not called every disciples in the same manner. Some were called to become ministers such as the Apostles. These are the category of people that became full time missionaries . He didn't called everybody to stop working. Cornelius that became born again was never reported to have stopped his work as a military man. The same goes for Priscila and Aquila who were tent makers and yet were still faithful disciples. What about the elite or rich man called Joseph of Arimathea. (Mathew 27: 57-59). He was so influential in the public society of that era that he could asked the governor Pilate for the dead body of our Lord JESUS and prepare him for burial. The lesser influential or poorer Christians couldn't do that because they had all run away and hidden themselves out of fear. This is not an insult to them because they were mourning and in disbelief at that moment. Hence, Joseph of Arimathea had to fulfill that purpose better than them. This implies every Christian whether rich, poor or elite has their role to play in the fulfilment of the gospel.

Pay close attention to what Jesus Christ then commands you to do in Verse 28. There He declares that in this you should instead be like Him. Jesus Christ never engaged in politics nor did He embrace the politics of this world, or rule over His own disciples in any way of form. Bro, you misquoted the words of JESUS CHRIST to back up your doctrine in Jehovah Witness. Those words of JESUS is available to anyone who has the bible. They can verify it themselves. Stop misquoting the scriptures , bro. The Matthew 20 vs 24-28 you misquoted reads thus "When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. 25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. END OF QUOTE. Clearly, JESUS was referring to how christian brothers and sisters should treat themselves in their gathering/fellowship. He wasn't referring to politics or governance.
