blackbeau1: Well, in Uk, the lecturers aren't as bitter and wicked as the ones we have here. For instance, one of our lecturers told us 'anatomy dept can never produce a 1st class because they (lecturers) can't let us do so. 'According to him if we did, there's a chance we could get a job in the department and they simply couldn't allow that. You see, can you just imagine what is coming out from the mouth of the lecturer who is supposed to be your adviser and source of encouragement. Nigeria is a failed state. |

Nigeriadondie:
If u school abroad and with all the state of the art faciilities and u re serious and determined coupled with lecturers who dont see themselves as gods or too arrogant to even relate well with their students tell me why that student would not excel. Not one who wud impose textbooks on u and fail u for not buying or tell u grade A is for God or his dead ancestors
Those who do sciences, engineering and medical courses and studied both in Nigeria and abroad wud see the huge difference between modern 21st century education and archaic system of education in Nigeria with dilapidated labs and if there are equipment they are old model and that is y our graduates trained locally can never measure up to d challenges of d 21st century. Not to talk of outdated curriculum as some of our lecturers still give their notes of 80's to students in 2017
What of incessant strikes by ASUU, NASU, SSANU that wud make a student spend more years than necessary when he or she must ve spent years waiting to get in, in the first place.
No wonder our looters in power send their kids abroad to school cos they know the wide gap between our educational system abroad and what u ve home. Even the least rated school in Europe and America is far ahead of our so called presitgious ivory towers if they even ve any prestige at all.
Also, the excellent performance of Nigerian students abroad attests to d fact that if given the right environment, Nigerians would always excel even far beyond set expectations. But sadly, most of the abundant talented youths whose skills should ve been nurtured, groomed, mdeveloped and subsequently harnessed for the good of all rots away.
Nigeria is a ground for destroying destinies but when some are able to succeed the useless country would always want to identify with success they never made any contribution to.
U see many Nigerians who ve excelled in their chosen fields abroad and when they make waves the useless govt wud want to identify with them as if they did anything to contribute to d success of that individual and obviously if that person had been in Nigeria is 101% certain that such individual may never have gotten to d peak of their career perharp some may ve died Oh... You have just said my mind. This is just the plain truth about our educational system. Killing dreams since time immemorial. |

deepwater: OP what is the meaning of this thread
Gatherings Yoruba women like heavy gatherings, owambe things, they would block the road completely, kill big cows and drink enough hydraulic soup to celebrate their wards who have just completed apprenticeship in carpentry and hairdressing without having money to rent a shop for their practice afterwards.
The Women Their women are so timid, at the mention of olopa (police) they run away, and hide at their backyards shouting ye! ye! mokun o! ọlọrun gbà mi!!!
Food Yoruba women are skillful in inoculating their kids with hydraulic soups immediatly after birth, most times, they turn the innocent child upside down, head strapped withing their fleshy thighs, nostrils blocked, and mouth wide open to inoculate hydraulics into the infant while s/he gasp for the breath of life (this makes me cry )
Business Yoruba women have no business acumen, all they do is kiri (hawk) akara elepo and pàkúté on the streets of Nigeria
NYASH They can have Nyash for Africa, this is obviously the resultant effect of hydraulic soup inoculation. they have big big watery nyash unlike their igbo counterparts who have firm, thick, water melon hard, and onion curvy butts, Yoruba own is always dirty and smelling
Salutation They salute with every happenings;Ẹ ku ibalopo, Ẹ ku abọ, Ẹ ku aarọ, Ẹ ku ọsan, Ẹ ku strike, Ẹ ku subsidy, Ounjẹ ajẹye o, Ko to ọpẹ, Ẹ ku Ayọ Ajinde, Ẹ ku Ayọ Keresimesi ati Ọdun Tuntun Oh Lawd... What kind of savage is this |

So, in one of my WhatsApp group chat someone decided to make a joke out of the prolonged delay of the NYSC Batch A, Stream II deployment. He was like: Teacher: Which is the highest mountain in Africa? Students: Mountain Kilimanjaro Teacher: Good. Which is the longest river in Africa? Students: River Nile Teacher: Very good. Now which is the longest stream in Nigeria? Students: NYSC Batch A, Stream II I couldn't control my laughter, I was even looking for fainting space. Lol. Please if you know anyone in Stream II, Batch A, try checking up on them o. You have no idea what they are going through. Save a life. Hug someone in stream II today.

If she holds a man's shirt by the throat, she is a tout, please treat her like one. If she goes on an uncontrollable destruction spree of your properties, she is a tout and vandal, beat her like a tout and hand her over to the police like a vandal. Politics › Igbos, Please Don't Make Anyone Popular By Mistake. by engrpheleeks(op): 4:59pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
IGBOS, PLEASE DON'T MAKE ANYONE POPULAR BY MISTAKE! We have the NUMBERS on Facebook. Use it for silence! By Charles Ogbu: Our motor still remain, boycott all posts, timelines and comments mocking Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu. Make the posters IRRELEVANT. The only reason they are doing this is because we keep giving them undue attention. Those lots are not worthy of even our silence. If they make their anti-Igbo/anti-Biafra/ anti-Kanu post and no Igbo person comes there to comment or like, the post will die a natural death and the owner will know that Igbo/Biafra bashing is now a contraband business. Who are the people making them popular if not Igbo? 80% of their commenters/likers are Igbo. Boycott these hate-filled lots. Make them irrelevant. Don't argue. Don't insult. Don't even call them out because that will be making them popular. Just ignore!!!. Pretend like they don't exist. If you see any Igbo person commenting there, go inbox and convince the person to ignore those idiots. Some of these guys do it purposely to attract traffic. Show them that we Igbos have the numbers. We own this arena called FB. We run the streets here. Prove this to them by ignoring them. That way, they will go back to having just 3 comments on their posts. And we will have more time to focus on advancing our case in support of our struggle. Igbos, please, try this. You will see that it works like magic. PLEASE SHARE! Charles Ogbu 11 mins · Public |

Christianity Etc › Evangelism: The Reason You Are Saved. by engrpheleeks(op): 2:53pm On Jun 29, 2017 |
How trendy? Few months back it was "I slay", "Slay queen", "Slay_mama", and all of that. Not until they were educated on the slaying prowess of wicked queen Jezebel that such insane trend got distorted. It was so shameful that even some christian sisters slayed, thank God we are past that now. Surprisingly, it only gave way to a more disturbing trend. It's now almost impossible to read 5 posts on the social media without coming across these mantras; "give me space, I want to faint", "shift, let me faint", some go as far as asking you if you have bed and space for them to faint.... Lol Quite seriously, how is that stylish? Where in the world do you win admiration for fainting? Or do you really want to faint? I am waiting for a dispensation when people will glory over the number of persons they told about Christ. Yes, that's why you were saved! Enough for these vain talks... It's time to be intentional with our living! |
