WATCHOVER: God cannot make mistakes, Buhari will never rule Nigeria again mark my words
are you God? Is your word now God's word? As the saying goes, the wisdom of man is foolishness unto God. You are just one in180million people and you talk as if you are God. Kowing all.
yeah, you are right. Dino, Saraki, FFK, Fayose, Deizani, dudafa. And Godsknow Igali are all Igbos. Really something needs to be done with this your way of thinking.
tomakint: "" About the OBJ's $16B power project controversy, Dr Nura Alkali posted this:
"How true is the statement that "OBJ's government spent $16 billion on power and had nothing to show for it"?
Fact Checks:
1. By May 1999 when OBJ took office, Nigeria had seven functional power plants generating 1,500 mW daily. These were Kainji, Jebba and Shiroro hydroelectric plants; and Egbin, Afam, Delta and Sapele gas thermal plants.
2. The two coal thermal plants at Orji River and Ijora were non-functional for lack of coal and obsolete equipment.
3. During 1999-2007, the FGN built six gas power plants now supplying electricity to the national grid. They include Afam II (276mW), Papalanto (330mW), Geregu (414mW) and Omotosho (330mW), all completed by May, 2007.
4. A fifth plant at Alaoji, Delta State (545Mw), was under construction. A sixth plant was under construction at Ikot-Abasi, Akwa-Ibom State (145Mw). It was a state government partnership with the FGN.
5. Also during 1999-2007, seven states initiated power projects under the NIPP Program with FGN support (though not partnerships) at: Sapele (Delta State), Egbema (Imo), Ehobor (Edo), Gbaram (Bayelsa), Calabar (Cross-River), and Omoku (Rivers).
6. In the private sector, the Agip oil company built and commissioned a 480Mw thermal plant at Okpai, Delta State.
7. Two hydroelectric projects at Zungeru (Niger State) and Mambilla (Taraba State) were at the design and conception stage by 2007. Construction work started at Zungeru (700mW) in 2013, to be completed in 2020, while construction work at Mambilla (3,050mW) started only in 2018.
8. During 1999-2007, the FGN also rehabilitated existing power plants at Kainji, Egbin and Shiroro, which were all performing far below capacity due to accumulated neglect.
9. Also during 1999-2007, the FGN initiated new power transmission projects (though most of them commenced after 2007) and passed into law the Power Sector Reform Act which allowed the privatization of NEPA/PHCN.
Summary:
Today, Nigeria owes at least 2,520 mW of her daily power generation to FGN policies conceived and executed during 1999-2007. That excludes investments in power transmission and distribution, as well as FGN support for NIPP projects which came on stream after 2007.
Conclusion:
OBJ's government has something to show for its power projects. It is left for auditors, engineers and other experts to determine how much billions justifies that achievement."
2500MW of electricity by OBJ? utter rubbish. Are you saying that GEJ/Yaradua did not contribute even 1kw of electricity in 8 years. Just because of the hatred you have for PMB you wants to twist history? You lie.
Paperwhite: Guess Okorocha have seen that no all that glitters is gold? Same APC government he is so passionately with is the same one screwing him from all fronts now.
so because he is in APC he should be allowed to commit acts of illegality? Nigerians will never learn. What is wrong is wrong no matter what politics you play.
Kemiii: Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has responded to the suggestion by President Muhammadu Buhari that the administration he (Obasanjo) led between 1999 and 2007 wasted $16billion on power projects without anything to show for it.
Mr. Buhari had while receiving a delegation of Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) at the Presidential Villa Tuesday criticised previous Nigerian administrations for “lack of imagination.” In what appeared a direct reference to Mr. Obasanjo, the president said “one of the former Heads of State between that time was bragging that he spent more than 15 billion American dollars, not Naira, on power. Where is the power? Where is the power? And now we have to pay the debts.”
The former President, who backed Mr. Buhari’s election in 2015, but who has since turned one of the fiercest critics of the administration, has now shot back through a statement by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi.
In the statement emailed to PREMIUM TIMES, Mr. Obasanjo described Mr. Buhari’s claim as ignorant, and unsubstantiated.
The former president said, “It has come to the attention of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo that a statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari, apparently without correct information and based on ignorance, suggested that $16 billion was wasted on power projects by “a former President”.
“We believe that the President was re-echoing the unsubstantiated allegation against Chief Obasanjo by his own predecessor but one.
“While it is doubtful that a President with proper understanding of the issue would utter such, it should be pointed out that records from the National Assembly had exculpated President Obasanjo of any wrong-doing concerning the power sector and has proved the allegations as false.
“For the records, Chief Obasanjo has addressed the issues of the power sector and the allegations against him on many occasions and platforms, including in his widely publicised book, My Watch in which he exhaustively stated the facts and reproduced various reports by both the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which conducted a clinical investigation into the allegations against Chief Obasanjo, and the Ad-Hoc Committee on the Review of the Recommendations in the Report of the Committee on Power on the Investigation into how the Huge Sums Of Money was Spent on Power Generation, Transmission And Distribution between June 1999 and May 2007 without Commensurate Result.
“We recommend that the President and his co-travellers should read Chapters 41, 42, 43 and 47 of My Watch for Chief Obasanjo’s insights and perspectives on the power sector and indeed what transpired when the allegation of $16 billion on power projects was previously made. If he cannot read the three-volume book, he should detail his aides to do so and summarise the chapters in a language that he will easily understand.
“In the same statement credited to the President, it was alleged that there was some bragging by Chief Obasanjo over $16 billion spent on power. To inform the uninformed, the so-called $16 billion power expenditure was an allegation against Chief Obasanjo’s administration and not his claim.
“The President also queried where the power generated is. The answer is simple: The power is in the seven National Integrated Power Projects and eighteen gas turbines that Chief Obasanjo’s successor who originally made the allegation of $16 billion did not clear from the ports for over a year and the civil works done on the sites.
“Chief Obasanjo challenges, and in fact encourages, anybody to set up another enquiry if in doubt and unsatisfied with the EFCC report and that of the Hon. Aminu Tambuwal-led ad-hoc committee.”
rubbish talk. Where in the world is $16billion spent on a power project and less than a 1000MW is achieved. This is shameful really. Instead of keeping quiet you come out to clear our doubts that you are stup!d, vengeful, and on a mission to destroy this country.
it would have been better for Olisa Metuh to have gone into yahoo plus instead of politics. Now he has been reduced to a mere actor playing the part dictated to him by his lawyers
Einstein or Pythagoras... Science students should know better, and why is the one deserving of it??

I give it to Pythagoras. The 3,4,5 square system is used in all engineering. Civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical and other engineering. While Einstein's e=mc2 is mainly used in energy relate challenges.
crimeboss: Buhari deliberately offered CAN this money in the event to scatter, confuse and disorient the association for him to continue the killing of minority without the association antagonizing him when he has tainted them for taking in return of sacrificing the lives of christians to achieve the jihad conquest. Again, is CAN the only association that visits the presidency that is being offered money?, this government is so diabolic and dark minded, BUHARI IS A CERTIFY TERRORIST.
na Buhari expose him yansh for public abi na elders wen call dem self NCEF.
dammy13: The former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Saturday announced his exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and formally declared for Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Omisore, in a press statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, gave a vivid historical allusion to his political career since 1999, saying his new political move would remain irrevocable and irreversible.
He stressed that his personality combines toughness and flexibility, which according to him make a good leader in all standards.
Omisore argued that those who have “misconstrued” his personality to be arrogance are weak personalities with intent of mischief and practically visionless.
His statement read: “It is pertinent to note the historical pathway of my engagement in the political affairs in Osun state, and indeed at regional and national levels. I played a pivotal role in the creation of the now defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD) when the country returned back to democratic ruling in 1999 and I became the Deputy Governor of this great state.
“It is intrigues, dishonesty and loss of vision in vociferous attacks on my person that led to my departure from the AD and foray in the PDP. My pathway of commitment to state as a distinguished Senator, and Chair of the Committee on Appropriations speak very loudly of my commitment to Osun state, evidenced in the volume of allocations and projects in the state.
“This record remains without a parallel. My commitment to its citizens is without contest as over many years, I have reached to provide access to jobs, enterprise and social assets for our people through my political, professional, business and social networks.
“In moving forward, and way from the PDP, this commitment to Osun state shall remain resolute and unshaken. It is my state of origin, the people my people, and where ever I go, I shall remain their dutiful son, and leader. Nothing can change that.
“Notwithstanding my enormous contributions over the past years or so to building the PDP, after very deep thought and the widest consultations with my God, my family, my supporters in and outside Osun state, It is with great concern that I have made a very expedient decision today, to withdraw my membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
“On the platform of the SDP, I shall with the support of my supporters, followers, and the electorate of the state, seek the nomination to contest for, and by His grace, be elected as the Executive Governor of Osun state on September 22, 2018.
“While I have always regarded the entire state as my constituency, as a democrat, I will continue to align with the forces of change that would guarantee justice, prosperity, peace and happiness for our peoples”, the statement reads in part.
fergie001: The DPP shouldn't have made that statement especially because of their independence but in your heart of hearts, following the antecedents of this IGP and FG,do you think they will return the suspects to Ilorin? They won't,they will keep them in Abuja under protective custody and charge the SP to court, you and I know where this game is headed. So it's like, the Kwara DPP getting orders from Saraki wants to dance in the gutter with the IGP asserting orders from Buhari...anybody seeing it otherwise isn't telling the truth.....The big question we should ask ourselves is this: WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
this is a criminal case. The offences were commited in kwara state, all the witnesses, evidence, and whatnot are in Kwara state, therefore the trial will be in Kwara state. The only thing going for the police is that the case can be taking to the federal high court and a judge from outside assigned the case instead of the state high court.
seguno2: Is it by force for all APC supporters to tell lies anyhow Drawing and design stage for your dreams abi? Below was just last year oh. I hope that you understand that the contractor must have been on site BEFORE Buhari ordered them out for over two years.
this here is all political talk. Work on this bridge started with the Buhari regime. GEJ only went to site to commission the drawing and design which was later adjusted and increased in length by Buhari
seguno2: Please quote just one person who said that Jonathan has paid for the bridge if you are not a liar like Fashola, Lai Mohammed, Buhari and all APC supporters. I hope that you are not a liar and you will quickly share just one quote. Thanks
Doyin Okukpe, Reno the dog fu<ker Omokri and a host of others. There was even a thread on this sometime ago on Nairaland.
We don't need uncouth, brash villagers crossing over to our westside cities and towns.
STOP THE DAMN PROJECT!!!
yeah, your siblings across the river are now villagers. This is why Biafra will never work. You guys are looking for people to be enslaved used and dumped.
15Ebisco: The Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, has said that the Federal Government has put in place workable funding mechanism, to ensure the Second Niger Bridge is completed.
Fashola stated this on Saturday, when he visited the site of the project at Oko near Asaba in Delta state.
The former Lagos Governor said the modified tax credit policy, the Sukuk Intervention Fund and the Presidential Infrastructural Fund, among others, were aimed at funding infrastructure projects that would make the country globally competitive.
“By my assessment, the piling work is now about 50 per cent.
“At the time I resumed work at the ministry, only the bridge was designed and work had stopped, but because of the commitment of the president, work has commenced.
“For the foreseeable future, I don’t see any reason why work will stop again because funding has been provided,” Fashola said.
Maket: we will go no we're in this country if this blame games continues. Collect SLAP
give me another SLAP kpawai! Really to say the truth PDP is diabolical and knows no shame. There is no limit to what they would do to get into the CBN again. The $47billion is making them go mad.
dainformant: The Department of State Services (DSS), Bauchi command yesterday paraded a suspect identified as Mr. Dokogel from Plateau state. According to reports, he was arrested with 15 AK-47 guns loaded in his car.
He confessed to have had 5 trips from Gamborin gala in Borno sto Plateau state. He also added that he was only a messenger of one man based in Jos.
PDP is behind most of the killings taking place in the country. This man is a christian transporting arms that would later be used to kill christians and blamed on herdsmen.
So all the hard working Nigerians who have been affected by this buhari led government are lazy abi All those that lost their jobs because of buhari incompetence are lazy abi
Zombie
When you see comments like this know that the commenter is either ignorant or among those that raped and debauchered our economy. In 2015, we had over 27 states unable to pay salary, why? Was it also PMB that caused it, @maxiuc is blaming Buhari. Recently, we learn that just three people (jide omokore, kola aluko and diezani) stole over $3billion. Dankwanbo the Governor of Gombe state and a Presidential aspirant of the economy raping party PDP just days ago confirmed Sanusi Lamido Sanusi accusasion that the NNPC failed to remit over $21billion to the federation account. This same SLS was sacked by your hero (mr stealing is not corruption) for saying the truth. Also, Femi Falana as part of a team that is investigating crude oil lifting has said our oil was being lifted without being paid for. That in one port alone in georgia, over 80million barrel of crude was discovered to have been taxed without any record whatsoever of the transaction in Nigeria. These are just a few of what brought us to recession. Billion on dollars was looted from the CBN in an archaic manner without even trying to conceal the act. It is a shame really that these subversives would turn around to blame those that are trying to bring us out of this hole dug by the PDP evil party.
zolacoded: U misconstrued d message. That of Saraki's ish is a kettle of fish entirely, even at that he's not a member of the opposition parties. What I'm trying to deduce is that Buhari should give room for constructive criticisms as it is the beauty of democracy the way we have it in saner climes, so why must our own be different? No politician is a saint, so they all gat skeleton in their cupboard.
If u knw u knw
now if what the NPF is about to accuse Saraki (aiding and abetting these assassins in the killing of Kwarans) is true, would it be out of order for the police to have acted the way it has done so far? No. Then since we do not have all the information, let us give the NPF the benefit of the doubt instead of acting like ingrates. Do you know that the IGP going after Saraki close to an election year is not in favour of the ruling party as he his rocking the boat? This is why we should respect PMB for allowing the right thing to be done regardless of whose ox is gored. In saner climes as you said, the IGP can pursue the even the President for a criminal act commited in and out of office. Trump right now is being investigated for an offence which in Africa would not be an offence not to talk of investigating it.
So all the hard working Nigerians who have been affected by this buhari led government are lazy abi All those that lost their jobs because of buhari incompetence are lazy abi
Zombie
i guess ya papa no give you sense. Ya hero GEJ stole us blind and you are blaming the man that came to save us! Idiota.
It's one thing to cast away madness caused by evil spirits and demons,
It's another thing to cast away madness caused by Kparaga, codeine, monkey tail, Kwale sawdust, Sapele water, tramadol or yahooplus.
With that said, the Prophet should be unconditionally released because he had only good intentions for the deceased and to think the deceased's family will refuse to pay up the balance for deliverance.
even Anini had good intentions when he sprayed money on the streets, rev king also had good intentions when he set fire on that poor girl.
Jonathan was a Christian from the south things got bad everyone started Killing him off
Buhari a Muslim from the north things has gotten more worst yet no one has challenged or condemned buhari led mal-administration and so Peeps are thinking Nigeria is one
The South West remains the main problem the Southerners are been pulled backwards the North unite together when it comes to politics but the south can't because of the Yoru-muslim who loves ass licking
things got worst for lazy people like you who fed fat on government funds and now that the funds are no longer there are crying as if everybody is hungry. Things are getting better for the common man on the street who sees the various opportunities provided by this government
Chasing the people that stole money since. Such witch Hunt. Fashola did not steal money(even tho he spent over 80million building a website), Amaechi did not steal money. No politician in APC is a thief. How idiots like you believe such thing tickles my funnybone.
ya papa STFU. You no get sense. Fashola used N80m to design a website so what? Write a petition to the EFCC if you feel he has commited an offence. I usually don't join issues with dullards who think they know all. I am doing it this once. Mr f00l, get this. You cannot hold a Governor liable for any act done during the course of his duty as Governor so long as it is done according to the laws of the land. Even if Fashola use N100b to design a website, it is the state house of assembly that can question the decision and determine if he has commited an offence. Where EFCC comes in is when it is discovered that the money was diverted for personal use. Now in the case of Amaechi, do you have any proof that Amaechi stole money? We have seen various properties of Diezani, PEJ, Saraki etc. We have also seen various bank accounts of the likes of Fayose, FFK, Diezani, PEJ and others. We have never heard or seen that Amaechi owns this or that mansion, company or properties. And this or that account. PDP was in Goverment for 16yrs, they still have the connections. Let them use it to find out Amaechi's accounts. They could have done that prior to handing over to the PDP. Wike is PDP, he has powers to allocate and revoke C of O in Rivers state. Let him use that to find Amaechi's properties. So mr goat, next time get your facts right and stop this silly politics your are doing.
SalamRushdie: God Forbid Bro ...in the early hours of this morning had a revelation concerning PMB and with what I saw I can assure you it's his last tenure
