themosthigh: These yorubas are growing wicked by the day.....they are now killing themselves again....How i wish God didnt create these yoruba people and benin people possessed all those areas...how i wished the plague wiped them out or the portugese shipped them all to americas as slaves....how i wish the fulani jihadists massacred and depoplated the region while enslaving the rest like they did in illorin, then they would have learnt islam and be docile and subjugated like the yorubas of illorin....How i wished the only yoruba hero Afonja lived long enough to hand over the rest of his people to the fulanis so that they will be culturally poluted and made to learn hausa and forget their barbaric way...but another afonja have risen in the name of tinubu and he will do the needful or be betrayed like abiola by our great men of valor Fool! Read your history again before you spill out nonsense... So he "Yoruba" because he is staying in Osun state...Get your facts right before jumping into conclusion(s).. Tribalism will kill you oo! MadCow1: Forensic and Behavioral Analysis:: He is definitely Yoruba by his looks and the fact that he pissed inside a bottle and on the chair. Your moniker says it all...smh...Why don't you focus on providing solution(s) that would enable the police to capture the criminal rather than displaying your rather lack of common sense. PS: That your analysis seems to reflect some certain people from the chest-beating and wailing tribe :p |

Culture › Re: Ex- Military Governor Of Anambra, Pleads With Igbo Parents To Reduce Bride price by enigma2007(m): 9:58am On Apr 30, 2015 |
B69U: Go and marry your yoruba women and let your wife parents foot the bill as it is your yoruba culture.
Afterall, una mama parents paid bride price to your father parents.
Anyhow, they are our women and we love them as they are, go and face your own women and stop disgracing yourself, i don dey feel shame for una. Wrong conception about the Yoruba culture on marriage...Bride's parent do not foot the bills as most people on this forum are saying. The concept is that in the traditional marriage rites, the family of the bride prepares the drinks/drinks/entertainment etc because the assumption is that the husband & his family members are their guests for that particular day. On the other side, the guys family would bring all the required items contained on the wedding list as stipulated by the woman's family (From personal experience, the some of the items on such list are not cheap though the woman's family can reduce the list as they see fit). However, the capable guy can decide to foot the bills of hosting the traditional festivities though some parents do gladly deny such requests because its not done in the Yoruba culture for the guests to foot the entertainment bills when they are clearly the visitors. From what i have seen on this forum, we all need to understand each others culture and appreciate the pros and the cons just like somebody suggested... |
