From my own point of view, a hacker and a spammer are two different entiries, though in the long run, a spammer might come close to doing a hacker's job

Hacking as a work is broad and can be used for variety of legal and illegal activities.. a spammer can never do a real hacker's job though a hacker can use spams as a means of penetrating/compromising a system.
