Jesus was trying to tell us to heavenly minded and not be materialistic.
When you give to the church and the poor, food ,clothes ,shelter for the homeless etc , you are laying up treasures for yourself in heaven.

This is not about soul winning.
When you change the words of God like this , it has it dangerous consequences .
Many pastors are now materialistic because they don't remember this very word of God or they remember but changed it to soothe themselves.

Winning souls is the most important and it includes your soul as well. You cannot be focused on the things of God or be heavenly minded when all you run after is material wealth .

Marriage to Aishat is not as bad as marriage to Zainab, at least she was no man's wife.Although, very bad indeed , but not TOO VERY VERY BAD ( permit me ) like the issue of taking your Son's wife and teaching others to do the same , if they want to.
Muhammed should have showed a good example of a father in-law and settle any misunderstanding and not to break the marriage of his son himself. Was it the sexual strength of 30 men Allah gave him that pushed him to the extent of not recognising his Son's or adopted son's wife ?

When some Jehovah witness first witnessed to me as a Muslim , I was also determined to disgrace and rubbish them.
Truthfully, I knew nothing about Islam other than what the Imams and Alfas used to tell us , buy when the records of Muhammed were revealed , I started to have a change of heart. This same issue of Aishat and how Islam was spread by violence were the beginning for me. I had a friend who knew much more about Islam than I , he tried to answer those questions I asjed and discredit Christianity , the more he tried the more revelations I got . More respect and facts were pointing to Christianity and against Islam.

To cut the whole story short , I don't see why evidences from Quran and hadith can be refuted or overlooked , especially something that has to do with eternal punishment. Islam has a backing of Satan. Facing kabaah and circumbulating it , is nothing but open idolatry , but without prayers you can't know.

For Christians , it is a so to marry more than one wife. Jesus said:

Taking another wife has divided the marriage. God recognises the first wife only. "Two shall become one" not three.

Why not the daughters who slept with their father?

God is love , He doesn't just destroy for every sin. The angels warned Lots' wife and she decided to disobey.These girls were not warned and they felt it was the best option for them to have children.

When God created the first man , Adam, he created only on wife for him. God could have created 2 if it good to have more than one wife.

The fall of Adam in the garden brought about disorderliness. People started doing things their own ways. They worshipped the wrong gods , killed and did many things which were abominable .The first person to marry two wives did so by his own will. He was the descendant of Cain.

To be candid it wasn't Lot's fault. The wife was killed by God due to disobedience when Sodom & Gomorrah was destroyed. Why did the same God spare Lot's daughters when they gave their father wine? God should have known the future and shouldn't have spared the daughters lest they seduce their father with wine.

If God had killed the daughters some people would complain.
Many evil things were done by people of the old and people of nowadays that God did not kill them for . God gives grace and wishes that we repent.

It was Lot's decision to live in a cave not God's.

Lot did not think about the future of his daughters. He should not have lived in a cave with them alone. He had no good plans for his children.

Lot should have lived where there were people , get married to another woman and married his daughters to other men.

The importance of the story of Lot were :

It not good to disrespect the elders especially someone who like a father or mother to you. Abraham was like a father to Lot but Lot did not respect him .
We can learn that it is not good to get drunk.
It shows the importance of respect for other people lives,even if they are your children. He should have thought of the future of his daughters b4 settling down in a solitary cave.
