YouTube Rewind: According to YouTube’s “YouTube Rewind: The Shape of 2017” video, this was a year full of holding hands, dancing and laughter. The recap video was uploaded December 6 and for five minutes, we are taken on an Alice in Wonderland trip.

We start in the galaxy, where the sun and moon are close to overlapping — shaped like the two backward arrows associated with the rewind symbol. “Welcome back to YouTube Rewind,” The Late Show host Stephen Colbert says. “We’ve got two special guests with us. OK, Lele and Liza, tell me about 2017.”

Lele Pons and Liza Koshy (who have approximately 18.8 million YouTube subscribers combined) give each other a look that initiates a compilation of the year’s biggest staples. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” plays in the background as we see Fonsi standing on top of a Manhattan building. He slaps the camera away, which turns it into a fidget spinner that is calibrated to Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.”

CelebritiesNo Do Pass Yourself: Could Kiss Daniel Be Beefing Adekunle Gold? [listen] by enny66(op): 9:35am On Dec 02, 2017
Kiss Daniel vs Adekunle Gold: Nigeria’s singing sensation, Kiss Daniel released his first single since leaving his boyhood label, G-Worldwide. The FlyBoi Incorporated boss debuts with ‘No Do’ as his first single on the new label.

A track that is similar to his usual slow serenading flow where he gave advice on the usual habit of doing more than oneself. ‘No go dey do pass yourself’.

We noticed Kiss Daniel mentioned the name of fellow singer, Adekunle Gold in the track referring to the singer as doing pass himself.

It takes an attentive listening to notice this subtle jab on the track as Kiss delivered yet another potential hit.

What could have warranted the mention of Adekunle Gold’s name on the track? Is Adekunle Gold doing pass himself? Was there an encounter between the duo we never noticed? Will Adekunle Gold reply? Time will answer these questions but in the meantime, lets vibe to this and notice the subtle jab.

PhonesTecno Phantom 8 Vs Infinix Zero 5 – Which Should You Buy? by enny66(op): 6:54pm On Nov 27, 2017
When thinking of mid-range mobile phones in the Nigerian market, two brand names come to mind – Infinix and Tecno mobile. These two mobile phone manufacturers have consistently rolled out high quality and totally sophisticated devices over the past couple of years – little wonder these brands have the highest acceptance rates in the Nigerian market.
This year, both brands released revolutionary flagships preceded by great media buzz and marketing campaigns. Tecno Phantom 8 was released at a glamorous unveiling gala in Dubai last October. The device raised the bar so high; it scored Tecno so many points one could almost say the competition had been determined. However, Infinity mobile – makers of the Infinix brand – would not be outdone. They quickly announced the release of their latest flagship Infinix zero 5 with enticing specifications and sleek design.
We take a look at these two very different yet similar products from two of Nigeria’s most loved mobile phone brands.
Design: Tecno Phantom 8 vs Infinix Zero 5
The “Diamond Fire” design on Tecno Phantom 8 delivers a glossy 3D glow which gives it an allure of the extraordinary. The Phantom 8 comes in 3 back cover colors- Champagne Gold, Black and Galaxy Blue. At 159.9mm by 79.5mm by 7.9mm, this beautiful work of art fits effortlessly into the palms, thereby giving it a very personal feel. The home key located in the front is flanked by two basic navigation keys. Also, the fingerprint sensor is situated at the back of the phone just beneath the cameras for easy access. The Phantom 8 by Tecno is “beautifully and wonderfully made”.
The Infinix zero 5 comes at 6 inches with narrow but visible bezels and a polished plastic back cover. There is a wide range of colours to pick from. Considering this phone is, it rather hard to speculate on its design, as the manufacturers have only been teasing the public with sneak peeks of the device.
However, considering previous efforts by Infinix in previous Zero models, it is hard to see how this device beats the Phantom 8 when it comes to design.
Camera: Tecno Phantom 8 vs Infinix Zero 5
One of the many things Tecno should get applause for on this Phantom 8 device is the camera technology. The powerful dual camera lens mounted at the back of the device work in tandem to create absolutely fantastic images.
Featuring a 12-megapixel Sony wide-angle sensor combined with a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor capable of 10x super digital zoom, photographs taken using the Phantom 8 have this professional feel that even the photo-centric Camon series cannot produce. The front camera features a whopping 20-megapixel which combined with the bright LED flash gives great pictures even in low-light conditions.
In following market trends, Infinix have also included the dual camera technology on their soon to be released flagship. Phones in the Infinix zero series are renowned for their camera quality, and there is much to look forward to in the Infinix 5’s camera technology combining two powerful 12-megapixels and 13-megapixels lenses. The front camera also features a 16-megapixel camera lens which will no doubt deliver life-like images.
Software and Processor: Tecno Phantom 8 vs Infinix Zero 5
The Tecno Phantom 8 runs the versatile Android 7.0 Nougat software. The Octa-core Mediatek Helio processor clocks at 2.6GHz. This means up to 80 apps can run simultaneously without lag or interference. With the massive 6GB RAM, users can take full advantage of the advanced multi-tasking capabilities of the Android 7.0 Nougat software.
In Infinix zero 5, the manufacturers have chosen to replace the XOS Chameleon – the custom user interface for Infinix mobile – with the latest XOS Hummingbird v3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. This is sure to produce a very interesting user experience. This device is also expected to feature a 2.3GHz Octa-core processor driven by 6GB of RAM to deliver a welcome effect of great speed and seamless multitasking.
Storage and Memory Space: Tecno Phantom 8 vs Infinix Zero 5
A major complaint about these two brands has always been about the size of the storage space available to users. In these latest flagships, the two brands have addressed this major concern by providing ample storage space for audio, video and image files and other documents on their mobile devices.
Tecno Phantom 8 comes with 64GB of internal storage space, which is expandable using memory cards, while the Infinix zero 5 comes with a whopping 128GB – making it the largest ever on any Infinix device.
Price: Tecno Phantom 8 vs Infinix Zero 5
You can pick up your Tecno Phantom 8 for ₦135,000 - ₦150,000, while the Infinix zero 5 can be obtained for between ₦115,000 - ₦130,000 only depending on location of purchase.

This is not to disregard the awesomeness of the Infinix zero 5, but the pedigree of the Phantom series by Tecno is strong. In terms of performance and style, the Tecno mobile has gotten it all right in their latest flagship, the Phantom 8.
