Foreign AffairsRe: Spain Joins Italy In Deploying Navy Vessel To Aid Gaza Flotilla by epainos: 7:49am On Sep 25, 2025
Spain, Italy, and other NATO members are jokers. Lol. Noise makers. The US is NATO. Period! If Israel lands a bomb on their effort and kill their men, they'll do nothing. Rather, they will crawl to NATO assembly, and Trump will rule them out diplomatically. Just like how some members made mouth against Russia, and pushed Biden to go fully against Russia. Instead, they kept buying oil from Russia. grin Now, Trump has told them to all quit buying Russia's oil and gas. Will they? Empty people....just go dey make noise anyhow...when action time reach, dem go fold arms. Na only weak nations dem dey use flex power. Na only Africa be dem scape goats.

Onegai:
I agree with so much of what you've said, save for the parts above.

I have a degree and work experience in Environmental Engineering. Lagos, NY, Venice and a lot of coastal cities are sinking. smiley
The fear of losing Lagos used to make my heart race, but now....nay. lol.

It is good to know you are an expert in the field. You will chop money soon. Yes, the cities you mentioned are predicted, but what science has recently accomplished is far beyond expectations.

I have started taking Sustainability Management courses, and when I read about the options and potential solutions that may exist in the near future, I tell myself that it will take God to flood this world with water again. But my heart remains still because I know God will not do it again when I see a rainbow.

I do not dispute your concern, and I do not have any solutions that can provide us with 90% or more assurance, but given how far humanity has progressed with AI, it no longer appears plausible. The Netherlands is also making significant progress in this area, with numerous breakthroughs. I believe you understand me.

In my lifetime, we went from having to trek from VI to reach Bar Beach to literally driving on it. My kids will see more coastal erosion. But they will do their best to reclaim land and protect VI.
Hahahahha.....madam.
Hahahaahah! My father told me that back then, they walked across Broad Street in Lagos and straight into the water. Lol.

The area around Dangote's refinery will be a mess. A lot of the land around there should be rice paddies (aka only build if you have millions to spend on a Raft Foundation. And I mean millions).
The real definition is "rice paddies". I am an agricultural person. In addition to sustainability management, I am serious about soil science. But its the biology aspect. Soil biology is something I take seriously, and I completely understand you.

My hope is that we elect a governor who can shift the focus of building construction away from the island and toward the mainland. If we get a good governor, the entire Lagos Mainland can be transformed into a haven for wealthy people.

Weirdly, I do agree that for some crazy reason, there's a lot of investment in Lagos that makes no sense: pricey international private school franchises are moving here. And schools price themselves according to their locale. So they must be expecting an influx of $$ millionaires soon.
Hahaha. I did not understand it either until a friend who is good with data analytics showed me that there are a reasonable number of Lagosians willing to spend so much. I am not sure how to explain it, but when I saw his research on the number of Nigerians who travel weekly or twice a month from the UK to Nigeria and vice versa, I told myself that any high-end business can be established in Lagos if properly planned and potential customers are identified. Many wealthy parents cannot afford to pick up their children from school again; they can only afford to drop them off.

Nigeria's population is skyrocketing. Yes, we have many poor people, but if I say 0.5% of Lagosians can spend, that means approximately 150,000 people can spend in any way. It is a lot. What if 50% of these Lagosians live from Ikoyi to Lekki Phase 1? If we assume that 20% of these 50% are married with children, we should have 15,000 potential clients. Three of these high-priced schools can be located in the area and do exceptionally well. Some people who are not in the category will still place their children there, adding to the total.

A densely populated area provides limitless opportunities, so I do not argue with anyone about such topics.

Thank you very much for your comment.

Gerrard59:
Alaro and Isimi exist. Or don't they fit your dreams? Please, what is your opinion on Lakowe Estate?
Yes. A resounding yes. The golf course in Lakowe makes it so attractive.

If I have something there in any of these three places, it will be for a place I can live in the next 10 years or rent out. For now, the areas are still new and I will have to struggle to get people visit me. Lol. I love people visit me. My place is always busy every Sunday because I entertain guests. I love it. Before choosing Eko Atlantic, I had a deep thought bro. But these places are good spots, and I will research them better.

Another issue for me again is that refinery in the area. I will make sure that I can have good air in the area before moving there. But I know if I must get something there, it has to be now also before dem jack up prices. Lol. So, thank you very much for the correction. Thanks.

Lagos does not need expanded road networks when those lands could be used for commercial purposes. What Lagos needs to ameliorate its housing issue are:
- A metro system criss-crossing the state down to Ogun and Oyo states.
- High rises like the ones in Hong Kong and Singapore ( Half of those high rises should be public housing.
- The Nigerian economy should be diversified: https://www.nairaland.com/7971370/house-rent-country-nothing-write/8#127995947

The metro is the most important aspect as not everyone can work and live in Lagos as a state. Some people should live in Ogun and Oyo states, but be able to move to work in Lagos on a daily basis.
The metro system is beginning to take shape, and it will be a continuous development. So, I am happy we have started.

You mentioned in the quote below that Lagos needs high rise which I wrote about too. But I don't think the kind of road we have are good enough for a first class city. If they can find a way around it, at least, pedestrians/cyclists roads should be in almost everywhere. Ha ba! So, regardless of how you see it, there is need for expansion. But I agree that with a good architectural readjustment, they may not be very wide roads. We need extra lanes for people to walk, disable to move freely, cyclists to ride, ...skating...etc. Then underground channels and cables can be effectively done.

Yes, the world would not sit by and allow Lagos to sink, but high rise buildings are the way forward. Lagos needs to build up, upper and uppest. Low level buildings in Nigeria's smallest state with the biggest economy yet, is the most populous is very unsustainable. Reclaiming land won't solve the issue.
We will still reclaim more land, but not now. cheesy Ogun dey vex us ....lol. so, make we go the Atlantic ocean route. Hehe hehe. YEAH...I know it won't be now. We need to go the high rise route first. Maybe in the next 100 years...who knows? Maybe. This is why I pray that pepper lands my hand. An apartment in Eko Atalantic is huge for me. It is an opportunity to grab which may never come again, or will surface in 100 years again.

Mountbatten:
So what are the decent areas in Surulere? I'll be leaving Lekki year end.
I have written about this issue before, but let me just summarise it. I think it isn't easy to get rented apartments in Surulere like Lekki, but not impossible.

If you want to start, enter Surelere from Bode Thomas at Western avenue (Iponri to be precised) when driving from Stadium down to Iponri. Move down to Adeniran Ogunsanya and start browsing. Anywhere around the place is good. Shop rite, Spar, Samsung, 3 GTB banks, Access, and many other banks are there. All the adjacent streets to Bode Thomas and Adeniran Ogunsanya are very good. Then, the whole of Masha side. I love the adjacent streets to the main roads. Move down to my favorite street - Ogunlana drive. I love that area. Target adjacent streets because medium scale businesses and banks always buy or rent houses in Surulere's major streets. Check out from Ogunlana drive as if you want to move to Ojuelegba. That's all for that side. If you want to check the inner section of Surulere with cheap housing estates that I don't want to live, instead of driving toward Ojuelegba from Ogunlana drive, Move towards the other side. As you move inside, you get to meet lower end of Surulere. Also, you can consider Idiaraba (anywhere before or just after Lagos University Teaching Hospital LUTH). I wouldn't go inner. Another area to check which I somehow love - either enter from Costain (a bit congested with traffic but always moving since Lagos State is always trying to make sure the BRT buses move without delay from the area. Drive down to Eric Moore (do not go to Ijora) and enter Bode Thomas again...or connect to Masha. You may want to enter Aguda from this area, but I wouldn't go too deep. Remember, pick adjacent streets to the main roads only for good houses.

My favorite spot in Surulere is the other side of Iponri and many don't know this place. I would check this area first because it is so quiet. It is the side of National Stadium. As soon as you drive down Cater bridge in Alaka as if you are going to the National Stadium, enter the first street by your right, adjacent to Western Avenue at Alaka. You will be shocked that the streets are so quiet and very decent houses are there. The area is right beside or at the back of the National Stadium. That spot is so quiet. But as soon as you start driving towards Yaba...na noise for me.

People say Aguda is center, but mehn...Surulere is the center for me oooo. Push up Carter bridge, and you are on the Island. Also, push towards Costain and Eric Moore...you jetting towards LASU (Lagos State University) ...to Badagry be that. From the same Surulere via Costain, you don land Oyingbo be that. And the new bridge there, you can easily access the whole of Ebute Metta, Sabo, WAEC, navigate it to UNILAG. See something interesting is going to happen around that area. I will talk about it at the later path of this post.

Now, from Surulere, you can easily get to Tejuosho. Lol. Wetin you wan buy and you no go find in Oyingbo and Tejusho? Tell me na.

This is not Surulere... I want to mention a place in Lagos I am eyeing which is under construction. I am buying a building there if they make it open to the public. Driving towards the Mainland on Cater bridge when you are getting towards the National Stadium, look by your left and you will see massive construction going on there. The place used to be a slump called "ilaje". Dem don destroy everything. Just drive down Cater bridge using Costain exit and turn towards apapa Rd. You will enter the place from Brickfield street. That place is close to the lagoon which is a good spot. Mind you, Lagos State is also sand filling oko-baba sawmill down to third mainland bridge. As in, we will be touching thirdmainland bridge very soon that is on water. Lol. These areas are all connected to one another.

Everything I am doing revolves around this area, and I avoid anything Island. The year I left Island was the year I promised myself to cut off finally. My journey ends in Ikoyi. Shikena. I only drive through Lekki when going to Epe to check some farms there, and I check my Google map before moving.

Good luck sir!

Small Pikin dem Dey know .

Lagos this , Lagos that.

With the useless people parading themselves as government?

Even the coastal road they are building in 2025, they didn’t make arrangements for drainage until water started washing off the side of the construction.

We don’t have seasoned engineers or architects in Nigeria.

It will only get worse.

Lagos won’t compare with any good city even in Africa in the next 500 years.
I intentionally bolded the part above in your response to my previous post which I didn't ask you for. Lol. Anyway, people who make wealth see the goodness in Nigerian engineers just like how Dangote said recently that they made the best engineers when he was building his refinery. Lol. Na failure you dey see, but I see success.

I have response to other issues, but there is no point because you can't understand them. Making wealth is for people who can see wealth.

Good luck with that.

What Emefiele or emewerey did not realise is that he lost an opportunity to create a legacy for himself. We are still praising Prof Soludo till date, and Cardaso is about setting up a new benchmark for our banking system. It is good to have focus. It is good to think of achieving good that will be our legacies. Emewerey is the loser.

TravelRe: Massive Floods In Lekki, Lagos (Videos) by epainos: 9:49am On Sep 24, 2025
I always laugh when I hear about buying a house in Lekki because there is an airport, a free trade zone, Dangote Airport, and so on. It is not a bad idea to have a commercial property there. If you have a residential property, target workers in the surrounding area. So, no matter how you look at it, the location is not a loss if you are prudent. However, I cannot live in Lekki and will not conduct business in the area unless I want to rent out apartments or hotels. Anything other than Lekki real estate is off the table for me.

It is true that wealthy men are leaving the area quickly. The ones who will not leave easily are in phase 1. I suppose they can always withstand a one to two-month flood every year. cheesy

Following this ordeal, Eko Atlantic will attract more investors...lol. I am sure that some of the people who own houses worth more than a billion naira will consider purchasing three to five-bedroom apartments in one of Eko Atlantic's high-rise buildings. This will be a smart move. Eko Atlantic is designed to physically push the Atlantic Ocean back from interfering with V/I. The entire Ahmadu Bello to Akin Adesola area used to be flooded due to ocean overflow, but that is no longer the case with Eko Atlantic.

The only places I can live on the island are Ikoyi and Eko Atlantic, but as I previously stated, I can rent apartments anywhere on the island. If you have been following my thread, you will know that Suruleru is my favorite area in Lagos. Gbagada is not bad either, but I still prefer Surulere (not the attached fake Surulere called Ijesha and further down....even the extreme Aguda near those dirty places is not Surulere on my map). I have written about this several times.

I actually have a plan. Honestly, I am putting it out there as a seed of faith. I plan to build a new town along the Lagos-Calabar and Lagos-Sokoto highways, which are close to Lagos. Clear a minimum of 500 to 1,000 ha and convert it into a new town. VI is not up to 600 ha, while Eko Atlantic is 1,000 ha. I will not go into detail, but it will house extremely wealthy Nigerians while also creating opportunities for high-income earners. Poverty will not exist near it. And maybe we can have two of these towns, or maybe the government will appreciate my work and ask me to build more. Who knows?

On a serious note, if I were governor, my priority would be to demolish many buildings on the Lagos Mainland (Ebute Metta, Alagomeji, and Yaba) and replace them with high-rises, expanded road networks, and a good drainage system similar to the one along Herbert Marcaulay. In addition, all flyovers will be removed so that underground crossroads can be built throughout the district, complete with mini business centers and shops.

I do not think Lagos will sink as predicted because we have super brains who will not let it happen. When the treat becomes a reality, the entire world will come to the aid of cities facing similar problems. Rather, we will reclaim more land from the Atlantic Ocean for Lagos. A beg talk another thing. This is why I avoid buying overpriced properties in Lekki and Ajah. Ajah near the Dangote refinery should be well planned; otherwise, it will be a dumping ground in thirty years. If properly planned, that area will become the next Ikeja. It will be even better because it will combine Apapa and Ikeja (sea and air ports).

Lagos represents the future. Trust me when I say this. This is the city that many foreigners will flee to. In the next 50 years, Lagos will be completely covered in high-rise buildings.

So, for our generation, let us simply enjoy what we have.

God bless!
CelebritiesRe: Sisi Oyibo Says She Is From Lagos, Sparks Heated Debates by epainos: 4:31pm On Sep 23, 2025
This oyinbo is a real Lagosian. Her accent sef is clean. If dem give you only audio, you can never predict that na oyinbo dey speak. It is very hard to see a Nigerian who speak another native language or even pigin without having accent issue. A yoruba man's speaks Hausa or Igbo with accent....and it applies to all. When hausa speaks pigin, you will know...likewise Igbo or Yoruba. But you cannot place this oyinbo anywhere other than say, this na proper Pidgin English without accent. Her pidgin is on another level. grin

Many oyinbo will soon start claiming Nigeria starting from Indians, Chinese, Lebanese. Mark my words. They will say they are Nigerian first very soon. And then, British, Italian, Americans will follow.

Just don't worry...Blacks in other nations will soon start pressing the Nigerian government to give them pali (Naija passport) as soon as their DNA results show they are from Nigeria. Someone like TD Jakes would soon say...hey...I'm Igbo because my DNA shows I am. So, I want my pali. grin Don't worry...it will get to that stage soon.

Why? Nigeria is about becoming a powerful nation.

But I don't see her like this. I don't see the unity tight. Regionally, we will be divided economically , but it will be smart to still claim one Nigeria. Or maybe south will go its ways and then north. But I don't see us divided regionally into new nations anymore, though, I used to share this view. It will not benefit us to split into new nations regionally.

We may be the same nation or maybe all south and all north, but each region based of the majoritybofnthe tribe there will control the economic and politics of each regions. This is how we can break.

Then, maybe after another century, we can then unite again because the whole tribal thing would have collapsed and then states of residence will be used instead of states of origin.

Let me say something strange here. If you are wise, position yourself to live very long because we will soon be living 1,000 years. So, what I am saying may be experienced by few of us who positioned themselves to live for 200 years and above. I have discussed this issue with some people, and they were like.....waoooo!
FamilyRe: My Elder Sister Has Cut All Of Us Off - What Can I Do? by epainos: 12:51pm On Sep 23, 2025
Beerbeer,

I noticed you are more connected to Onegai. While I like her approach, I prefer that you do not commit yourself to your sister's hand. Never do it. Please don't. I am talking from personal experience. Do not...I repeat. Read my comments. Onegai is also free to make comments.

Onegai:
Beerbeer, do you have your elder sister's email?

If you do, please send her this:

"Dear Sis, how are you?

I wanted to see how you're doing. We're fine here.

Please, may I say how sorry I am for what happened between us? I should have informed you of my success, after all, you encouraged me to go into Tech. You probably also prayed for me. You've done so much for me, for us as a family since Mumsi passed away. And I can never repay you.

And I know I should have done better. I'm so sorry.
The above is wisdom.

Please, sis, can I take the burden off you a little by (insert your younger sisters names here) handling their allowance? You can't do this on your own and I want to see you, my sister, happy and enjoying her hard work. God know, Nigeria is very hard nowadays. Let me help.
Do not commit ooooo. I would prefer it if you just said you are willing to help, but do not commit to anything in your email just yet. What if you are unable to cope? I have learned something...let me share.

Some years ago, one of my siblings told me that another had told her that "giving is a gift." I was like, "Really?" And as time passed, I realized that I am a natural giver...and that others cannot be like me. So, I can go to extremes, but if I expect others to do the same, I am setting a standard that they will not meet. And this will be a bigger problem.

So, your sister is like me. She is willing to go to extreme measures for you all. So all I can do is pray for her to mature to the point where she understands that not everyone can be like her. Period.

If you make a commitment and then fail to keep it, you are in trouble. You will also have a larger issue with your sister, which you want to start paying for. Two sisters will hate you later.. The Bibel says that you must make sure you vsn complete a building before you commit to it.

Someone once said that eldest sisters are your 2nd mother and in you, I find that to be true.

If you don't wish to reply this, I will understand. I will always love you, no matter what.

Please take good care of yourself.

Warm regards,
Beerbeer"
Lovely ending. I love this. Give her time. Time heals wounds. She is irate over something. She will come to terms with herself.

And the next job you get, give her 1/4 of what you earn, and let her be the first to know, via email. Even if she doesn't reply.
I do not subscribe to this. Nope. Rather, buy her a gift. Something good. It doesn't have to be up to 1/4 of what you earn. Nope. Just buy her something nice.

And when she eventually unblocks you, make it a monthly habit to credit her phone with like N10k.
I do not subscribe to this also. Just be yourself. Is she someone who uses data or calls so much? You know her well. Even if she is, make sure you want to continue and can continue for a very long time oooo. Otherwise, you are in trouble. One day you will marry oooo. When your spouse start giving you one kind eye, can you manage it? Long term commitment is strong bro. People like your sister are rare. I am like her, which is why I can tell you that if you are not born to be like that, you will eat yourself from the inside out while faking it and struggling to keep up.

It's not about the money, it's the thought that counts. It's very hard to be a provider and people like being appreciated. You didn't appreciate her and she's deeply hurt. And you're selfishly expecting her to get over it and be happy for you. Sure, forgiveness is always good, but you too, shake bodi with repentance.
Exactly. It is not about the money. You must be yourself and do what you know you are designed to do. It is easier to take than to give, but it is wiser and more rewarding to give more. However, only a few people are capable of doing so because humans are not biologically predisposed to it.

Bro, when I tell people to make the Holy Spirit their best friend, I know what I am saying. Grace is what you need.

What You Should Do
1. Take a careful look at the areas I strongly advise you to reconsider before proceeding with the above.
2. I prefer that you sit down and plan out what you know you can commit to, and then get started.
3. My concern is that your sister should not feel entitled to dictate how you spend your money. She has no right to do that. For example, dictating the amount you give each month. She has no right. I pray she grows beyond that. You can both agree to an amount you give monthly, but dictating such amount is where I find it wrong.
4. If she calls you back and starts dictating, do not resist at first immediately. Do it the first month. Maybe the second also. If you believe you are sacrificing too much, call her in the third month and have a heart-to-heart conversation with her. Let her know you value her more because you see how difficult it is, but she has the grace to persevere. Ask for excuses in style and tell her that "sister.....I tuale for you ooo....a don dey do this thing...and it is hard oooo." A beg....a go bail out small cos of this reason...that reason...that reason.
5. Chances are that after 4 above, she may burst into laughter and even knock you on your head. And you both laugh over it. And being the person she is (if she is that real free giver), she will understand with you.
6. 5 above can lead to the two of you getting closer. She may even tell you to help her with achieving her dreams too. People like her may just be sacrificing and not go after their dreams. That's where you also come in. You balance it for her. But I am.not saying ypu manipulate your ways out by planning to do this when you know she might not be the type. I am just making general comments here.
7. READ THIS IN CAPS. IF YOU CAN BE HER AND YOU KNOW YOU CAN FOR A LONG PERIOD WITHOUT FEELING A SENSE TO STOP, WHY NOT? BUT DO NOT LET THIS PERIOD MAKE YOU DO WHAT YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT WIRED TO DO NATURALLY.
8. Giving is a gift itself. Those who have been blessed with a gift can freely give.
9. Guy...you sef get a strong heart oooo. Chai. You bone out your twin brother. grin Say werin. If a be your papa, a go handle you tight. No stress...I would. Perhaps this is the real reason your sister is so angry, and she is showing your big mistake. You gave even your step mother something but cut out your own twin brother. Chai. When he should be the first to get. You funny ooo. I think this has to do more with your dad.
10. You should be able to naturally commit to your twin brother na. If you can't, I may even see you that you need help. While I don't want to dictate to you, I can say that it will be easier for you to commit more to your twin than your younger sister. I believe your sister is pointing your attention to something by paying only your twin brother. She may not be angry with the whole family cos she knows they won't easily breakdown. And she might want to know who you are. But for her to be giving your twin N100k per month, that area is what she might be looking at. She might be angry with your dad also for not pointing your attention to it. Your papa sef na waooo. He just collected money without asking about your bro. Naturally, the next thing is to ask about him. He is your blood mehn. That kind of blood is thicker than that you share with others.

Good luck!

So you would prefer to watch millions suffer and die just so you can be in your hideout , may i also inform you that prying into peoples mind is in fact an issue of eroding one free will
At the point you saw evil in Hi.tler when he was young, it was potential. There are many people with even more powerful evil potential than Hitler, but turned out to be good. Some with such e..vil mind are taking care by nature because they d..ie young. There are many psych..opaths in this world, and there is a way nature deals with them.

Let's say you were in the world when Hitler was a kid, and you saw he is e..vil but decided to wait till he grew old. You were in this world na. He didn't just start the war in a day. The news spread round the whole world. Before he started his evil, you would have heard, and then, that is when it is justified to monitor him with the power. If you started monitoring him at that stage, you could still prevent him from doing evil. The difference is that you are ev..il to the extent that you cut him off when he was young without giving him the chance to pass through life and see if some goodness can make him change. I would wait till evi..l fully matured in him before using the power to subdue him. That's the difference.

Mind you, such case is rare, and we don't hear of many Hitlers daily, but we know we have so many potentials who could become him on daily basis.

I am going to advise you to watch some Psyc..hopath movies. There is one Kdrama called "Beyond Evil". Go check it out.

You all think its about you and what you can do. I am proud of the path I take on this question, If i had the power i would seek control. Everything every institute , every form of academic pursuit or so called idea behind purposeful living is a form of control.
You are purely evil, and thanks to God almighty that you can't control people.

What you see
What you hear
What you feel
What you do

You want to live a peaceful life avoiding all the mouse traps life throws at you, thats your one piece of reality.

Real people who understand the consequences of sitting idle and only caring about what you want take a stance.
You were the one who wrote earlier that knowing the mind alone is too much work than controlling because you have to keep checking. Yet, you are turning it around here.

There is a reason we have ethics of professions, if not, genetical engineers would have killed us all.

See...Read this and digest it well:

Self-control is what is needed, and that is knowing when to stop reading minds. However, Cont..rolling people is ev..il ..there is no way you can justify it.

You are really surprising shall..honestly i want to believe you are just trolling.

Like who in their right mindset
I have written about Ifa corpus earlier, and this is the reason ifa priests do not release the details easily. Someone like you is dang..erous. You are pur..ely ev..il.

You don't even understand that reading minds is knowledge, and that is the greatest gift anyone can possess. That is the gift God gave Solomon, and it was the reason he could write poems about nature and animals. It is called knowledge. And with it, one can control. This has been what I have been trying to say. With self-control, you are able to use such power well. This is the main reason knowledge is hidden from people and only released to individuals who passed the ultimate test. What is the ultimate test? Self-control.

You are so e..vil that you want to use mind reading to co..ntrol and that is exactly what nature frowns against. You are ev..il saying that reading mind is nothing....mainwhile controlling is reading minds itself. Everyone who controls, reads minds, but not everyone who read minds, control people...not because they cannot do it, but they have self-control.

Self-control is what you lack and that is exactly why you don't qual..ify to have such power.

WriterX:
If you think about it, mind reading only gives you access to information. You know what someone feels, what they plan, maybe even if they’re lying to you. That’s useful, yes — but it’s passive. It doesn’t change the outcome. Knowing that someone plans to betray you tomorrow doesn’t stop them; it just lets you prepare or walk away. It’s like watching a storm coming on the weather channel — you can grab an umbrella, but you can’t stop the rain.

Control, on the other hand, changes reality instantly. If you can control someone, you don’t need to know their motives, their loyalties, or their fears. You can bend their actions to match your goals. That’s why, in stories like X-Men, whenever Professor X is being manipulated or controlled, it’s so terrifying. It’s not the fact that his thoughts are being read that’s dangerous — it’s that someone else is steering his will, using his power against the world. Reading his mind is knowledge; controlling him is apocalypse.

Even in everyday life, information without influence is limited. Imagine you’re in a negotiation. Reading the other side’s mind lets you know their bottom line, but you still have to persuade them, bargain, and hope they don’t change their mind. Control skips the whole dance — you make them sign the deal right there. It’s the difference between knowing the lock combination and simply having the master key.

Of course, this also explains why control is more feared, and yes, more “evil.” Because while mind reading leaves people their freedom, control strips it away. But if the question is strictly about power, about which ability actually shifts outcomes in your favor, then control is unquestionably stronger.
Jeez! Even God who created us gives us "free will", but you are here still saying control is the main thing.

Jeez! Even with the explanation, that control which you regarded as evil is what you are still laying emphasizes on. It is why I said that this world is finished. The real intention of man is to control.

Would you be happy if you are among the ones controlled? But in the real sense, you are among.

Reading minds equips you to react. Control lets you decide.
Why do you want to make decision for the person? For what exactly? It is ev..il. If you still desire it, mehn...it means are actually ev..il just that you don't have the tool to be yet. This is why I do not pity Nigeria. Even the beggars in the streets have ev..il in them such that if they were elevated to Aso Rock, they would never clean the gutter they came out from, but continue and even do wo..rse than the previous previous who never experienced gutte..rs like the one he experienced.

I am just letting you know that ...man...choose good over evil.

This choice is exactly what brought death. What is even the choice: it is the knowledge of good and evil which is mind reading. Mind reading itself is contro..lling, but you can choose to control with it or not. But you don't even want to go through the process of finding easy ways to use it to control, you want the power to arrest the will of your victims on the spot. You people are more ev..il than Eve grin

Even now, we don't have the power to read mind, but we can tap into hearing from the person with such power. Those who tap into such are extremely useful. Funny that those who don't have anything but imitate those who hear manipulate people. Meaning that people who had nothing still find their ways to still control and manipulate some weak individuals.

So May I ask You, If you knew Adolf Hitler Was going to become a terror and murder so many people and cause a world war would it have stopped millions of families from been massacred or would just a word from you change the history? Think about it and make peace with your answer. Have a great day!
Must you st..op Ado..lf at that particular point you know him as a child? You could choose to leave him, and when you heard about him again, you would then act. Why? You are now sure he would do re..al e..vil. In such case, you then must use the power to monit..or him and sto..p him. This isn't evil but choosing to use your power rightly. This is the few exception you can use to po..wer to subd..ue him. But you want to eradi..cate him immediately you notice he has the potential of being evi. l when he was small? Was he e..vil then already? Do you know the number of people who have the potential of becoming evil right from the day they were born, and yet they become good?

This is one of the reasons it is dangerous. You would make irrational decisions. You are an instant jud..ge using potentials. You are like the people who support abortion. You don't even give life a chance at all. Do you know that humans who abo..rt are evil more e..vil. They even empower girls who just feel like not respo..nsible to take care of life the po..wer to era..dicate it. And they keep promoting the act of bringing life. Is that not evil?

See, I am tired. He who desires ev..il will not change. Contro..lling people is your choice, but thank God you can't have it.

Bless you!

Mind reading is not going to work as you think it is. First there is always conflict of what one thinks about. There are no certainty, because one is thinking doesnt mean they would do it. Plus mind reading varies as a sort of super power. You can have like professor X telepathy or shin from sakamoto.

Imagine you have to be monitoring the person constantly to know what they are doing so they dont change their mind and do something else. Oh well, its up for debate
Everything you do, you process it in your mind. What you process there first might not be what you do. When you understand this, you should be able to understand why it is powerful.

That you read the mind of people doesn't mean you want to control them. What many of you want is to control people. But when you know their mind, you can position yourself to avoid being hurt. Why do you need to control people? For what exactly? That is the extent of the wickedness of the heart. You can avoid evil people cos you can read them. You can approach faithful people because you can spot them. You can know who buys into your ideas and who doesn't. Go to people who buy into them. Why do you need to manipulate and control who don't? You can easily spot the woman who truly loves you if you can read her. Why do you need to control the one who doesn't love you? That's evil. And that evil is what many want.

This thread has restated the fact that we are at the end time. Just imagine. They want the power to control people. Chai! These people would do worse than Abacha, Idiamin, and Hitler.

To answer your real concern about mind reading, you do not need to monitor anyone. If you use your mind reading to monitor, you want to control the person. It means what you really want is to control them. You don't need to. Once the person's align with what you want to do, go ahead. If the person changes his/her mind, you will know. Them, you just play dummy and watch the foo.lishness of that person. You'll just be smiling. You know you can control or manipulate the person, but you just smile....what next? Cut the person off. There are over 2 billion people on earth that you can quickly find a replacement. Let the evil person go his way. But manipulating the person and bending the person's will to favor you is a greater evil.

This is what the Holy Spirit does. He reads other people's mind and tells you what to do. But you see those juju people, they go into the spirit realm to control people. Controling people is witchcraft. Many strong people have the power. And many people travel in the spirit too.

What do you think people who consult ifa want? Has OBJ ever lost any election? Has Bola Tinubu ever lost too? When OBJ was the president, was he able to win Tinubu? And was Tinubu also able to knock OBJ out? Was OBJ able to stop Tinubu from becoming the president like he stopped Atiku? Both OBJ and Tinubu are grand ifa priests. Dem rank there sef will be higher than Ooni of Ife with the way these baba operate. Dem be manipulators. But when you meet someone filled with the Holy Spirit, that person will tell you your mind if you are a calm person. But if you are a manip.ulat.or, they will just be smiling at you. You sre going to think you can m.anip.ulate, but they will just checkmate you and walk away. Na you go dey fig..ht yourself say your ego was pl.aye.d with. It really is heartbreaking to contemplate those billions of dollars in revenue that Nigeria could accrue simply by legalizing and TAXING cannabis cultivation for medical export, just as is now done in Lesotho, South Africa, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and now, Ghana, attracting vast sums in international investment literally overnight.
Well, it is going to be a tough one to start medical cannabis. Na big man's game....and Most of these guys doing it presently aren't big to that stage. And I believe they won't want to do the CBD aspect. Because the guidelines are too strict, pharmaceutical behemoths and extremely wealthy individuals can pull it off. Just for only Kano?

Any heavy weight will keep drawing Kwakwanso closer without over promising. Would he accept a ministerial position like Wike? I doubt it. He wants to become the V.P. which is very impossible. But Wike is smart to accept the FCT. I am only making comments on their bargaining power and ideology, and not if what they are doing is right or wrong.

He is an engineer with a phd degree, but his efficiency is not that solid. Wike and Umahi are very good with projects, and it's why they can easily fit into the positions they are holding presently. As an engineer, Kwankwaso should hold such likely positions too, but to me, he didn't do well as a governor in projects. And he isn't a diplomat to work in the foreign affairs. He doesn't even know much about finance and economics. Tinubu cannot afford to replace Olubunmi of the internal affairs. So, I really don't know where this man will fit in.

Will anyone trade the V.P. position for only Kano? Ask Atiku, and he will tell you the benefits of having an Obi he replaced with Okowa without much value. cheesy But it's better to have Okowa than Wike in my opinion. Wike will scatter the whole administration, and will tell the president he dare not sack him...and dem no born the president well to sack him as long as he don collect something. cheesy Only smart ppl like Tinubu can tame Wike. Lol. Just give him that space he wants and he wont disturb you. Lol. I think in that sense Wike is easy to deal with. As soon as he accepts the deal, he won't ask for more. But if he give him lesser than what you both agreed on, he will give you wotowoto. grin

Benefits and dividends of privatisation are what we are seeing.

Assume Dangote is not wealthy enough to quickly import trucks to deliver his gas to fuel stations, he would have received rough treatment. Mehn! Na waooo.

Look at the battles he has won:
1. Subvert the process of obtaining a license to begin operations at the refinery.
2. High billing by ex Ogun gov. .Amosun. Baba japa. Then Tinubu quickly accepted him...and made everything almost affordable for him before the Ogun man awoke.
3. Following completion, marketers started.
4. Raised funds to purchase trucks to boycott marketers.
5. They wanted to use NUPENG. Tinubu stepped in.
6. After all of their tactics failed, I suppose they wanted to use oil retailing companies. Then Baba warned them that if they make a mess, he will buy Mobil, Oando, and other companies to monopolize the industry if that is what they want. Lol.

Sugar gets converted into gas inside the watermelon when it's very hot, which often makes it explode.
OKOATA:
I think hink this happen due to fermentation. Sometimes when watermelon ferments they cause an explosion.
advanceDNA:
It's just gas build-up....... from bacteria that gained access to the fruit which converts sugar in the watermelon to gas....

Yall just like demonizing GMO crops and food....nothing wrong with GMO
Exactly!

You are all right. But ask yourselves, do we have extremely sweet fruits in the past? The benchmark now is how sweet fruits are. That's what sells now, so breeders even make note of the brix level to promote their seeds. Brix level has climbed up for all fruits these days.

So, if the rate of fermentation is extremely high in this watermelon, think about what is going on inside you when you eat them? Lol. Now, they tell diabetes patients to stay away from eating fruits which wasn't so before. Lol. Fruits that suppose to support your immune systems when eaten to fight infections are now discarded since they are fuel to keep the pathogens growing....extemely high sugar content. Na waooo!

So, why won't consumers demonize GMOs when they are not doing us so much good? grin
