Canada: let me correct some of your misconceptions about Canada.

1. Canada's GDP is quite impressive, compared to it's population. In terms of nominal gdp, canada is the 9th largest economy in the world. Even countries like Australia that Nigerians flock to nor dey the top 10 largest economy in the world. Does that mean there are no Nigerians doing well in Australia? There are. So, looking at the gdp of a country is not enough. Look at the pay of the profession or work you intend to do in those countries. Look at job opportunities, quality of life etc. Go see mansions wey Nigerians for canada dey live in. Then compare am to the boys quarters many Nigerians dey live in UK. You go know say difference dey. How many Nigerians in the UK can snap pictures inside their rooms or apartment? Space nor dey even dey inside the houses.


If we want to look at gdp alone, then after the US, we should be jakpaing to China because they are the second after the US.

If in canada, I earn ×5 of what my colleagues in the UK are earning, I should now leave Canada and go to the UK because the UK has a larger economy by gdp than Canada? No na!

GDP per capita; This metric is how to truly know how prosperous a country is economically. It helps to determine the standard of living. Canada has a larger GDP per capita than the UK, France, Japan etc.

As for people moving to Ontario. Ontario is the economic giant of Canada. That is the equivalent of Lagos in Nigeria or California in the US. People generally move to larger cities with more economic opportunities. Saying there are no more jobs in Ontario shows you don't actually know what you are saying. The gdp of British Columbia alone is over 400 billion dollars. That's more than the gdp of the whole Nigeria. People also move to Ontario because of the calmer climate. As you go farther north, it gets colder.

Come to Canada as a student or PR (preferably PR), within a year, your life will change drastically for good and within 3 years as PR, you are already a citizen than to go to the the UK and labour like slave with less pay and still wouldn't know if you will become a citizen or not.

I have not seen any yoruba or Igbo politician(not even Peter Obi) asking to break the Nigeria in to pieces,they don't raise that issue even in the senate because they are beneficiaries of the current bad system,likewise I have not seen any poor northerner rejecting the idea of dividing Nigeria because they're victims of the current system.

If the Yoruba or Igbo politicians are interested in dividing Nigeria they could have called for referendum,the 2 tribes put together in senate have the number required.

I will need to question your submission a little bit.

Don’t advise people to go in for student visa to enter the UK. What happens when the student visa runs out. They will apply for a two year graduate route. This is where it gets interesting. Most people who go in via student visa are not interested in learning. They outsource their courseworks. They know nothing. So how will they pass interview to secure jobs in one of these shortage occupations list.

There are many of them who graduated with “distinctions” in their masters but are still looking for jobs since they can’t pass any interviews. Why? They didn’t earn that “distinction” grade, they paid someone to do it for them. Now the hen has come home to roost. After 2-year of graduate route, UK govt always tell them to leave the UK and go back to their countries. Back to square one. It beats me why someone will pay like 15,000 pounds in tuition without gaining anything from such a course. Such a waste.

Let’s talk about the care workers route which you raised. The home office is tracking them. The home office is aware that majority of them are not being paid the agreed minimum wage. Majority are not getting any jobs from their care homes, some are working few days in a week. The home office has the data. This is a direct violation of the UK immigration law and the home office will not issue them indefinite leave to remain when the time comes for it. Rather they will be asked to depart the UK and go back to their countries. So getting indefinite stay via the care route is not as easy as you made it sound.

People need to evaluate and think hard before determining to travel to anywhere.

US has peaked and now in decline. Most jobs have left to Asia. For instance, look at Detroit, it’s now a shadow of its old days. This was one of the reasons Trump became aggressive and attempting to use tariff to bring the job back to the US. Jobs are leaving and US is mounting unsustainable debts. That’s why Trump established DOGE to reduce federal expenses by sacking most federal workers. Can’t you see Americans crying on TV after being sacked and a lot are going to be sacked this week. What do you think will happen to the employment market?; it will become bloated again.

You claimed fun is everywhere in the US, have you been to Maine, South Dakota, North Dakota, Idaho, Nebraska just to mention a few, If you have done, you would rewrite your piece.
