lendahand:Soaking will help slightly, but not significantly. There are two types of pesticides and fungicides used in farming. The first is contact, while the second is systemic. While soaking can reduce some of the former, it cannot remove the latter, which farmers use more frequently. Lol. So I am not sure whether soaking is safe. |
Organ damage is most commonly caused by self-inflicted health complications. The best medicine is natural food that is free of pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals. "Wetin we go chop" is the defense response when they tell you to eat properly. It is not expensive to inconvenience yourself by starting a garden outside of the city where you live. If you injure yourself while hustling, the consequences will fall solely on you. My advice to you is that if God blesses you with money but you do not have time to grow your own food, make a contract with someone trustworthy who can. Everything we eat in Nigeria is contaminated because no one regulates or monitors it. Spend more on food so you do not have to spend all of your savings on managing damaged organs. Getting a transplant may require the use of expensive medications for the rest of one's life. Such expenses can be avoided if you decide to spend more on food right now. Tips: 1. Grass-fed livestocks with ONLY natural grown grasses and legumes. Rabbits, goats can go a long way if there is no land for cattle. 2. Birds fed on grass and bugs produce high-quality meat and eggs. Ducks eggs are super food. 3. Grass-fed cows and goats produce high-quality milk. Nigerian dwarf goats produce some of the highest quality milk in the world. Google it and you will see that many European and American farmers keep them. Make homemade yorghut and Kevir from it. 4. Cassava grown with low cyanide levels to produce garri, fufu, and band starch. 5. Naturally grown yams, potatoes, and sweet potatoes are used to produce high-quality flour for pounded yam, amala, and other products. And for goof quality flour for baking. 6. Pesticide free grains. Corn, sorghum, and millet make a fantastic combination. You can use the flour to make recipes. 7. Grow a large quantity of wheatgrass and microgreens that can be processed into powder for natural supplements. 8. Mushrooms. 9. Vegetables.....vegetables....cucumber, watermelon, carrots, lettuce, cabbage, melon, etc. If you avoid buying these items from the market, you will save yourself a lot of trouble. I smile when I see people eating vegetables and fruits at the market. Hmmm. If they know how much chemical residue is on those products, they will refuse to eat them. Farmers don't care about consumers. They spray in the evening and harvest the following morning. Hmmmmm! 10. And many more. If you have the resources, save yourself from overspending later in life. |
Love800:Risk-taking is something else, and we all have different risk tolerances. My question is this: If the guy who started this thread uses his life savings to start a business, and it fails, do you think he will not think of committing suicide with his tone? My comment only highlighted the high risk of business failure. So, do you really believe that personal savings, particularly in a harsh economy like Nigeria, are only sufficient for a first-time business venture? It is now up to everyone. We should decide what we want. But I advise everyone to be prepared to fail. Why take such a risk if you know you will be unable to recover from such failure? That is an unnecessary risk. But some will still do it, and they will begin shouting "my hard-earned savings." Lol. |
Love800:Did you read that in my comment? I simply provided a statement based on data (approximate), with some years performing better. So, how many successful businessmen got it right with their first business? Check data. How many of them rely on personal savings the first time or afterwards? Even they used personal savings the first time, what else did they do? I am not here to give you direct answers. Because business is dynamic, you rely on history and data to make decisions and navigate your way. If what you read in my last comment suggests that you should not start a business, that is your interpretation, and you should base your decisions on that as well as your intuition. |
Telltruth123:Hmmmm....Salary earners. 1. Save at least 20% of your earnings you can increase it if you have the capacity but it must not be below 20%, you can save it in a co-operative society, I learned that after some few months, they will lend you three times of the money you save with low interest rate.Bad suggestion if you earn naira. If dollars, or any stable fx...Great. 2.Try and have a business plan, calculate the amount you will need for the business and save towards it, you don't need to leave your work unless it grows to a certain level that can pay 3 times your salary. You have a business plan when you have a business idea. Get the idea first. Saving towards setting up a business can only be done if you earn fx. And even you live in foreign nation, it is almost impossible to start a good business with personal savings, except, it is a micro business...or services that require only ones brain. As soon as it requires purchasing assest and paying expenses, savings don't help. 3. Don't touch your savings unless for business, it is good to save it where you can't easily access it , co-operative society, bank with instructions on duration etcAsk people who earned N500k monthly 5 years ago and saved. Ask them the value of their savings presently. Hmmmm 4. Don't entrust your business with family members, they don't take it serious, I have bad experience with this and I am regretting it.Yeah. I agree. 5. Don't lend out your savings, people might not return it, I have bad experience with this and I am regretting it.Don't even lend out your money, but give. When you give out, you don't expect it back. 6. If you are working in a company where you have access to loan, please make use of the opportunity as the interest rate is low invest it in a business, there is no access to loan in my company so I don't have the opportunity..Salary earners are loan takers. Lol. Recipe for bankruptcy. It is the truth. 7. Lastly know that you can't be young for life make sure you have a business running for you so that when the work force is rejecting your age limit, you will have something to fall back onYou don't need to run any other business before you make side income. You should learn other vehicles of income. You are only focusing on business establishment which rarely works. Go check data....After 5 years, over 95% new business collapse. |

Lol... If you love your health, stay away from this poison. Good luck! |
Interesting! One thing is certain: if Libya is not sanctioned with a heavy fine and a ban for a couple of games, CAF will endorse this issue, and African tactics will prevail. It will come to the point where African games will be ridiculed. Certainly, Libyans must pay dearly. The other issue is whether Nigeria is found guilty of the Libyan complaint. If that is the case, Nigeria will have to face the consequences. My opinion is that if both are guilty, the depth of wickedness of the two parties should be used to punish them. So Libya should be aware that they are in for it. And Nigeria should be prepared to defend itself in order to avoid a severe or no penalty, as Libya would have. That's it. Libya, in my opinion, should be kicked out of the qualification process completely. I would not even ask for Nigeria to be awarded three points, but rather to be kicked out and possibly banned for up to five years from participating in the tournament. Then, I would look into Nigeria too. If this is not done, African football will die. |
Jodybarton:And what makes you think I am not part of the 0.1%? Juat conclusing without any sense of reasoning to back your claim. You lack of using probabilities and numbers well says it all. This is why Reno can manipulate your likes. Lol! You don't know how to make prediction at all. And again, 99.9% cannot...I can say you are extrnwly very likely part of it cos you have just shown your weakness in the area here. And since Naija has high number together with your comment here, you highly seem extremely very poor with making good judgment logically. Having 10% of your likes will make poor nation, not to saying having more than 80%. It is well. |
Shadomaan7:Lol. Such don't go far. There are many examples of self centered ppl like that, and they always make excuses for their unfaithfulness and loyalty. A man who promisd heaven and earth he will go to APC, and insulted Tinubu anyhow. Just because he said he spoke with Jonathan, he said he returned to APC. Lol. Referencing to SW, Tinubu refused to join and move along with those Yoruba leaders. And he said bye bye, and he never returned. I know he criticised some ppl too, but he didn't return to them. Rather, he built his network. While Atiku kept jumping from one place to the other. Lol. Same with Reno, the loudspeaker. Who really knows how to play his game? Is it Tinubu who knows how to use people? Or Reno the man who decided to work with people he had cursed? Do you think Tinubu forgives? So, you think it is by mistake or to Wike's favor he was made the FCT minister? Lol. Keep your friendly enemies closer. All Tinubu's men know Wike will flip to the other side with a slight opportunity he can have aso rock seat. Lol. Go check Tinubu's history how he handled such men. Check out how he dealt with former allies turned enemies such as Aregbesola, Fasola, and Osinbajo. Only Fasola has a fair record with Tinubu. Anyway, it shows who you are, just like 99.9% of Nigerians. Just make money anyway. |
stagger:It will get worse. Feed is also extremely expensive, whether commercial or self-formulated. I gave it a lot of thought, and I am reducing all of my expenses. Until further notice, anything I am buying input is turned off. I am considering producing all of my input (feed included). So I believe I will now focus on grass-fed livestock. I wish to focus on goats and cattle. While I keep few chickens and turkeys for family and close friends. The initial cost is my main concern, but I am thinking about starting with rabbits and a few goats. Eggs are sold for N350 each, and it will hit N500 soon. People will be unable to afford it again, and egg sales will plummet. The market for eggs will soon be similar to that for broilers. There is no signal that the economy is going to get better soon. World Bank says Cardaso has set us on the right path with his policies and recent interest rate. If Nigeria is to improve, it will undoubtedly become significantly worse first. I believe inflation will continue to move up. As a result, it is best to make changes as soon as possible before it reaches a point where it will be impossible to do so. Though the price of day-old chickens will fall slightly by December, the cost of managing chickens will remain high. I am waiting until December to see how the market performs. With Nigeria's current situation, it is better to learn how to grow grasses and legumes for grass-fed livestock. |
![]() Kobojunkie:I decided to take the pain to read your meaningless responses, and I am not disappointed. Its always junkie...always meaningless and trying to intimidate everyone. Lol. You know your mate and who you can do "gragra" to sha.. Everything you wrote there is summed up into...fighting corruption and overhauling this present system. Oga...is that the solution? Tell us exactly what we should do to fight corruption and which system to adopt when we abolish these ones. And you will mention the systems around that aren't working. If you cannot explain these points well.....just get the crap outta my mention like I always tell you off. And I have warned you several times to keep off my mention cos you will keep getting bashes. Na you e deg always tire cos I will blast you like I always. Empty barrel makes the loudest noise. ![]() |
Kobojunkie:Criticism without making constructive suggestion make no sense. You always talk out of points thinking you make sense. Let me give you a benefit of doubt that you will make sense this time. Oga who always go "gragra" and "off point", what is the right way forward? "We people are done being f-word by these criminals we have as politicians"....so, tell us what to do and how to go about it since you know what to do. |
mrvitalis:As far as I am concerned, both are performing bad. Period. None has infrastructure. Even Lagos is just starting. So, you call thoese obsolete things infrastructure? Lol. Bro...a beg...no make me laugh this morning. While some people are thinking of building new sustainable cities even they have to borrow, you want to remain same because you must full your stomach. Lol. A beg...peace to you bro. |
mrvitalis:Rate of growth of where or what? |
mrvitalis:You obviously need to study the relationship between urban planning and economics. They go together. Akwa Ibom you have mentioned are suffering seriously and the rate of growth there is so small. This is Lagos is still ahead. Lagos is ahead of Onitsha too because of this reason. Still you don't see it? Lol. This is why south east will not be prosperous as it should be. Put infrastructure in that Akwa Ibom (SS) and in most SE states and you will see how they will compete with Lagos. If you have to borrow to put infrastructure there, you better do it. The only problem is corruption. |
PHIPEX:If you read my comment clearly, you will understand that I have mentioned this too. Laura Train Project cannot be neglected because you just have to be fair to all regions. The north are also planning towards the day the south will tell them to go away and mean it. And I think the North having such projects are the reasons they may accept to allow Nigeria break. They also will want to connect with their neigbors. Lol. That project may be meaningless to you, but it is very important to them. However, I am aware that if the residents of the area are sincere, the train project has the potential to generate significant revenue. Perhaps not as far as Lagos to Cotonou, or River to Cameroon. I am not in support of looting money with projects, but it is better to use these loans for projects rather than using them to defend naira, palliative, or expenses that will just varnish like that. Some people want them to borrow and support small businesses. For what? Small businesses owners that will collect cash and japa. You use it for education...and they don't return to serve your nation. Na good investment be that? Na that all must be on projects because we cannot ignore education also. But I support more projects. |
mrvitalis:Village B that built price, cassava, shoe, mills will carry their products on their heads to hawk in the street because their is no good road and standardized marketplace. Right? This is what is happening in Nigeria. Infrastructure like storage facilities, good road to move products, and close by marketplaces aren't there. Go ask farmers the percentage of harvests that get spoilt. And you will use bicycles and bikes to deliver the shoes and other goods you produce to your customers because of no good road. Right? Infrastructure must be in place first that aids the marketplace. Leave the rest and see how investors pump in. Do you know how many farm villages were built in Nigeria and are no longer used because farmers were unable to cope due to a poor road network? China built all infrastructure first before other things. The dame with south Korea. By now, Lagos should have demolished all buildings on the mainland and erected at least 30 levels of skyscrapers in Ebute Meta, Yaba, Ikorodu Road, Ikeja, Ogba, and even Agege. Do that and see if Lagos does not generate 10 times the GDP it currently generates. |
mrvitalis:Every successful economy started with infrastructure. Without these things, the revenue you generate from small businesses and other sources will not last. Unfortunately, corruption has resulted in high costs for infrastructure development in this country. We do not even get long-lasting quality. Not that I support these politicians, but we should force them to continue building infrastructure. Imagine there was no third mainland bridge in Lagos...lol. Just imagine there was no Carter bridge there too. Just imagine...just imagine it. If you cannot ask someone residing in Lagos. It is why I am not against Lagos-Calabar and Badagry-Sokoto coastal ways. Yes, they are stealing, but if we can get these two highways, it will be far more profitable than the cry of people losing their homes and properties (which I do not support...and the government could do a better job compensating them), as well as the hunger we are experiencing today. Nigerians love good.. that's just it. You can see it when they go to parties. They just want to eat. And this is why politicians can easily bribe them during elections, regardless of how poorly they perform. |
Good. Put LAWMA to work. This is the way to go. We should see a significant reduction in waste in Lagos. Lagos is now talking by taking advantage of its large population, which generates massive waste. This is the way to go. I hope to see a cleaner Lagos in the next 5 years. Like I always advocate, sustainability is the ONLY way forward now. I have stated several times that FG should abandon oil and focus on cleaner energy generation so that the oil, gas, and energy cabals die naturally. There is no point in wasting lives and money fighting them. |
The MAIN hole to plug in Naija is corruption. Seal the leak, and then recruit more young men to join the military. Train them, purchase the most recent equipment, and use technology to cover air, land, and sea. If not, we will continue to waste money because corruption will swallow everything. Nigeria's population is approaching 300 million, necessitating the use of more military force to ensure national security. But first, tackle corruption. |
God1000:Your post sounded very casual, with a weak voice, in contrast to how aggressive you usually make your posts. Israel is killing women and children. Does it appear that children and women, particularly civilians, are not the intended targets? One of your friends here, I believe madridguy, made the false claim that Hamas, Hezbollah, and Arabs only target Israeli military personnel. Lol. But we all know the game. Arabs always paint their children and women red, and they begin acting and filming a TV show for the entire world. Lol. I believe it was Madridguy who said a few days ago that if these Arabs had the opportunity, they would destroy all of Israel, killing children and women. You better face Boko Haram. Lol. Arabs!!! Muslim extremists. Lol. You dey use dem play? Dey support them? Dey play! You don't get it. They kill for pleasure and they call it Jihad. Then, they even use it to praise their god. Lol. There are good Muslims, but these people are evil. |
I like VDM sense of humor. He is a good entertainer and talker. |
This will either break or strengthen Dangote. He is also venturing into the blue ocean business. This is one of the oldest and most profitable multimillion-dollar businesses since the earth's inception. The cabals there are deadly also. You settle or become another pirate, toss enemies into the sea, and you can easily become a fish merchant if you so desire, among other things. Even before you know it, you have hired divers, who may discover another oil or something more valuable under water. Hmmmm! |
Love800:You still don't get the point. OK. Let me explain better. There are applications for the areas I mentioned that can be used in other areas. My point is that you must find a way to apply them. I used the examples of trading, betting, gambling, and prediction as data analysis applications. The same data analysis can be used in food. Genetics, regenerative agriculture, and other technologies can also be applied to food. Did you know that food marketing and sales require analytical skills? Every entrepreneur must get into it. You may not enter the core area, but you should begin using apps designed for your area. And, if you have the grace to go deeper into any of the core areas, do so. Let me tell you something else. Do you know that BSc and MBA Business Management focus on application? However, the MSc and PhD Business degrees are quite different. The best mathematicians, engineers, programmers, chemists, and data analysts pursue PhD in Business. Go find out. The best of the best in various fields are those who pursue a PhD in business, which is one of the most difficult areas at that level. Everything that is created will come from the areas I have listed. All subjects will be from this area soon. Programming will soon become a mandatory subject in high school education. It will soon be compulsory like English and Maths. It will come to the point where if you cannot write programs well, you will be unable to practice medicine, law, or pharmacy, etc. Your brain can accommodate more than you realize. It all depends on your foundation. I agree that geniuses exist, but we can all adapt. Our brain is a super engine. |
Love800:Could you clearly state non-science trends? Lol. You don't know...right? Guy, if you want to make it today, maybe for the next 50 years, you should focus on the areas I have listed. Perhaps you want to study accounting or law and become successful. Go ask lawyers and accountants how far. Or maybe theatre art or whatever is what you want to go into. Yes, you can make it, but you will face hell. Only less than 1% artists make it to Hollywood. Even Nollyhood here...go ask them how far. Lol. If you want to make it, you should study science. Even though it is not core science, there is a data component (maths) as well as an analytical component (data, logic, probability, and combination with permutation). Analytics encompasses predictions, trading, and even gambling. Gambling is actually a skill, but many people enter it blindly. Perhaps you should read about Nate Silver, who correctly predicts the majority of US elections. He also makes accurate predictions in football. He used to be a consultant for one of the big four, but he quit. Today, he gambles and wins big. Gambling is more than just throwing money away...it requires an analytical mind that can make accurate predictions based on mathematical and logical expressions. |
This is a good list; however, I disagree with "playing video games" as one of the ways to ruin your life. Parents must assist their children in balancing indoor game play with outdoor activities, as well as book study. By the way, have you heard of Jann Mardenborough? Make some research on this guy. Sim racing (Gran Turismo) propelled him to stardom and riches. Maybe you should watch the movie based on him. |
This is why it is critical to keep up with current trends and learn any disruptive technological skills. The recent ones are: 1. Artificial Intelligence 2. Robotic 3. Data Science and Data Analysis 4. Genetics - engineering/science, and related (application in health/nutrition, and agriculture. 5. Renewable Energy 6. Sustainability and Regenerative Agriculture (ecology, microbiology, biology, environmental science). Related to renewable energy. There are more.... |
madridguy:I apologize if you consider it an attack, but to be honest, saying Palestinians and Hamas are not attacking civilians is annoying. Yes, I understand your distress over the rate of death there...and your concern. That's you. Its OK. Express yourself and leave it at that. But telling lies to justify your feelings is annoying. Oga, if you give Palestinians and Hamas any small space, they will destroy Israel regardless of who they kill. Na beans or na potato? So, to answer your question, I am concerned with reporting a balanced picture of what is going on. By the way, have you ever considered how easily Hamas could empower Boko Haram if they had the resources? Do you believe Hamas, Taliban, Alquida, or any other terrorist organisation will not empower Boko Haram if they have the means? As I previously stated, my main concern is Boko Haram. So I would rather let Israel bombard potential Boko Haram supporters without supporting Israel. That's free victory for me. That is a sound strategic support that will provide my people with peace of mind. Going by this, I will remain neutral and will never support Palestine's independence. I know that once they have some peace of mind, they will want to expand, and Africa is a potential target. Everyone is trying to recruit Africans, particularly West Africans. Russia is doing its part by building nuclear power plants for West African states and training their armies (the US lost out due to their carelessness and overbearing attitude), China is lending to West Africans, which will tie them down, Ukraine is attempting to buy us with its grains, etc. However, we do not think deeply about how to use this political romance to boost our economy. It is well. Think! Think!! Think!!! Consider these points that I have made. Don't just be "follow follow". How do we make Nigeria great? |
educatedfool:Please, do not mind the guy below. He is just something else. The truth is that I don't care about Israel and Palestine. We have Boko Haram and bandits to deal with here. They will not say anything about our problems, so theirs are not my concern. madridguy:The simple reason is that they are powerless. Hamas would blow off all Israeli children and women and kill all soldiers in order to reclaim their land. But they are powerless. Simple as ABC. The last attack by Hamas that started this war was against civilians. Or you want to say you don't know? Did Hamas target the Israeli military base or civilians? Your head should be checked. Very irritating comment you have made. And I suppose you are a moderator on NL. That is a ridiculous comment. |
The issue here is that more people are doubting Femi Falana's ability to fight for human rights. Did he actually seek a pardon for Brobrisky? This is the point of contention the verydarkman is attempting to resolve. So, Femi needs to clear his name. If he actually does it, it is not a criminal offense, but the ethical considerations are critical. And did he actually ask for N10 million naira? Of course, he can easily claim that is his fee, but will some of it be used to bribe people in the system? Naija system is messed up. Would Gani Fawehinmi take up this case for any reason? If Femi claims to be our Gani, he must meet the expectations placed on him. Many people have lost respect for him a long time ago, and this case only reinforces that. |
Lol Knowing how to play grassroot politics is the KEY. It is obvious that Shaiubu understands the fundamentals of Nigerian politics. Obaseki is simply a technocrat who was assigned to move things forward, but he does not understand the game. Truly, Obaseki is done politically, and he will not have peace of mind for the next four years because the EFCC will squeeze his breadth. Unfortunately for him, he does not have someone with immunity clause to protect his "blokos" like Yahaya Bello. Obaseki will regret becoming Edo's governor because the power legions with whom he is at odds will drain him from head to toe the moment his immunity clause expires. The best option is for him to flee into exile and carry a bad reputation until power changes hands, which could happen within the next ten years if mercy finds him. His family will soon face real brutality. |
