All that talk aside, Pep’s team’s performances in the last 3 games haven’t really been up to his own standards.

If he played Arsenal, Bayern or even Brentford the way he played CheLSea (league) and Soton, he’d be beaten senselessly. That’s exactly what he said yesterday after the game (see attached pic).

Only the cup game against Chelsea was up to standard, score line aside.

That’s the truth if you look beyond biases. Results are not the only important metric in football. The performance is also important. It dictates future results.

Very good coaches and teams do go through rough patches here and there. Its normal. But if we really look beyond biases, we will see that opportunities to criticize Pep like this don't come that often at all. You get very few chances in a season to question Pep's ability. For me, that shows he's doing very great.
