Every time we see Shaw moving to stay beside Maguire and his side wide open. Is there a reason for this? Is someone else supposed to be there?

I’m not even that concerned about the press. It’s the defence that is leaking goals that is more worrying. And Maguire is at the center of that.

And the stupid coach has no idea that this is the problem.

He has no idea, none at all. The kind of goals we concede are goals we should not even be seeing on the training ground

When someone is not good, there is nothing that can change over night. I noticed that the Liverpool’s goal was on the back of a useless ineffective pressing. AWB and I think Greenwood were trying to press just one player or so together. No be juju be that?

I'm not sure there's anything wrong with double marking a player though

Why won't one of Tom or Fred just stay put in front of the defenders? What are they looking for in the attacking third against a pacy team like LFC?

I agree with you to an extent, but I have a question for u at the bolded.. what is the work/usefulness of the double pivot (mcfred) used by OLE if they can't provide basic cover for a LB or RB?

1. they don't function like the LFC midfielders. They're judged by their attacking output.
2. Even though Fred is played there, he is not a DM. He will have a couple of deficiencies functioning in that role. He only plays because he's one of the best for that role in the team currently. It doesn't mean he's one of the best in the world for that role

That's the coach design. Greenwood got all those goals from that position. He only needs to work on his team play and he will be great

Having Ronaldo and Cavani who are foxes in the box should be enough for Ole to know that creating width and putting crosses in the box will win us games, but no he prefers Greenwood who plays like him and Ronaldo are beefing on the pitch.

Ole won't set up his team to spam crosses. That's not his style. And why would he expect the forwards to spam crosses when they should be getting in the box and allow the midfielders and FB to spam the crosses

Greenwood is not a winger, for me doesn't offer much in that RW, no width, no crosses, just cut and shoot.
