Shaw and AW are always tucking into the center of the defence whenever we are defending leaving so much space for opposition full backs to exploit us.

We clearly have a huge problem with effective coaching and defending. It's a pity though, there are so many lumbering and slow players in our team. Pressing is also alien to us. Once we lose the ball, we just drop back into our half of the pitch.

Whether system is bad or not, it does not excuse the lack of common sense these players exhibit every time.

Maguire pulled Shaw that had things covered out of the way for Spurs to score.

We can use system as an excuse for other aspects of our game but not for the level of defending we have seen this season.
