Do you remember everyone said they couldn't sign these players until a new manager comes in. Alvarez and the likes were in that list.

But I remember some experts saying then that if this guy was going to take on this role you said he would. You should actually trust him to bring in one or two players then that'd actually fit in with whoever you bring in be it Poch or Ten Hag.

So what you're implying here is that this list didn't get to ETH?

Until I see something concrete I'm going to put my blame squarely at the feet of the Glazers.

We have scouts. We have been buying players before ETH came. We have bought many players most of whom we have abused and blamed for the club's nonsense display and position over the years. Many have left and the display is still there. But ETH has been allowed to bring his own players so that he will have everything he needs to succeed.

Anyways you will never see something concrete as long as Glazers is there, so no worry yourself just dey blame dey go

Obviously he has say on who we sign (according to him it's 50:50 veto power), but he doesn't sit analysing thousands of players to sign, we should have a system that identifies the right players and presents him with a few list he can deliberate on, maybe he can then personally scout those players to find the perfect fit. If the structure doesn't work right do you expect ETH to leave his job and become a scout? If he falls back to players he's familiar with because dem no dey present am with obviously better players then no be incompetence on Ten Hang's side.

It's my understanding that Rangnick gave a list of players. Didn't ETH veto all for his own players?

My problem isn't really the owners as much (or maybe it is because they have to take responsibility), my problem is around the competence of the people they've recruited to identify and complete transfers. They have not shown very much competence or ingenuity, cluelessness is what I see.

Maybe we have good scouts identifying good players but the people at the top making the final decisions do not actually understand what makes a good player, what fits, what doesn't. they don't know what terms to offer in the contract, what players are worth, the wages to pay, nor do they know when a player should be moved on. They don't know when to start looking for replacements, or even what players needs replacement? They neither know how to negotiate sells, nor how to negotiate acquisitions. we're always fleeced during acquisitions and during sells.

Or maybe the cluelessness runs farther down and we don't even have competent scouts identifying fitting talents in the first place.

So my issue is with competence, not owners. The owners are responsible for who they appoint, if I start seeing signs of competence then I won't have problems with the owners. A manager needs sound structure to succeed. the club needs sound structure to succeed. The Glazers can probably offer that, but I wouldn't hold my hopes high.

Which they are trying to correct by hiring ETH and wanted to bring in Ragnick as a consultant or DOF. Was this a wrong move?

And who said SAF didn't spend money during his terrible era? He even bought his goal keeper from Aberdeen that was costing SAF games...until he dropped him before he won a trophy

But seeing he is much like ETH; a rookie Manager, too strict/stubborn, favoritism, etc. I would say it would have taken him more than 6years to win anything (i.e, if not sacked within 3 years).

It's same way some people say Messi won't survive the 80s and 90s or some comparisons that we can never know.

We're trying to compare with ETH that has spent a lot of money on new players in his first two seasons

I asked this same question last season, most people got me wrong.
We are still laying like sh1t, qualifying will only make it look like we are playing better.
It is better we are relegated, so we know we are playing like sh1t.

By now this team should even start attempting to pass in tight spaces, and closing down opponents passing channels so they’re forced to release the ball or go long. But we have none of that happening. Instead our midfield can just become express for no reason. What has ETH introduced to the team in one year that he has been here?

It has to be collective. They should play as a team. Equal opportunities for everyone

I still insist that benching some of these players will do the club and the players some good. If they don't get better, we should sell off. Nobody should be untouchable at this stage of our rebuild

We didn't play badly yesterday but individual errors that are totally avoidable cost us the game.

I'm watching Onana long balls during the match yesterday and probably all failed to meet the target or be anything useful. I can't fault the gk just like I couldn't fault DDG for this last season. We have people that are not ready to contest long balls in our team. Only Hojlund is currently trying to win those long balls.

As for if Onana has it in him to win matches for us, I seriously doubt that.

If something is not done, it’s only a matter of time before Hojlund begins to play nonchalantly. See the way he was trying to win the ball back and when he looked back, no one was even trying to reduce the passing options of the goalkeeper. Which big club will try ETH again? He will end up back in his farmer league or one smaller club in Europe
