Funlordjnr: That is ehn? I don't understand the way some of these guys view man uniteds standard of midfielders or how they feel jogo bonito should be played!
Fellaini? That Lacks concentration, gives away needless fouls, causes goals, all elbows and suspensions, even with the height when last did he score a header from a set piece or dominate our wall! All he does is pass backwards or sideways when under no pressure and all of a sudden he is class? due to average performances?
1 bayern parades thiago, vidal or Alsonso?
2: barca parades rakitic and busquets?
3: city parades gundogan, fernandinho and silva?
4: real parades kroos and modric?
5: chelsea parades matic, kante or cesc?
Then we are here parading fellaini and pogba and we are expecting free flowing football? God forbid.......pogba has his faults too but at least he is attempting to stamp his authority in games and try things, unlike rooney and fellaini! Na by name? Was Fernadinho and Silva playing free flowing football last season? Is that not what the coach brought in? A midfield of Modric Kroos and co that have been trained to move into space and channels and is that not the work and tactics of the coach? Mourinho has no tactics and you're calling out the one player that has been doing his job in the midfield |

You've said it all! We are expecting Players to get back the winning mentality, yet we Fans ain't able to differentiate between an average Player and a standard Player!
I'm ain't saying Fellaini isn't doing good, but we need a Player who can give us best Performance in the Midfield I will rather play Herrera ahead of him.
Fellaini Fans should ask themselves, why ain't we dominating the midfield battle? Why ordinary Watford and Hull City Midfielders are performing better than ours?! Where and how did we lose to Man City?!
We should stop expecting Paul Pogba to perform wonders and magic alone! He's surrounded by average Players in the Middle - Rooney and Fellaini precisely! So someone that has more passes, tackles, interceptions than Pogba is still rated below Pogba? The argument is between our 3 starting midfielders. If you're saying they all have to go fine but don't single out someone that has been giving his all whereas the others are being useless as usual. I am basing my views on what each of them has played this season and not last or whatever. Well I hope he is dropped so your world class Pogba can finally dominate the midfields |

Diademk07: Don't forget it's just Northampton. Also, only Harrop and Riley got included in my starting line-ups. At least, I was moderate enough
We have a quality youth team though. If they weren't good enough, they wouldn't have won the youth league for 3 consecutive times.
The problem of the team right now is the lack of attackers after the likes of Rashford, Lingard, Keane, Januzaj got promoted/loaned out. That means some of the midfielders had to be used in the attack. But the fact is we've got some quality in the midfield (Harrop, Willock, Goss, Poole) and defence (Riley, Tuazenbe, Poole, Shuan Williams). I think those guys should be allowed to play let's see if they can keep the ball unlike those things we have in our team currently. But knowing Mourinho he won't. |

Oasis007: Lot is wrong with the Team, and we should forget the price tag and be considerate. We need to be playing the Game from the Back, not from the Middle.
You should think about our first 3 Matches, we played well and we enjoyed the Matches! Blind, though still underrated by many United Fans, did a good job in all the Matches!
Perhaps because we lost to City, Everyone was asking for Smalling and we could all see how the Team is playing from the back now! No more confidence!
Our last 2 Matches were nothing to write home about. We were very poor in possession, tactics and the game-plan. I'm not pinning the blame only on Smalling, but we need Blind in the Team more than him. We did lose whether it's Smalling or Blind in the defence with the way we're currently playing so there's no reason for the Smalling-Blind debate. That Baily position is guaranteed sef is even annoying. What has he played that Smalling didn't do last season or the one before? Ball playing ko ball keeping ni |

Diademk07: Funny enough I'm supposed to be one of those that often lambast Fellaini because of the way I was against his signing and I was even lambasted for my negative views.
On the other hand, I welcomed Herrera signing although I was of the opinion that Koke would have been a better signing for us but one Basque fanatic convinced me Herrera has better potentials than Koke. I couldn't claim otherwise because I've only seen little of him whereas I had seen plenty of Koke at the euros u21, super cup vs Chelsea and some other matches. But then, I was aware that Herera had a good game against us in the europa, so I had no problem with his signing.
Looking at the way things turned out, I'm supposed to support Herrera while gleefully lambasting Fellaini, right? Yeah that's true I remember you used to criticise Fellaini a lot then. Tbh I was doing the same two seasons ago even last season but he is currently the only midfielder that has performed. I haven't seen enough of Hererra under Mouriho to form an opinion. And I wouldn't go about forming an opinion based on someone else views but mine only. Anyone that says Fellaini is the problem in the midfield does not know what he's saying. |

Diademk07: Like I stated earlier, Fellaini has limited skills on the ball but he's an intelligent player who can easily understand what his manager asked of him. For crying out loud, he was better than Herrera last season and he's been solid as a DM in spite of his little quality on the ball this season.
He's got good movement, and a tactically sound brain when he's not being a thug though. He's also positionally disciplined. There's a reason his managers loves him. There was even one article that stated that Fellaini always does what his manger ask him and this shows he's an intelligent man. That guy just hate Fellaini for no reason. Too bad. If it's because of his previous poor performance for us then he needs to have a rethink because that's the only guy in our midfield that has been trying to keep it together. Because Pogba cost whatever he has refused to criticise Pogba but putting all the blame on Fellaini. Rubbish |

chrisley024: Pressing cannot be done by only a player but by the whole team starting from those upfront. We've DMs that are OK but the issue is apart from tackling/defending what else they've to offer. In top teams and modern football, they should also be able to start the team's attack and or serve as a holding midfielder otherwise his fellow pair of midfielders should be able to cover those weaknesses very well. How do you start attack? Is it rocket scienc? How does a Busquet or whoever starts attack? Is it not by releasing it to a player in a forward position or am I missing something? Win ball back or receive from the defender and pass to a player forward abi no be so? Which of this is Fellaini not doing? |

elampiro: May be you are right. Pogba plays too close to the left wing leaving a big gap for Fellaini to manage.
There is a disconnection between the number 10 and the number 9. Even in the Europa game. The tactics has to be improved. I guess Pogba is more at home at the left wing than at the centre which means we still have to spend again to bring in another midfielder. Chai! Upon all the money we have spent? Jose should just go to ligue 1 and get a tireless midfielder jare. Someone that can press all over the pitch. |

afrodoc2: Pogba was bought for that fee as our only central midfield addition when it has been argued that we needed 2 world class signings in that department. Considering the fact that we got Pogba for Matuidi+Kroos or Kante+Modric or even Veratti+Pjanic money AND our midfield is still our weak point THEN it can be said that POGBA and his FEE are problems. We sign a MIDFIELDER for a WORLD CLASS FEE and our midfield has been our weakest department and he has been arguably our worst first teamer......and you say that is not a problem? The midfielder we have currently is enough to bully most epl teams. The tactics is the problem. You can't tell me that if Jose asks them to always string passes and release the ball on time they won't be able to. We lacked a mobile midfielder and a creative midfielder last season and they were addressed by Jose signings. What is missing now is the tactics and the ability of the team to play as a team instead of rooting the ball up |

For all the talk about him being bullied, outpaced etc etc I can't seem to recall when any of these have actually happened. The only weakness he has his his aerial ability and there are tall enough people to cover up for him Yeah I agree but won't change anything. If our attack continues to be flat and predictable it won't matter if Blind is on the field or not. Anyway, I don't think anybody Mourinho buys will solve our midfield problem unless Mourinho has an actual tactic to go with it. he's clueless right now. Man City are playing well coz Pep has instilled in them his personal tactics, same as Loserfool. Mourinho has simply continued Gail's legacy nothing new added. Which team has 2 DM in a match at the same time? Unless they're trying to see out a lead. Have you watched Fellaini play this season at all or you just don't like him? You're not being fair to him because he has been our most consistent player so far. Dude has been doing the job of two men in the middle. sinizia: It's a waste of money then coz he's also useless as a B2B. He lacks what it takes to be a B2B. I prefer he sits his ass in the DM (where Mourinho places him in his formation) and protect our defense. Let him leave the attack for our wingers, attack and AMs. Mou never played Pogba as a DM. Fellaini is the DM in Jose's plan. It was a waste of money but since it didn't set the club back financially that's none of my business. Even if it does still none of my business. Our team only lacked a B2B midfielder and a creative midfielder so when PoorBarb and Miki were bought I was excited because key areas have been addressed. If the coach can't get them to dominate and win matches it's his fault. We have arguably the most comprehensive team in the league. Get them to put the ball down and press all over the pitch and we'll be fine. |
