madridguy: Those who pray night and day for oil price to continue dropping and applaud avengers for every pipeline they blow up are the first to cry, buhari fix the economy we are hungry and people are losing their jobs. those who call the chibok girls a scam are the first to say buhari promised to bring back the chibok girls but has failed all his promises. those of us who are apolitical know why the economy is like this today .it's simple as ABC, oil is no longer selling, oil prices are low, militancy is at it's peak. Nigeria doesn't produce even a pin, we depend on oil by 90 percent. diversification for 140 million people won't take 1 year heck it won't even take 5 years. but I love buhari, he doesn't even hear the wailers, he just does what he does. the greatest tragedy for the wailers is that they already believe the PDP will come back to power any time soon.
Credit: ddippest. He should have been advised to take things once at a time if not 2018 will come and go and everything he is trying to fix wouldn't be ready. It will be a tough campaign session. Just saying so another government does not come in to reap the fruits of buhari |

Pogba, Martial and Fellaini are the next with 1.3 key pass per game (each) Really? For which match abeg? Anyway it's useless having this argument. Na to just watch as things unfold. Rooney can have that spot if Miki isn't ready yet. |

Spy360: I don't understand United fans. Rooney is one of the best all round player in the team. He is not perfect but niggas should stop comparing him with Mkhi or Mata. Dude's work rate alone is a motivation. E is like the glue that makes the team a unit. Take Rooney out of the first 11, and watch your team struggle and collapse. Yea his energy is amazing but end product is shit. He can't be in that position and average less than 1 key pass. It's a waste of space and energy. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 1:25pm On Sep 13, 2016 |
elampiro: And this is Rooney’s fault?
This again shows Rooney is not the one hindering Pogba from playing behind the striker directly. I don't think I mentioned Rooney in that post. Rooney was shipped to the wings when Herrera came in. Fellaini went furthest of the three midfielders but by then the only thing Jose could think of was to hoof the ball into the air. |

elampiro: Dier, Rooney and Ali.
In their last match, I think the setting changed. I think it was Herdenson who came on for Dier. So how can you say Ali was asked to play furthest when Rooney is in that team? That he was finding his way up there to make things happen does not mean he was asked to play furthest. His finding himself up there was creating holes in the midfield |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 1:02pm On Sep 13, 2016 |
elampiro: Ok. Just as Dele Ali was the furthest for England. Rooney even has better positioning discipline than Pogba.
But we appeared to have played three man midfield of Herrera, Fellaini and Pogba in the second half against City. Pogba was playing for himself. Do you know Fellaini was asked to play furthest of the 3 midfielders? And that was why balls were being looped into the sky at every given opportunity. Pogba was poor in decision making though as he always wanted to make things happen by himself but most times he was too deep for that |

elampiro: You are a compound fool. Rooney has never been so easily shaken off the ball, feel nervous as Mkhitaryan did. And he never been so uninvolved as Lingard was when not playing as the striker. How can wingers or midfielders be so anonymous? When you have a player that has all the energy but efficiency is zero something is wrong. It makes that player look like candidates for average teams. I am not blaming Rooney for yesterday so don't think it's about last match. Hw has not been efficient over the last two years and everyone knows this not just nigerian fans on NL. And that's why the debate is still on even in England as to where they can fix Rooney. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 12:49pm On Sep 13, 2016 |
elampiro: You failed to notice that every time Martial had been substituted in all our matches so far, Rooney had been pushed to play on the left, in Martial's position. And he had always done well there. In one of the matches, Rooney was also substituted for Mephis, then Mephis messed up as soon as he came on, we went under pressure. Mephis almost gave a goal away. Rooney created our goal for Rashford to score against Hull from that wing.
Mourinho also said in the summer, that when United played Madrid, Rooney was used by SAF to hinder his full back from going forward. May be Mourinho already had the plan to occasionally use Rooney there. Again, Martial, Mephis and Young don't have the crossing.
On three man midfield, it is very easy. Rooney can be used as SAF sometimes used Scholes highest in a three man midfield. Lampard also played that way. I think even Gerald. If Mourinho wants to play it, he can do so with or without Rooney. The purpose of the three man midfield is to make Pogba further up the pitch and not Rooney |

Mcleo007: He did win UEFA Best deservedly a few years back. He's a genius on and off the ball like god-Messi and Lord Xavi. Oh guess I missed that then. These kind of players come once in a few decades or so. Nobody attracts the ball while escaping different challenges like Messi and Iniesta. Iniesta in your team can take out 2-4 players out of the equation through out the match. Neymar can try but he is no Iniesta. He is the closest but not even close. |

sebod: After just four matches, some have fallen in love with him, some now refer to him as a master tactician, some now rate him very high while some have praised him for bringing out the best in some players, others are waiting patently with optimism to see what he'll turn some players to. By one way or the other, almost all that once claimed "he should come to Epl, he go hear am for Epl, he can't perform in a stadium on a cold night" have now been singing his praises, warning their teams to exercise caution against him team. Love him or hate him, PEP is just a genius! Calm down. Even most United fans wanted Pep ahead of Jose and when he signed for City we were disappointed. We wanted Pep not because he was better but his style of play. |
