Christianity Etc › Re: Anti-tithers Are Playing On The Intelligence Of Nigerian Churches by eph12(m): 6:16pm On Oct 14, 2013
How i wish other doctrines of the bible are being treated with passion. From what i've realised paying tithes is not really a weighty topic in christianity. No real consequence whether u do or not( please pardon my ignorance). Its not a sin to pay tithe. If u think our spiritual leaders are exploiting us then that's for God to judge. But don't u think it will benefit we christians more if we treat topics on issues of hated fornication adultery wordliness etc? I really believ those are the kind of things we should be talking about. Thank you.
Politics › Re: Senators Call For Resignation Of Stella Oduah by eph12(m): 10:54am On Oct 10, 2013
And i say all these senators should be sacked too. As far as am concerned Nigeria is looking like a failed state today cos these senators have failed us. Nobody takes them serious because they never follow up any investigation or findings. They can't put pressure on the president cos they have skeletons in their cupboards. A week from now you won't hear anything about this again. They should just stop talking if there's nothing they can do about it.

I hope govt settles these people so we can move forward. If only they had taken their work seriously govt wouldn't have privatised PHCN. Sometimes i don't pity these phcn workers. They only give my area light towards the end of the month or first week of a new month when they would be issuing bills for voltage u didn't use. Smh. And after they have successfully collected their money the light disappears. Now they are claiming that they served their country well. Issorait. Fg try to settle them so we can move forward.
I pray this company handles this light issue very well o. Cos if electricity problem is solved then we are half way to making this country great again.
Politics › Re: Your Independence Messages For Nigeria by eph12(m): 5:28pm On Oct 01, 2013
We have come this far. Its too late to give up now. One thing am sure of is that we are closer to greatness than ever. Let's keep on fighting for the greater good of this country. Let's be a source of hope to people around us. One thing we must realise is that resorting to insults and name calling will not make any difference. Let's make our votes count come 2015 and hopefully we get it right this time in electing those that have both the intentions and heart to see out their ambition in taking Nigeria to the promise land. Not just the office of the president but our lawmakers and governors (though i have no idea of whom is worthy of these mantles). Putting aside all forms of religious and ethnical sentiments because we are one. In the not too far future we will claim our rightful seat among the elites of the World and not just Africa. We will get there.
Long live Nigeria
Long live Mr President
Long live every nigerian.
Thank you.

iyeyemi: Wow. They've been taken notes? How very inspirational. And to you this is a serious indication that our universities shall be great again? Does this team have a name? What exactly are the terms of reference? Are they working in concert with the schools or anonymously? How does ' team is going round taking notes' sound like a sound plan for heaven's sake
Well i visited my alma mata around july and the changes i saw were glaring.

1025: sometimes i ask myself; how long does it take to start and end a project? by the end of this tenure, jonathan would have completed 6 years as the president of nigeria so what kind of project can someone start and will not be able to complete in 6 years?
again, if it is all about looting, how long does a president need to loot enough money for his tenth generations unborn? if jonathan is here to loot and he has done so for 6 years, who says he is not rich enough?
i wonder what is wrong with us nigerians and africans as a whole. how can one person rule a country of over 180 million nigerians for 6 years and yet he is not satisfied? is it wrong for others to rule? if it is possible, let every nigerian taste the seat even if it is for one month for everybody.
why are ppl killing stealing and destroying to remain in power yet they say there is nothing there?
all these media chats to me makes no sense. use ur time very well and stop looking beyond ur tenure. if any leader is doing well, i don't think that one should be worried about been re-elected. in imo state for example, i don't think Rochas okorocha is as worried as jonathan. do the right things and the masses and ur works will speak for u.
light is improving yet we are spending heavily on generators even in ur budget there is room for millions to be spent on generators. hospitals are equipped yet u run to abroad at the slightest headache. schools are improved yet no rich man has his child here schooling.
how long did mandella rule south africa after 27 years in prison and which other african leader has his type of respect? is not about how far but how well.
the whole problem in nigeria is from pdp. u call urself a political party yet obasanjo to yar adua to u is a change of govt and yar adua to jonathan is a new govt - how? does this party have manifesto at all? what is their agenda for nigeria?
You are obviously missing d issue here. He is not d one worried. The worried ones are d ones opposing him. Thank u

michealade: iv been forced to comment abt d way u reply pipu.seriousli, ur so immature and dumb........atleast if u love ur president, support him if others dont let dem be...i dont like d president.so please grow up
So d best way to show u don't like Mr President is to insult and call d president crazy names? GEJ has done nothing for me and my family but doesn't mean i have to come log in to NL for d sole purpose of doing that. And that's exactly what most of u do here. As if it will change anything. Many people are making good use of d situation and silently waiting for 2015 so they can make their voice heard but no u guys decide to insult and abusive for fun. Shows d kind of homes we are from. What's is not good is not good. Thank u

iyeyemi: Please educate us. what exactly did he say 'well' about ASUU
Sir/ma u can't really understand what he said cos u have taken sides already. Until we understand fully what ASUU is fighting for. GEJ said a team established by him had gone round the country taking notes and documenting the decay in d infrastructure even before ASUU thought of strike. That shows its his aim to improve every FG university.

OneOpinion: "Bokoharam(north)-in the fight against terrorism, innocent people are bound to die"

"Oil Bunkering(south)-there is a term in law that says its better for 10 criminals to be free than for 1 innocent man to be killed"

Those words are not mine they belong to our dear President Goodluck Jonathan. He made them during the presidential chat.

This reveals a lot.....
And what's wrong with those statements? Innocent people are surely bound to die in the fight against terrorism. And u know in law u have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that one is guilty of an offence if not he becomes a free man. But of course u know better. Thank u

ahidjo: He will definitely be impeached the next day
Did u read about the report of d so called shekau's death. His body was not seen anywhere but they assumed so cos of d information they got. I believe it was true that he was shot but looks like he was well taken care of n has now recuperated. America brought back Osama's dead body so Mr Obama does not have to assume. He saw a dead Osama body first hand. Nigeria's intelligence is not as good as that so please don't blame Mr President for believing something else and later realizing it may not be true. And moreover he didn't make any press conference concerning Shekau's death or did he? I stand to be corrected. Thank u

prodam: All those talking for the president should stop being emotional or sentimental but rather be objective. Statements like 'he is calm', 'he is civil or that' are no valid points to absolve him of any blame.

makizee: Its sad a certain Goodluck Jonathan is President where we've got a Henry Boyo, Pat Utomi or Babatunde Fashola, its sad really...Goodluck Nigerians !
I pray GEJ doesn't win d next election but one of these great guys u think is better. But I also pray boko haram become more focused than ever in achieving their aim. I also pray many bad n stupid politiciams wit greedy n personal intentions fight against d president. Then we will c how well they can run d race. Its easier to criticise d leadership when u r not part of it but when u become part u c that its not as simple as white n black. Thank u
Let stop talking about other country abeg.....did obama talk about other country during osama time, u just supporting that man, well he is our president, we can't say evil about him
My point is that we have issues in this country. The govt is slow, agreed. But that doesn't mean we have to come here on NL badmouthing and calling the govt crazy names. As if it changes anything. Its simple, don't vote for him come 2015. But one thing am sure of is that anybody on that seat will struggle. Atleast for now coupled with the presence of all this distractions. For me he has performed well below expectations but doesn't mean he is not working. Thank you.

Smh. What do you think is ASUU problem? Bad infrastructure? Mr president just said they were working towards improving it long before ASUU went on strike. Every other bone of contention is for personal reason. Nothing more.
