The truth is that employer has the right to terminate the appointment of an employee with or without reason. However, this does not connote that the contractual terms stated in the employment letter must not be followed.

What was your Boss's response when you asked for your salary? What is the content of the "exit clause" in your letter of employment? If you have the payment of one month salary in lieu of notice, you can claim it.

However, it all depends on the reason behind your termination/dismissal. If it was due to grace offence, you might not be able to claim any kobo irrespective of the years you have spent in such organization.

Driving is part of the skills every youths must have: only God knows what the next one or two years of graduation will be: get ready for anything.

That was how a man wanted to help a friend of mine to get a well paid driving job in a corporate organization where graduate who can communicate efficiently is needed: the job is just to drive the Chairman of the Board of Full Time basis with promotion and allowances for working late. He could have secured the job without a valid application because the man really likes his integrity and his well polished physical appearance, but loose the job because he cannot drive.

Sometimes things do not work the way we think it ought to especially in Nigeria. One has to be dynamic and be multi-tasking. I have seen a PA's job where driving skill is one of the requirements.
