N956 million fraud

Incredible. Simply incredible. Such greed. This is money that is meant for staff and to also develop the standard of the university and we wonder why the quality of education is spiralling downwards.

They were investigated after whistleblowers tipped off the anti-graft agency and accused the trio of suspicious dealings totalling N800 million.
The case is before Justice O. Majekodunmi of the state High Court.
Well done to the whistle blowers, we need more of these EVERYWHERE. And kudos to EFCC, they actually followed this through.

read original post ... That's why I said read and comprehend before joining any conversation.

Don't just quote because the feature is available.
Even the guy that quoted me is not talking again before you jumped into the conversation like puma.

Original posts says toyota is crying cos of low sales despite the fact company has 24% shares.
Maybe you should learn to express yourself better and stop trying to twist your words.

Anyway I am sure I have passed across a key point to you. Next time before you justify a challenging business environment as being okay and start singing Dangote, you will remember there are other countries providing a conducive environment for both big and small businesses, and also growing the number of billionaires every year.

Eod.
Car TalkRe: Toyota Boss Laments Nigeria’s Lowest Vehicle Sales Record In Decades by ephi123(f): 10:30am On May 12, 2017
MetaHuman:
and you are defending the fact that a company has 24% share in a large country where they don't even have showroom.
That's absurd.

We all know doing business has its own challenges just like every other country in the world, but saying for that reason, companies shouldn't come is a complete stupidity.

E.g dangote is building biggest refinery and 12 thousand megawatt of electricity to power it, he will sell some of this megawatt to the country out of those 12kmw. Now imagine if we have 5 to 6 of this projects, are we still gonna be having electricity problem for small scale businesses?

You people just can't see beyond the problems of the country and only think government has the magic wand to wave all those problems away.
Please stop trying to put words in my mouth. Did I mention 24 percent market share in any of my initial posts? Nope. So face the topic we were thrashing which is the business environment being unsuitable for small businesses, but which you are justifying by going on and on about Dangote.

I have modified my previous reply and provided more details of a country growing the number of billionaires per year. That should be food for thought.

It's bad enough that the average person in this country generates their own electricity, but justifying it like you are doing is a No No. Recipe for stagnancy - which is where we are.

learn to read and comprehend before you post.
That's what differentiate real business men like us to mummy I'm hungry like yourself.
You want to set up a business, won't you consider power, environment etc before you start.

how are those doing business here getting their own power?
Dangote is building biggest refinery in africa, where is he going to get electricity to power it?

Dangote is the richest black man in the world, he made all his money doing business in your so called terrible business environment.
Mtn is the biggest network in africa, thanks to nigeria.

Why are these companies making billions with all these problems?

Name one country in the world that doing business is so smooth and no problem at all?
You are still defending the current business environment? I totally give up on you.

No wonder the country is where it is when people are so comfortable with mediocrity.

We are talking about startups and small business owners, you are mentioning dangote. Besides how many dangotes do we have in Nigeria? A handful. Rather than growing more, you are celebrating having just one. Imagine.

Smh.

-------------------------------------------------------

FYI - Britain which has a population 1/3rd of Nigeria's is growing the number of billionaires it has year on year. But people like you keep on singing Dangote year on year. Jeez.

The 2017 list, which is in its 29th year, reveals London has more billionaires than any other city in the world, with 86.
There are now 134 billionaires in the UK, which has increased from 120 in last year's list.

Every man or woman has a beast in them. Some people stop at nothing to bring out the beast in others.

Even you...you have a limit to your patience before you lash out physically. That's why many women will physically assault their man's side chick without remorse, if push comes to shove. Are they beasts?

How can you stop being around such a person if she is your wife?
I don't agree with the first part of your comment.

For the second one, the question is how did such a person become your wife/husband? A person cannot suddenly start bringing out the worst in you after you get hitched.

I did at least 3 interviews last year, got one of the roles..I have more than 8yrs work experience. I can assure you , all the companies I have interviewed with never asled me those questions.

They go straight to the point and already have HR models for questioning for specific roles to deterrmine not only role fit but culture fit.

In some cases , you do presentations and they ask some questions about your slides or solution and that is all.
That's because you were an experienced hire. For those just starting out in their careers, they will be asked majority of these questions.

Great thread OP.
PoliticsRe: Northern Elders Declare “full Support” For Osinbajo by ephi123(f): 9:51am On May 12, 2017
coolzeal:
Whether they give their support or not, the constitution requires the VP to take over the mandate of leadership when the president is on leave or attending to his health.

Northerners don't own Nigeria.
Exactly.
So their "full support" really is very redundant. We have a constitution.

How can a whole region "dwell" in delusion this much? Who did this to this people? The worst of it all is that, the youths who are supposed to be thoughtful are way too lost to think right. Too bad.
Kanu or no Kanu's issue aside for a moment --- the youths in other regions who are supposed to put pressure on their leaders to eliminate archaic practices are not doing so either. Don't just sit there and point fingers when your very own backyard has major issues. You are not in any position to do so.

Take a closer look at almost all the billionaires in other continents, they made their wealth through innovations, in other words, tech, science etc. In Nigeria, billionaires are either politicians , their cronies and friends holding onto power and looting of public funds. These people lack creative mind and sit on tight to those who possess that might. quite pathetic.
I echo that.

I know a number of small business owners and the amount they spend on diesel for generators wipes a good chunk off their profits, it is a struggle to run a sustainable business in this country, especially for start-ups. And someone up there is justifying this nonsense? What kind of country is this exactly?

And those other people doing their business nko? They have 2 heads?
It is obvious you do not run a business or know what is involved in sustaining a profitable business, else you wouldn't continue justifying the current business environment.

The others "doing their business" - do you know how much better they would perform if basic things like power were easily available?

@bolded : there are some lil good coming through from the administration, i believe.

I don't need Buhari to tell me to love my Igbo brothers as myself, or date a Calabar girl, marry a Deltan beauty, and appreciate the intelligence of my guys from the North.

Buhari's job done is really infinitesimal in the grand scheme of things!
If there is any achievement, I certainly will laud it. Why didn't you mention the lil achievements though? Lol.

Buhari's job right now is not infinitesimal, it has an impact on people's lives and choices. It's very easy to take a back seat if it doesn't impact one directly, but there are millions of people suffering hardship due to the wrong policies of this government, that is not something to turn a blind eye to.

I read your comments and your shares and I'm impressed. But do we really have to make it a war-zone before passing our points? Do we really have to make it an 'us' against 'them'? Do we really have to make it an 'APC' vs 'PDP' thing?
Can't i critique or praise the govt without being biased, with no affiliation to any party, or any ethnic divide - This is my issue with politics.
That's really the way it should be ideally but the reality is different.
For me, I have no party affiliation but I definitely focus on APC's mishaps because they are the ones currently in power and so should be held accountable. For the ethnic divide, we have Buhari to thank for that, he's done a great job already cheesy

Aisha Wakil (Mama Boko Haram) and Ahmad Salkida were involved as negotiators. They gave detailed explanation of the issue based on their interactions with the terrorists. (Google their names).
I googled both names, very interesting. These two people are said to have close ties to Boko haram, but that doesn't necessarily mean they can't collude with government officials to carry out such a scheme. They are humans after all. I still insist there is more to this story. Let us watch how things unfold. Thanks for the info.
