I don't understand why one must live abroad to make it. Naija billionaires are based here...even if they have businesses both home & abroad.

I speak for me only.. Most of my landing cost no fit pass 1.4m as a matter of fact my highest landing cost is 1.4m. The rest of the cars are between 1.1m to 1.2m range.
To talk of profit now na long story.. I have change management now. Before changing management I was running at a loss.. Manager will come story today, story 2mirrow. It got to the point that manager was stealing from drivers and stealing from owner. So I was getting it from both end. At that time I was not making profit. But since it has changed hands now , things have improved a bit. That is why I scale down from almost ten cars to about six cars. Mostly all tokunbo cars.. If you can get good drivers, the business is profit.. Keep in mind again my landing cost is very low compare to others. And when the going was good with uber, drivers were still making excuses not to deliver.. The same issues we had at the very first beginning of uber ,is still the same issues now ..drivers want to make more than the owner.. Drivers jumping from one partner to another.. That is why a lot of them will never ,never, never ever will be able to afford their own cars.. This is not a curse, I can go on and on .but time no dey

Have they been having meetings with Uber? But in a normal world, the market leader increases/decreases prices first and competition follow except for new entrants.
Expect Uber to reduce fares soon too!

I did several permutations & combinations and arrived @ #54/km as the new rate for distance on Taxify Lite.

I'm using one eye to look at Taxify

On Uber, rider and driver cancellations count against you, but on taxify it doesn't count as long as you wait 3 mins after sliding arrived

People that just joined Taxify may be in a better position to tell if Taxify cover is compulsory...I thought it was compulsory when I joined & did mine in Jan.

It is different from comprehensive or third party insurance. It covers theft/loss of personal effects
owned by riders and or partners during a trip.

I lost up to 7k yesterday Saturday to taxify useless app. All my toll fee was not added. Very low fare some riders compensated me

Are the 'Taxify' category partners having same issue?

This one that this thing has persisted and if one reviews, they still put the same fare; I'm having a feeling Taxify has further reduced fares without announcing.

Currently at mma2 I got a request, called the rider he said he is still in porthacort that I should wait for him , and uber don warn me about cancellation the idiot phone is now off, some riders are just so stupid why will you request for a ride when you are not ready.

Those guys can scam drivers ehnn...see how every fare has been short of at least #100 for the past 3 or 4 days and they are ignoring the issue. They never acknowledge their mistakes and reimburse drivers. Let them continue with their heartlessness!

Taxify did you strong thing...check your ride history, there must me one 'driver did not respond'.
They did same to me few hours ago...they flashed me a request even though I turned off 'accept next ride' while on a trip. I didn't know they could do anything just to remove the bonus already showing in my account.

Taxify lite is slightly cheaper than Uber now.

To top it off in the past three days, each fare is short of #100-#400!

Not seen any changes with Taxify o, in fact, they didn't do end of month challenge for Nov. Not sure how long was the strike. Maybe guys are planning a bigger one.

Pls can someone help me? How long does inspection report take? I went for inspection two days ago at one of Cars45 centres & was told I'd get the report in my email in 24 hours but as I'm writing this I haven't seen anything. I've called & sent WhatsApp messages to the guy that did it & he said he's waiting for reply from hdqtres.

What a heck is this? Any similar experience? And by the way it's uber inspection.

Have you received your report now? I'm yet to get mine...abt 10 days now. I've called their call centre tire. The Car45 just dey useless.

In the short term yes. In the long time, fares will keep dropping till Uber is not a luxury service.

A guy earning 150k a month cant conveniently take uber twice a week for a month.

A 1.5k trip twice a week comes to 3k a week and 12k a month.

Hardly affordable for a 150k guy.


Much less affordable for 100k guy.

Infact to put it in perspective, a lot of the guys driving Uber cant afford uber.

That is not an affordable service.

The future of Uber is in companies who own large fleets and are able to keep costs down while making up for small margins with increased asset turnover.

That being said, Uber will always be profitable for the lone driver who owns his/her car.

Not everyone can afford taxi (yellow cab). E-cabs should be used by people that can afford it and when it's needed by people that can afford 2-5 trips weekly. There will always be a need! Yes, it should be affordable but not so cheap. For those willing but cannot afford, there is a cheaper alternative LT/danfo/faragon/molue.

they are a very incompetent company. They used all their money for adverts instead of actually delivering superb service. Even if they send the report finally, don't be surprised to see that your car failed.

Wow...na to call and curse the guy that did the inspection... Lol. Spent over 5 hours there yesterday. They resumed late, they said they went to HQ for meeting. And they did not attend to Uber inspection until after 2 hours.
See the mail I just got from their sister coy instead of my report.

They are very useless. I did mine yesterday @ Idimu centre and was promised that I will get it before the end of the day - I'm still waiting. I thought someone here gave a good report about them - they probably have few good centres.
