Y'all don't understand how the military works. From page 1 to 7. I can see just about 4-5 persons the understands how the military works. Bubu is a bigot, no doubt. But appointment of COAS is a different ball game. The maj.gen ahanotu was not chosen because he is not from the infantry corp and is due for retirement soon. Even late LT. Gen attahiru is due for retirement this year or next and was not supposed to be chosen but choosing someone from a lower RC would mean lots of generals would have to retire. These things are strategic. Bubu chose him because of what happened with buratai. Buratai's stay in that position for 5year really caused so much issues with the top military hierarchy. Imagine attahiru was Maj Gen for about 10years if not more. There were so many Maj Gen on ground then. Believe me, there's saturation in the rank of maj. Gen. Many are supposed to be long retired in a normal setting. So many officers from several RCs missed the chance to be COAS due to this. Normally, COAS should be at least 2-3 RCs apart. If buratai had spent just two years, everything would have been okay. Even ahanotu knew he was never going to be considered for COAS and this is not because of his tribe. He isn't infantry or even in the armoured corps. If he was infantry, then we can talk of nepotism here. The military ways are different from civil ways. I hope you understand this. When choosing COAS, those in the infantry corps have a higher chance of being selected. Thank you

It's not easy. I also move from here to the island(although I don't pay for transportation) but It's killing me everyday honestly. Lagos is just too stressful. The stress no be here. He should try to up his budget. If he does the maths of spending 40k per month for a year, it's would amount to 500k. There's nothing more satisfying that staying close to where you work especially in Lagos.
