Majesty7: You mean it's not criminal to pose as what you are not and using that gimmick to defraud unsuspecting investors? Are you sure of what you typed? Not criminal being a criminal? Or maybe you don't understand what they said he did
I dont think you understood what was written, it was a civil suite filed by the SEC fi it was in a criminal case it would have to be in the public interest, hence he offered no representation, he can appeal
jpmoriarti: Well, I have been to up 6 countries and I see how some of these things work. They're not rocket science. It'll surprise you that Rabat in Morocco has way more advanced transport system than Lagos
Amongst those countries name any of them tht has the underground rail lines
jpmoriarti: Yeahh building underground is not cheap but Lagos has the finances to at least have one line that is 50% underground. The population is bludgeoning. Govt should be thinking long-term.
With the depths of about 30 to 40m, no houses would be affected by the construction also.
Nigeria do not even have that kind of money let alone Lagos.I dont think you understand what £30B in pounds mean in Naira.
Kvarachi: In as much as I must commend Lagos state for this projects, I must also say I laugh at the kind of trains being used here. Yes, in most of us eyes the trains are brand new and all that. But I must say this trains are nothing to be compare with the western worlds own. Back in early 1990's I watched the India movie "BURNING TRAIN" which I later discover was shot in 1980 and "GHOST" an american movie featuring Whoopi Goldberg. Honestly the trains used in those movies of over 30 and 40yrs ago are far better than what I'm seeing here in Lagos in 2024. . But like I said earlier, I still commend the state governor.
And you came into these conclusion cos you don't like how thy look. They are brand new trains and they are diesel powered.
Phenmeson: I understand Bro. To maintain the house property that has more than 6flats or rooms na the issue. For over here, Estate agents or letting agency can look after properties with them receiving their commission.
But in 9ja getting such services is wot am searching for. I just want to get them in best condition inorder to hold its future value.
Thanks for your contribution 👏
yeh true talk, I personally had mine let by myself, but still,i ask myself what's the point, how much are they going to pay compared to the cost of building the house, mine is even new less than a year Old.Im kicking into the region of commercial building instead cos store rent in a good area could easily give you N1m per year, easy or almost no maintanance to yourself and cheap to build, just cost of land is higher but thats a given
ribbit: what is tribal sentiment in showing that peter obi hangs out with fraudulent people, ipob terrorists and bigots
you are saying this now see ur previous post,U know, us in the south laugh at yah lot.U wanna know my take? only Poor uneducated and jobless lot go online or in real world with these tribal bashing, the rest don give a shyte, Davido married chioma and nothing happened no one gave a monkeys cos the are rich people. Anyways ,happy bashing I wish you lot could invest your energy into something more meaningful!
jpmoriarti: Well, the blue rail is not particulary cheap with the first section costing over $1.2B for just 27km with just 5 stations, while Grand Paris Express Underground that was just built in time for the Olympic games with 68 stations and over 200km, cost about $36B. You can do the math and compare.
If Lagos wanted to build an underground, they easily could have.
The 1st underground line in the Uk was built in 1854 it as the metropolitan line back then it cost the British taxpayer £1m pounds.in todays money that is 2000x£1m.this was in 1854,so in 2024 .The newest line which was the Elizabeth line cost the tax payer more than £30 Billion to build. and its from London Abbey wood to Reading.60% underground.
jpmoriarti: What London is for Uk, is what Lagos is for Nigeria. It is baby steps at a time. Nobody is telling them to build up 400+ stations underground like Paris or London. Consider it for some route and maintain the environment.
U dont get it do you?the cost of building one underground rail track is almost 10 times the budget of the whole Nigeria.
Phenmeson: Good evening all. I just want to ask opinions of how to manage properties perfectly in Nigeria for someone who reside abroad.
* What to do in getting rent payment promptly and how to manage properties repair through Estate Agency or any reliable Third party company's in Ogun state area.
Thanks 🙏
Bross maintain ur house properly so it holds its value, rental market in Nigeria is a waste of time unless its a commercial let. Residential let is pants and hand bags.
jpmoriarti: Even as that, the distance for example, between Yaba station and Mushin station is very long. If they wanted this to impact more people and reduce over reliance on buses, then there should have been at least two more stations between Yaba and Mushin.
And yes it is also time Lagos considered underground rails. Way more efficient than all these, especially for corridors exclusively in Lagos.
Underground in Lagos? this one they are on is great, they are trying ,How many cities in the Uk do you think have Underground stations and lines?less than 4, and they the Uk are the father of Underground rail lines
ribbit: but y'all told us pitobi is a saint next to angel.
Why are you comparing him to Tinubu again na?
if this guy pay the money shey the wahala don pass, dont forget its not a criminal offence, we need to understand this not holding brief for the guy but we are too quick to jump into the tribal sentiments
Franking: You are wrong on all counts. You are delusional, conceited and very foolish. How old are you?
well thank you for the insults, but my questions and comment was with good intentions. Count one, if you live in NIgeria and you own a car you would have realised that that stupewd Road worthiness has no test, you pay and they issue you a certificate, The proof of road worthiness was meant to be the Nigerian version of MOT.Now if you own a car in Nigeria, do you take your car for full test b4 that certificate is given> or you pay all in one as your car renewal? This was why I said you dont live in Nigeria and if you do you do not own a car!
Franking: 80% of drivers on Nigerian roads know nothing about driving rules. Nigeria is one of the worst places to drive in. Road signs? Condition of the roads? Condition of the vehicles?
Road worthy test is a mandatory test before the anual renewal of vehicle licence but not a single vehicle is tested before the renewal....Nigeria is very far from civilization and modernization.
There are two things wrong with your comment, 1 you dont live in NIgeria 2 If you do well you do not or have never Owned a CAR
EreluRoz: It's the wife. I dislike men who drag properties with their wife.
No sensible woman will contribute to her husband's building, the wisest thing to do is to relieve him off some budden so that he can be financially ok to buy a land and build himself. She should have simply sell the land to him and get another land in her name.
A man can come tomorrow with kids from other women who will start dragging space with your children and insist they also have right to their father's property but what is yours as a woman solely belong to your children, nobody can drag it with them.
My deal breaker in marriage is having kids outside our union, no apologies on earth will ever make me stay and I'll never speak a word with you again till we go back to our creator, this is one thing I'll warn my future husband about. As tolerant and forgiving as I can be but don't ever dare that with me.
the law is specific on this issue, no grey area, If the cost of the house exceed the cost of the land, the cost of the land at time of building is returned to the wife. You can ask a Legal friend.
Bolu004: Mohammed Bello did not have access to funds like Wike. When Wike was appointed the FCT Minister, he lobbied for FCT to be removed from TSA which was approved by Tinubu. So he has every resources needed to achieve what he's presently doing in the FCT.
why did Mohamed not lobby when he was there. my guy no xcuse
Rawgold300: Thanks ..really appreciate your contribution.
You don’t understand how these people works, if you goes through our chat so far you see a pattern there.
This is someone asking me for the total cost of the damages even asking for my details to someone saying that he has taken me to court and will need to wait for court verdict . They are just like cartel on here .
No one fixes a court date rather the court does so. No barrister or lawyer has a right to write to a private individual unless they are sending them a Form relative to a specific law of the land or a section of the laws of the land.
Macmilla: This is exactly why I don't rush into buying a new transmission. It is also a gamble. You spend all that money to get what you are not even sure of. Even if it works, you don't know for how long it will work. You don't know what life is left on the fibres. But overhauling lets you know the internal condition of what you are driving. I normally use the opportunity to change every part that goes down with use, even if it is still usable. That way, you are basically using a new transmission if done well I've had an experience in my 2000 accord when I changed my transmission 2 times in one month and still didn't have a smooth shift. I just sold the car off. Those transmission sellers will never tell you the truth. And come to think of it, a 2004 Honda Accord is 20years old. Remember that Honda doesn't do new transmission as replacements part. So even the good transmission you got is 20yrs old. What are the chances that it is still very good?
I think you mean buying used Transmission not New transmission.
Glimpsetv: Two men have been caught attempting to perform a money ritual using sand taken from three different bank locations.
Confessing to the accusation, they revealed that they planned to collect sand from three banks—Access Bank, Wema Bank, and UBA—for the ritual. Speaking in the Yoruba dialect, they explained how they intended to carry out the ritual.
The question is, can sand collected from banks actually be used for such purposes?
